No but this is
Cringe and copepilled
Couldn't even win GOTY, in a year where nothing else came out. Even FFX won the award over MGS2, GTA III, Silent Hill 2 & Melee
so what did? no one knows.
how do i beat rom the vacuos nigger
Far better experience with dlc
It’s my favorite game but I’m not going to stoop to this faggotry
Hit him until he dies.
Not even the best PS4 game
Just run around him in circles, kill the little spiders one at a time. When he starts shooting crystal shit you are going to need to either listen to the audio for when they start raining down or always be sprinting around
The Witcher 3 won Critics GOTY, Undertale won the Gamers GOTY
>him
>he
imagine being an anglo in 2019
By gamers you mean trannys and underage kids
cringe and muttpilled
stay seethin', weeb
>roll, roll, stab
No
Seething
No, that would be the PS4 buyers
Want to know how I know you've never played it?
anglos are mutts and vice versa
Lmao imagine being either
Don't kill the little spiders, it's a huge waste of time and I don't understand why everyone says you should. Just try to be cautious and run to attack him after he does the blue rocks thing. Worked for me in every NG+
you posted the wrong pic, but Bloodborne is by far the best exclusive that dumb console have
>he
If they drop a BB2 trailer at the ps5 launch event ill fucking jizz myself.
Fuck Sony for not pushing/paying/whateveristheirdeal From for Pro enhancements
This, pool them to one side then sprint to the other side and get some hits in. If necessaru use fire paper.
Okay what do you want to say about it?
when have Yea Forums niggas cared about pronouns
>"Bloodborne is the toughest videogame ever create-"
Why do people want a sequel so bad? Not only did TOH wrap up the main game, we already have verifiable evidence that BB2 would be garbage.
Holy moly.
you called?
>Reddit: The Game
Lmao
I just played it over a month ago and platinum’d it in 7 days. It was my first souls-type game and I loved it. I hope number 2 is eventually made.
>I hope number 2 is eventually made.
No, you don't. Refer to .
d.
>reddit
It's not the most popular game of the franchise. It's behind mgs5,mgs4,mgs2 in popularity
>Couldn't even win GOTY
Dragon Age Inquisition won goty forever proving that game awards are completely meaningless and only ever brought up on Yea Forums by autists when it serves their contrarianism
As bad as DA:I was, it was still the best game nominated that year, since Tropical Freeze somehow wasn't.
>it was still the best game nominated
Right, because game journos and the awards themselves are a meaningless pissing contest over who can make the most progressive cinematic experience
BB isn't even the best game on PS4. EDF 4.1 and 5 are better so B is #3. can't you guys PS4 correctly?
I actually teared up on Ludwig and Orphan in this game (I met them for the first time on NG+) because the fights were so long and so exhaustingly intense the whole way through. My eyes don't go red / face doesn't flush or anything; tears just well up and appear on the far edges of my eyes for some reason and my hands start shaking while gripping the controller.
The controller shaking also happened a few times in Sekiro but I don't remember any involuntary tearing up like that. Maybe it's the music that really brings it to that level. In Souls and BB, the boss music is written at a tempo that matches the timings of the bosses attacks, so often the moves seem to sync up with it and it looks glorious
absolutely based. SM will always be my favorite game of all time and I can't even be nostalgic for it.
Based.
>optional dungeons
>the only treasure is more optional dungeons
fuckin shit
>Not only did TOH wrap up the main game
ToH didn't do anything but introduce more questions.
Why do people obsess about BB so much? It's not that good. Is it because it's the only exclusive the PS4 has?
Cope.
Objectively wrong. It gave us the entire backstory of Byrgenwerth's involvement with the Great Ones and fleshed out major characters like Gehrman and Laurence a lot more. Also, revealed who Kos was and why we can see ship masts from the Nightmare Frontier.
So no response?
Let me ask in your own language "cuck seethe cope"
You first OP
Holy that is a lot of movies and non-exclusives
>PS5 will be able to play this
>8K
>no loading screens
>60fps
cant fucking wait bros
>Is it because it's the only exclusive the PS4 has?
Why do faggots always jump to this conclusion? Imagine not being an idort in 2019+.
>movies
This meme wasn't funny the first time. Sony focuses on gameplay more than any other company.
Nice list of PC ports
>Sony focuses on gameplay more than any other company.
You were saying?
All the best loot is in the chalice dungeons. Making a VIT twink and beating them all at low level to access said loot and become an absolute beast in low level coop / PVP is the patrician way to play. Also exploring the ultra dangerous randomly-generated dungeons with coop buddies is super fun.
It is a slog going through the stupid story chalices every time you make a new character though
I am one though. Which is why I'm asking why people jerk it off so much. It's really not that amazing.
How will PSNow cucks ever recover?
Actually sony focuses on story and cinematics more than any other company
Forgot webm.
See
>This meme again
>that shitty fucking camera in an action game because they wanted to make it cinematic
You proved him right, moron
I'm curious to know which gaming company you think actually focuses on story and cinematic.
Is God Hand considered cinematic?
I wonder.
>DeS was a new and fresh experience, but relatively crude
>DaS1 was great, latter half is arguably bad
>DaS2 shit the bed
And then came BB. It felt liberating after DaS1 and 2 ditched DeS' faster mobility. Combat is fun. Trick weapons were a nice touch. They brought back intricate level design of DeS too, despite being noticeably linear than DaS1. Great bosses. Best DLC FROM has made. Good art direction. A lot of passion was put into BB, and even Miya developed a boss all on his own. What's not to love?
What is this webm supposed to be showing?
>latter half is arguably bad
No, it's not. Lost Izalith is the only bad area.
Monolith? Do they even make enough games to be considered focused on anything?
Ok, we can safely discard your opinions.
>Lost Izalith is the only bad area.
Duke's archives stinks too
God tier gameplay found in Sony games.
Does God Hand have entire sections where you just walk around talking to your wife's son?
Better than Yahar'ghul.
AAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
No, but it does have the same pulled in camera.
Yahar'gul at least has an interesting aesthetic with the amygdalae all over the buildings and the petrified people melted into the walls and shit, duke's archives is just painfully boring from beginning to end
Cope.
Maybe, just maybe all from games are mediocre and people blow their quality way out of proportion.
It is amazing. The art design, overall aesthetic and combat animations are stylish as fuck and the game feels great to control. The whole Victorian era theme of huge blunderbusses / duelist pistols, Van Helsing beasts and Frankenstein monsters, and ancient / alien labyrinths (featuring unknown god-beings as bosses) is fantastic.
Then the coop adds so much replayability, and the PVP too if you're into it
>and the PVP too if you're into it
Truly a masterpiece.
It really isn't though. It's incredibly boring and repetitive.
>some player was a retard here so that means the PVP is bad
that guy in white is doing like 10 damage per attack with his shitty bolt sword
It really is though. It's incredibly engrossing and replayable
The PvP is unanimously agreed to be terrible in every Souls game, but it's particularly bad in Bloodborne.
Based
If it's so good why does it suck?
Absolutely based.
git gud
First playthrough, I'm in the Forbidden Woods and working at beating the Shadows of Yharnam. However, I have totally lost track of the story or what I am supposed to be doing, not that it really matters much I guess
But I already beat it and found it boring and simple. Wouldn't that mean I'm already good?
It doesn't suck, you just have really bad taste.
You probably never actually played it and you're just a PC baby who refuses to even give it a chance because >muh 30fps
you probably did coop the whole way through like a bitch
What is this showing?
lmao just roll bro
>I hated this game and I beat it so I could tell people how much I hated it
The immediate story of Bloodborne is very simple: You are contracted by the Hunter's Dream to go and silence Mergo, to end the Mensis ritual.
Mega Man X?
>going through all that trouble when you can just bait his attacks and shoot him for easy viscerals
Good for you user, i feel dirty after cheesing him like that.
Mfw I spent 2 hours practicing on him just to get him to clip into the rocks so that I could cheese his final form only to not need it anymore becaue I practiced on him for 2 hours and got gud.
The god tier gameplay that only Sony games can provide.
I did play it though so nice projection.
Again nice projection.
Maybe the game isn't super super difficult as you think.
Major flaws
- Require internet/guide help (no one could think of the umbilical cord, father g music box and castle invitation in the clinic)
- First 2 areas are great then it becomes horror autism mixed with dull forest
- DLC weapons should have been included in the main game
- the hospital/asylum in the DLC is garbage and it has nothing to do with the bloodborne setting it's just mindless grind autism
that said it's a solid 7.5/10
p.s: there is that super hard npc 1v1 in the cathedral but you must talk to that other npc hunter on the outside. most people missed that too
Tell me what your response is if I didn't beat it then?
You're just gonna dismiss what I say no matter what.
Face it, it's not that good a game and From are hacks.
Why did Dunkey bitch about batman taking up a third of the screen but not about Kratos doing the same thing?
>HAHA PROJECTION PROJECTION HAHAHA
>there is that super hard npc 1v1 in the cathedral
Imagine thinking the Blood Crow of R*ddit is hard.
"I beat the game and found it simple and boring"
Hahaha you totally didn't play it all it's like the hardest game ever made and soooo challenging from games are the fucking best
Looks lame.
>Sony focuses on gameplay more than any other company.
They are dead last on the category
>from games are the fucking best
This but unironically.
try beating that npc in NG+ you filthy youtuber
The Chikage is the patrician's BLT weapon.
>face it, my opinion is right and yours is wrong
fuck off cunt
They really aren't.
>mfw we got into a visceral -> him doing a counter-combo when getting up->shoot and visceral again loop
He finally managed to enter his 2nd phase with only 1/4 of his health left.
Nah cunt. Just cause I speak the truth doesn't mean you get to reject it.
it fucking sucks. I only use it because I have to when I play a Bloodtinge build, since its the only primary weapon that does pure blood damage until the end of the DLC
I'm going to dismiss what you say because what you're saying is retarded contrarianism and lying about having beaten the game doesn't change that
That's because it is.
Its all flash and no substance.
My only issue is by the time you get to the cooler weapons/tools you would have killed most of the bosses in the game so then you're left with nothing to use them on. Yeah you can go into NG+ but everything just becomes a damage sponge then unless you autisticly grind for gems that require online to find decent glyphs
>it fucking sucks.
It's one of the most broken weapons in the game.
youtube.com
I'll reject your brainlet opinion all I want bitchboi
Absolutely retarded post.
Again you can't accept I beat the game and thought it was simple.
How insecure are you that your precious souls games aren't that difficult?
It's the most powerful weapon in the game user.
I didn't say anything about difficulty, but nice freudian slip shitposter-kun
They are, hands down, the most patrician developers ever.
How can I be a brainlet if these games are simple?
I thought they were meant to be only for people who are good with 2000 IQ? Or is that just insecurity?
Awful lot of projection here
The health drain is why it sucks. And the tricked moveset, some of the swings miss even when the enemy is right in front of you because you swing it so far to the sides and so not horizontally enough.
It's also very weak 1 handed as a BLT build
What slip exactly? You dismissed my opinions as having not beaten the game and I should git gud when I said they were simple.
Were you not the one to bring up difficulty?
after playing 95 hours the only 2 weapons i liked were ludwig blade and axe
everything else is flawed
Many games have things that take trial and error to find out. Majorca mask for example, which is praised and was before le internet walkthrough. If you needed or couldn’t figure out the music box you might be brain dead
>You dismissed my opinions as having not beaten the game
Correct
>and I should git gud
You have literally imagined this
Yeah I know. But I had unfortunately come down to your level as apparently it's too big brained for you to understand that it's not that good of a game.
>The health drain is why it sucks.
It's .85% of your max health per second. It's negligible at best. With 50 BLT and some Damp BLT Gems, the Chikage's damage output is unmatched.
The only thing i missed out of these is the music box, i actually ended up getting all 4 of the cords cause i found about the Iosefka entrance too late and i didn't trust her enough to send anyone there except the guy that you find on a literal pile of corpses. The other 2 cords are easy to find (one is given to you after the boss and you'll come across the other one if you search every place thoroughly).
Basically I just kited him until he did his shooting attack, after he shoots at you he does one of two moves I forget the other one but the one you gotta wait for is when he jumps in your face real fast. It has an almost slowmotion effect giving you ample time to sidestep behind him and get your visceral attack in, then it's just rinse and repeat until the second phase.
Why is it so hard to understand that it's possible to have played the game and to think its mediocre at best?
Epic brainposter showing le snoy fromdrones what's what xD
it takes like 100 hours of farming the same stupid enemy to get those gems. And you can do pretty much the same damage with LHB, standard 27% phys gems and a 50-50 STR/SKL quality build
>mfw i went and fought him the moment he spawned so he could 2-shot me while i had to get like 10 v.attacks on him
Felt so good after i killed him, still using BoM.
why would you finish a game you think is mediocre
The other one requires you to send Arianna to the chapel, go back there after you kill Micolash and kill her baby.
Why is it so hard to understand that you have garbage taste regardless of whether or not you've played it
Flawed because you didn’t like it?
>Play music to make boss confused
Yes no one thought of that shit. It's a shit mechanic and besides most people living outside of Britanistan don't know priests have multiple wives
You mean the most powerful weapon in the game sucks?
People kept telling me I had to finish it and it will be better so I did. Still wasn't that good.
Why don't you consider maybe your taste isn't all that good if you think this is the pinnacle of games.
Tell me 1 weapon that has crowd control and does not require meme gems to do good damage
No, there's a Damp BLT Gem (5) in the base game that gives you around a 22% BLT attack boost. It's not as good as the gems you'll find in the Chalice Dungeons, but it's still really good.
>And you can do pretty much the same damage with LHB, standard 27% phys gems and a 50-50 STR/SKL quality build
This is true, but the Chikage is still one of the best weapons in the game. The Reiterpallasch is the bad one.
the description of the music box literally says his name
>buying a whole console just for a DLC
the axe
>everything else is flawed
Nice bait. Literally every single weapon in the game is not only viable but effective and adaptable. It's like complaining twin swords are shit compared to ultra greatswords, despite the fact that they have a much higher DPS than a UGS. Test out other weapons, like the BoM or Rakuyo.
>unironically thinking a game is good based entirley on the amount of people that played it and awards its won
protip: this is why every souls game aster dark souls on was garbage
>if you think this is the pinnacle of games.
You're making shit up again, do you have an argument against a point I've made that you haven't completely imagined
Hunter's Axe
exactly. Axe and ludwig blade are the only two weapons that doesn't suck
> most people living outside of Britanistan don't know priests have multiple wives
The fuck are you talking about, schizo?
>People kept telling me I had to finish it
oh so you're just retarded, ok
Brainlet strat
If you're not a moron, hit the spiders in the rear for extra damage. Kill them off until there's few enough of them to be ignored and just bumrush the boss.
Why would I bother arguing with you at this point? You've repeatedly dismissed my experiences because you cannot handle the fact they don't align with yours.
>Rakuyo
what's the difference between Rakuyo and chikage?
The Chikage and the Bowblade are better than both of those.
>how can you say it's bad if you didn't finish it
>how can you think it's bad if you finished it
I've dismissed them because literally the only argument you've made is "it sucks because I don't like it and you need to accept that it sucks," which means you're either baiting or you're a complete fucking retard and not worth engaging in either case
>what's the difference between Rakuyo and chikage?
...they have entirely different movesets.
Yeah, i sent everyone to the chapel cause Iosefka seemed suspicious after i talked to her again (kudos to the VAs) and i figured it'd be the usual "creepy-looking guy is actually the good one" story, so i got her cord too with no guides. And i was lucky (or maybe unlucky?) that i found the back-entrance to Iosefka's really fucking late (i rushed through the woods the first time cause i kept getting lost) so she was already on the table when i got there. I do agree about anons point about the DLC weapons though, they're way too fun.
The former doesn't have BLT scaling and the Rakuyo has better trick string combos.
>kudos to the VAs
Why is the voice acting so damn good in all the Souls games?
because there's like 2 paragraphs of dialogue for each game
And you're entire arguments have been "noooo you just haven't played it, it's a perfect game and the best, it's impossible for people to dislike!"
except it can only do good damage after NG+
>The Reiterpallasch is the bad one.
I'm still doing a Reiterpallasch/Evelyn + Cainhurst armor run and you can't stop me!
>Axe and ludwig blade are the only two weapons that doesn't suck
Do you understand how stat allocations work, user? It's very easy.
>God tier gameplay
They use english theater voice actors, not shitty american VAs.
There's a Damp BLT Gem (5) in the Nightmare of Mensis, so you can start dishing out good damage at the end of NG. Just face it, the Chikage is GOAT.
>noooo you just haven't played it
Because you pretty obviously haven't, otherwise you'd have moved on from that point by now rather than protesting too much
>it's a perfect game and the best, it's impossible for people to dislike
I know it's easier to argue against a person you've completely made up in your head but it makes you look like a dipshit
>Be me a teenager
>Three Words Spoken
>Red Dead Redemption
>excited.jpg
then why do you show an overrated extremely mediocre rehash?
what's the best strategy to kill those two big fish in the DLC again? I remember beating the two by accident but in the NG++ i had to watch some guy on youtube saying how to get one by one
Is this the power of the high IQ bloodborne player.
Can't accept people have beaten bloodborne and don't like their game?
>rehash
DeS was crude, DaS1 felt rushed after latter half, and DaS2 is just bad. It's arguably a better game than its predecessors for the most part.
Just dodge, user.
I still can’t beat darkbeast paarl
pre-dlc poll
strawpoll.me
face it: bloodborne has only two good weapons
i can't accept that people are retarded enough to waste time on something they don't even like
Just dodge.
And don't lock on.
fight the anchor one until it reaches half HP, then stab it with a shaman bone blade when it turns around so that it fights with the other shark
How? He is one of the easiest bosses in the game. Just keep attacking his legs and stagger lock him.
Did you have parents growing up?
So going back to where we started
>I hated this game and I suffered all the way through it to the end just so I could tell people how much I hated it
Face it. Every weapon is viable. You're just too fucking retarded to allocate your stats.
Step aside for the true patrician weapon
he's hard as shit when you first meet him and you're only like level 19
>Logarius' Wheel
Is this the worst weapon in a Souls game?
>missing out on the best weapons in Souls history
Only boss i summoned an NPC for help. Me being underleveled while also still learning the game (first time playing and Souls-type game) certainly didn't help.
...
>forbidden forest
>normal enemies this is ok
>get farther fucking snakes
>due to snakes
>make wrong turn going there and find a lake of poison
>get back there
>do many fucking snakes
>run away
>make wrong turn
>aliens but at least not snakes right?
>wrong
I’m waiting till I have time to play again this game is so fun
maybe, maybe burial blade can be considered a good weapon with axe and ludwig holy blade but that's a weapon you only get after finishing the main game so it's useless
No? It's very good.
Just attack his legs, you can permanently stagger him. He's the easiest boss that isn't Witches, Celestial Emissary or The One Reborn.
>Shit ARC scaling
>Shit SKL scaling
>Slow attacks
>Tricked form is borderline useless
>Very good
Are you really going to pretend that's an average Sony experience? From Software is a 3rd party dev, owned by a different company, they are not a Sony studio
Are you fucking retarded? Can you not put points outside of STR? Holy shit, you must be straight sword shitter too in Souls.
>BoM that high
I dropped Ludwig's sword cause you told me it was a crutch/OP, did i fell for another meme weapon?!
Saw cleaver and saw spear are both some of the most safe and effective weapons in the game. They are more effective than the axe
This.
>>Shit ARC scaling
>>Shit SKL scaling
It's a strength weapon first, and you can get gems to up your arcane.
>>Slow attacks
Adapt, retard. I bet you pick straight swords all the time in souls.
>>Tricked form is borderline useless
Crowd control is useless? With the right gems, it does great damage.
For someone whose favourite game is Bloodborne, should I play Sekiro or Nier: Automata?
v hates ludwig blade because it's popular. Other than that it's a weapon that doesnt suck
Yea Forums was shilling church pick last year but it's garbage too
Church pick is fucking great, fuck off
So you admit you have no argument.
>buying a whole console just for some weapons
Play Nioh and Death end Re;Quest
Sekiro is much better.
>church pick is shit
Am I playing a different game?
What are the best gems for it? ARC or STR?
Just beat Orphan after like 400 attemps. Felt amazing, and then... sadness.
Sekiro is better than Bloodborne, only flaw being the setting is a bit more boring
A lot of the Bloodborne threads lately are in response to how good Sekiro is & Sony fanboys are a bit uncomfortable at the moment
Arc.
Nice meme moveset webm now show you beating last dlc boss or any other hard boss in the game with it
>Sekiro is better than Bloodborne
>Sekiro is better than Bloodborne
Not really though. It's not even better than any souls game.
DS2 and 3 are pretty bad, though.
For a twink build, wheel is OP as shit in pvp because you can put brainsucker gems on it that can add like + 208 flat arcane damage to every hit, and that just combines with its regular arcane damage. The hitbox is huge and lingering.
Also it is the only weapon in the game that can really apply poison effectively. The tricked dash attacks all hit 2 or 3 times par attack. These multi-hits allow you to slow / rapid poison any enemy very fast, even ones that are supposed to be immune to it if you do it enough.
I also use it on my 25-50 STR / ARC character because the R2s and dash R1s destroy pthumerians of all types, and most phthumerian dungeon bosses.
I don't use it untricked much though
>the only weapon in the game that can really apply poison effectively.
>First time playing bloodborne
>Beating every single boss first try
I thought it would be way harder but I guess having an agressive playstyle that fucked me up in dark souls might be helpful in bloodborne
This strategy is a pain in chalice dungeons
You didn't beat BSB, Ebrietas or Logarius on your first try.
Oh come on BSB is definitely first-try-able, thing is a retard.
>open vid to watch the pick in action
>hear that scream
>close the video
Nope, too soon, this fight still gives me ptsd.
>BSB
I forgot to summon NPC first 6 times I tried to kill him.
Ebrietas for me. Maybe i was over-leveled but i killed her first time completely blind. Logarius did rape me for a couple of hours though.
>It's too hard, why can't i spam R1 with saw cleaver to win
Every Bloodborne fan
and yet, Yea Forums worships DMC. Maybe being flashy is fun, even if it doesn't make a huge difference in terms of effect.
DMC has actual combo's, GOW you can spam your wifes son's arrows to kill anything
>spam arrows to kill anything
try playing on a higher difficulty than ultra easy mode
I've played a bit of Nioh, I got bored because it didn't have the awesome worldbuilding that most From games have.
I've never heard of Death end Re;Quest before. What is it like?
These answers conflict with
Maybe Sekiro is similar quality so preference is subjective?
why, Cory said easy mode is how it should be played?
I'm pretty sure having it out also makes your visceral attacks do more damage, at least it does if you put +thrust gems in it
Sekiro is a masterpiece and the best game ever made.
>R1 R1 L1 R1 R1 L1 R1 R1 L1 R1 R1 L1 *occasionally shinobi tool* R1 R1 L1
I find it hard to believe that it would be as magnificent as the Old Hunter's DLC, but I am hoping that it would be as great as base game Bloodborne. Will Sekiro have a DLC? Or will they make a sequel set on the continent like the rumours on Yea Forums are saying?
Also what are you guys thoughts on Monster Hunter World? Is it good? Or is it incomplete and I should wait for the Iceborne expansion?
>Bloodborne
>R1 R1 R1 R1
playing this currently on PSNow on PC, there goes your exclusive lmao
Games journo who played with Kuro's charm spotted.
>literally R1 R1 R1 the boss
yes, truly master piss
more like
>R1 R1 O O L1 R1 R2 R1 hold R2 O R1 R1
Why doesn't Bloodborne get more credit for its story, Yea Forumsros?
sure, if you're fighting a random yharnamite
blainlets cant follow it
>no DLC
>stream definition
>input delay
You haven't even played Sekiro.
this was the best fight in video game history
>Only library in the game that transitions into a crystal world with crystals slowly taking it over
vs
>Gothic architecture #159 with the same enemies for the fifth time that transports you into the most boring looking dreamscape of all time
Yeah, you're full of shit.
I did. The Genichiro fight is just R1 every second and deflect one particular attack. No movement aside from going forward. No dodging. In the second phase you do the same, except you lightning counter.
I'm not saying Sekiro is a bad game, but you deliberately chose the second Genichiro fight to highlight the game, when it is the mechanically most boring boss that is in the game. Even Emma forces you to sidestep once in a while.
>no DLC
>only 720p
those are true but it has around the same input delay as your average television if you're on a excellent connection
>NG+
>charm
>doesn't mikiri the thrust
>doesn't dodge or shuriken the air attack
Booooo!
Emma is my wife!
Which boss was developed by Miyazaki?
Cuz it's pretty bad and basically nothing is explained.
based
You mean
>Copy/pasted bookshelves over 90% of the area and three linear hallways stacked on top of each other that eventually turns into a crystal cave you're in for all of five minutes
vs
>Lower area of gothic city that's been completely taken over by horrific cultist monstrosities melted into one another and into the walls and floors with gigantic insectoid alien gods chilling all over the architecture just watching you and occasionally shooting lasers at you
>This entire post
i.4cdn.org
i.4cdn.org
how can Sekiro even compete
>gothic city that's been completely taken over by horrific cultist monstrosities melted into one another
Yeah, so just like all of Bloodborne.
Easy.
You're mad because it's true.
>Bloodborne has no environmental diversit-
No? Yahar'gul is the only area with people melted into the walls and enemies that are just big clusters of bodies fused together
It has the second best video game narrative, only behind PS:T and the game tells you everything, but it's not delivered to you through easily digestible cutscenes. You have to actually immerse yourself in the game world and read item descriptions.
Nearly everything is explained though
Entire main plot is easy to follow. And the lore isn't any more obscure than souls. You just need to follow visual cues and flavor text.
Pretty much this and the spider is a she.
Fuck what people here tell you because they're casuals. Get Arcane resistant gear. Equip and upgrade the fuck out of the Tonitrus. Equip high blunt damage gems or increased attack. Rom is weak to bolt. Summon the other hunter if you can since he can at times help with killing spiders.
There will be times when Rom will cast arcane spells from above just quickly move out the way from them. Especially, when she changes position. Spin around her a lot and whack her with the Tonitrus charged up her health will drop down an assload.
Also, just to add the little spiders will die instantly whacking them with the Tonitrus.
>Literally one optional areas which is completely irrelevant and barely finished
>More gothic architecture, but this time in the snow
-y.
>Yahar'gul is the only area with people melted into the walls
Literally every part of Yharnam is filled with an absurd amount of statues.
>enemies that are just big clusters of bodies fused together
Which you fight only on the streets for all of a minute before you go back to killing more Yharnamites and another garbage boss. Not to say they're the same horrific type of enemies you find in the rest of the game.
I wish the music was better. The only music I remember really liking in the middle of the fight was the song for true Corrupted Monk
She just went to find some more blood, i'm sure she's ok.
>Bloodborne has no environmental diversit-
>implying environmental variety = good art direction
I guess DaS2 has the best art direction out of the series? What a retarded post.
You don't seem biased at all
>it's not delivered to you through easily digestible cutscenes
Or not delivered at all. What Laurence's endgame was is never explained. Nor is what the old blood is. Nor what the Moon Presence is actually doing.
What went wrong?
>What Laurence's endgame was is never explained.
To ascend humanity to the next level of evolution.
>Nor is what the old blood is.
Blood of the Great Ones found in the Chalice Dungeons.
>Nor what the Moon Presence is actually doing.
The nature of Great Ones is beyond human comprehension.
Look, it's open grassy area #2! Can't wait to get to its dead end instead of actually connecting to open grassy are #3 seen in the distance!
It does though. If you're going through the same looking area in the game 3 hours in you haven't progressed at all.
Well, thank you.
>What Laurence's endgame was is never explained
He was literally founder of the Healing Church and sought to understand the old blood, to use it as a means to progress humanity forward.
> what the old blood is
Blood harvested from the Labyrinths, from Great Ones most likely.
>Nor what the Moon Presence is actually doing.
He was beckoned by Laurence and his associates. Somehow, Gehrman was ripped from the waking world and became the MP's "child", we learn G.O.s can't conceive children themselves and are always searching for human surrogates. Literally a note in the Byrgenwerth College building..
>MMO tier enemy art direction
>hideous architecture
>nonsensical level design
>"good art direction"
made me chuckle
>DS2 contrarian brainlets think their opinions are worth an oily turd
>Bloodborne has no environmental diversit-
>ascend humanity
This is never really stated. It's only stated that Laurence wanted to commune, most likely with Oedon, but not that he wanted to ascend humanity. The ones trying to make humans evolve are Byrgenwerth and the Choir which re-adopted its methods; Laurence and Mensis didn't want the same type of evolution.
>Blood of the Great Ones
A huge assumption, especially when Oedon seeks blood. Makes no sense for the blood Oedon is seeking to come out of Great Ones. Most likely it's the blood of Yharnam, but that's just speculation.
>Lost Izalith is the only bad area.
NLR and TotG have shitty gimmicks and Demon Ruins literally looks unfinished
>Unironically thinks anything is more boring than Duke's Archives
Ah, I see. You're just a contrarian looking for replies.
>boss arena with literally nothing in it
>"Master Wilhelm was right. Evolution without courage will be the ruin of our race" (Lecture Building)
dark souls has that too
Laurence was a part of Byrgenwerth and was a colleague of Willem. They part ways because they have disagreements on how humanity should ascend; Willem fears that the Old Blood is dangerous and should be feared and that Insight is the way to evolution (he was right), whereas Laurence felt that the Old Blood was the proper path to evolution. Laurence leaves Byrgenwerth and forms the Healing Church which is rooted in using the Old Blood. The Healing Church undergoes a schism which consist of The Choir, who carry on Willem's work in the Upper Cathedral Ward, and the School of Mensis founded by Micolash who continue work with the Old Blood.
We know that Ebrietas was a source of the Old Blood, since she's contained in Upper Cathedral Ward.
It's... vacuous. Like Rom's mind.
gottem
Also a lake you can walk on is more interesting than literally just pitch black nothingness.

What the actual fuck is wrong with DS2lets?
>We know that Ebrietas was a source of the Old Blood
Wrong. Ebrietas wasn't discovered until the Choir was established. She also couldn't be the source of the old blood given the Choir precisely doesn't use that.
>Ebrietas wasn't discovered until the Choir was established.
No one brought DS2 up until BBabies had to shift attention away from their unfinished game to an even shittier game.
severe undiagnosed autism
>Bloodborne
>Unfinished
So DS2lets were just lurking in the thread the whole time until someone brought their game up?
>dude just read the descriptions lmao
Seriously nigger?
>DLC is half the game
>Not unfinished
No. No one is defending or discussing DS2.
What purpose does the Choir have with Ebrietas when they're rooted in using eyes as a way to ascend? Ebrietas isn't even a bonafide Great One.
>say BB's art direction is bad
>ask why
>"UMMMM SAMEY SAME, NO VARIETY"
>bring up how varied environments doesn't equal good art direction. Case in point: DaS2
>NOOOOOOOOOOO SNOOYYYY
Pathetic.
Look at this shit. Look at how uninspired it looks. It doesn't even have windows.
>6-8 hours of content is half the game
It's more finished than DaS1, 2 and 3.
>Those textures
Holy shit, how did this game ever make it past quality control?
>The Daughter of the Cosmos
>nothing to do with gaining eyes
Ebrietas probably does count as a Great One, but even if she isn't she's still the closest kin have ever come to one.
Not to say kin in general are of interest to the Choir/Byrgenwerth.
>DLC adds half the weapon arsenal of the game and most of the bosses worth remembering
>Not half a game
Whatever you say sweety.
If Ebrietas belonged to the Choir, then what was Mensis' source for Old Blood? I was under the assumption that Ebrietas provided the Healing Church with most of the blood that they administered.
You realize the harder you try the more obvious you get right
Take a look at Duke's Archives and Demon Ruins and compare that shit to ANY area of BB.
>DaS1: post O&S is rushed out the ass
>DaS2: no need to explain
>DaS3: absolutely rushed, too many bonfires (as a result of a scrapped DIY make your bonfire mechanic), extremely linear, lore retcons, retarded stamina balance, massive cut content some enemies ripped straight from BB like the cramped caskets, etc, etc
>TFW you realize DaS2 was better than DaS3
Obvious at what? I'm not hiding anything.
>Take a look at Duke's Archives
I already have
A lot of these changes also happened very late into the game's development cycle, especially the DIY bonfire mechanic. BB has nowhere near the amount of cut content, and most of them were from very early builds of BB.
>BUT DARK SOULS
Posting the same thing over and over will not change anything.
>what was Mensis' source for Old Blood?
Whatever the Church's source for old blood is.
And why would Mensis care about the blood when they have Mergo to attract Great Ones?
BB is the most finished "souls" games yet.

youtube.com
youtube.com
Like I said, most of the content was from early builds. Keep seethin'.
Wasn't Mensis' entire point to continue experimenting with using the Old Blood and continue Laurence's wishes? I know they're eventually granted audience with Mergo because of the cord, but I assumed that doesn't happen immediately upon their foundation.
No, that's Sekiro, followed by DS1.
Refer to . There is not one single aspect of Bloodborne that wasn't altered enormly through development.
Because the game is amazing and I want more content to play
>DaS1
>finished
>forgetting post O&S
>Sekiro
>a souls game
You have infinite content to play.
>followed by DS1.
The entire second half of the game is very blatantly rushed

>entire questlines scrapped down to the DLC
>early builds
Sure buddy.
>story changed completely from the alpha
Wrong.
>followed by DS1.
weak bait
Why don't you actually watch the videos I posted you complete ass?
chalice dungeons are shite
Refer to BB is by far their most cohesive souls game. And all lore has been nicely tied up.
Besides Lost Izalith there're are no unfinished areas in DaS. You can bitch all you want, but none of them are as disappointing as Mensis.
How is Mensis disappointing?
>all lore has been nicely tied up
The lore wasn't even coherent until the DLC explained who Kos was.
Okay but why did you post Bloodborne then?
>infinite
>when there's a set number of them
>none of them are as disappointing as Mensis.
Yikes.
Izalith is absolutely their worst area by FROM and houses two of their shittiest bosses in DaS1: ceaseless hotbox and bed of cancer. The environment is a fiery eyesore.
Bed of Cancer is also their shittiest boss ever.
>Besides Lost Izalith there're are no unfinished areas in DaS.
Demon Ruins
Duke's Archives
Based.
The fact that all people remember from it is Micolash, who isn't even the boss for the level, is all people remember about it should tell you.
>Lost Izalith
>Dukes Archives
>New Londo
>not as disappointing
>absolutely their worst area by FROM

>Demon Ruins
>an area
No.
>The longest post-O&S area

No.
Who remembers Izalith other than its shitty bed of chaos?
>New Londo
>post-O&S
It's very memorable, just for the wrong reasons.
>Demon Ruins
>not an area
Literally has 3 bosses
>Duke's Archives is large
>therefore it is good
"no"
This exactly.
>Remember the Duke's Archives
Nobody does because it's a small shitty unfinished location with nothing in it.
This is how it actually went
>*wakes up in a jail cell*
>oh damn, tower of latria was sick, can't wait to see how they improved it in this game!
>*blows through it in 20 minutes and forgets it ever existed*
>Literally has 3 bosses
Yeah, right next to each other.
>therefore it is good
I said finished, not good. Which it is anyway. Now the crystal caves are unfinished.
>right next to each other.
>one at the beginning, one in the middle, and one at the end
>Nobody does because it's a small shitty unfinished location with nothing in it.
You called?
>Posts a pre cursor to one of the best areas in the game
Firesage and Centipede demon are literally next to each other though. And there's only a couple capra demons and taurus demons between them and Ceaseless D.
Based
>posts concept art
Almost like the area is rushed and unfinished
Uh, yeah?
If Bloodborne is such a good game, then why are half of the bosses so shit?
Shut up monkey-chased sweaty spats-loli!
The only bad bosses are rom and celestial emissary
Rom is one of the better bosses.
The One Reborn and Paarl are DaS2 tier though.
I bit the bullet and decided to play the game on PSnow. I'm not gonna lie, I had a lot of fun and it was 10x more enjoyable for me than Sekiro. But I felt it was much easier than other souls games except for some bosses like the bloodstarved labia and Gehrman.
Still better than the trash that was DS3 and chikage best weapon
>0 replay value
>greatest game ever made
Paarl is cool, one reborn is kinda meh but I wouldn't say it's really bad it's more of a callback to the tower knight than anything
fpbp
>Unironically dying to the easiest boss in the game
Absolute state of PKeks.
Also the One Reborn, Living Failures, Undead Giant, Merciless Watchers, Witches of Hemwick, the Shadows of Yharnam.
And I'm being generous by not counting all the other one-trick bosses which are easy as shit or janky. Outside Gascoigne, Logarius, Gehrman, Ludwig, Orphan, Cleric Beast/Laurence and Abhorrent Beast the bosses aren't very good, and frankly there's way too fucking many of them.
limited to one (or 2) discs
someday the 1tb content
>replay value
shitty zoomer metric
>the Shadows of Yharnam.
Nice bait.
Living failures and shadows of yharnam were fine, I honestly never even remember to count chalice bosses because I hate the chalice dungeons. I agree on the witches though I forgot about them
Maria is great too.
Hah.
No.
Nice bait.
How does he have that many souls and that helmet? Im gonna say this is ng+ so it doesn't count. The boss is hard when you've never seen its moveset before and you have very little poison res in the beginning. He just hits you twice then BOOM you have to keep using antidotes
>inb4 just dont get hit bro
>99END
>gank squad
>good
shit taste
she's really great
>>inb4 just dont get hit bro
This but unironically.
You can avoid everything he throws at you by dodging to the left.
She's R1: The Boss. The only thing she has going for her is presentation. Living Failures is unironically a more interesting fight.
At least in BB you are agile. It's a great boss, requires your spatial awareness. In low BL runs, they are casual filters.
The best boss to fight is unironically Sir Alonne and the Penetrator. Fume Knight is a honorable mention as well as the Soul of Cinder. All other answers are neglible save maybe the Orphan of Kos and Lady Maria.
>reused assets waifu
>anything but garbage
Casuals don't do low BL runs.
How is she reused assets?
lol
It's not bait, refer to . You keep pressing R1 and she can't do anything. Living Failures is kind of cool because you can use the pillar to block their arcane attacks.
Shadows are great
Kys my man
Then they don't appreciate the true genius of the shadows.
Reminder that this was the original boss prior to Byrgenwerth.
>same voice actor and design as the doll
>yet another hunter boss
>weapon is literally the Chikage except without blood (adds blood anyway)
>third phase is Keeper of the Old Lords except shittier
>story based on unused ideas for Cainhurst and Gehrman
Literally all of her character is from other parts of the game, she brings absolutely nothing new.
>mace is a tonitrus
what the FUCK
Reminder the Byrgenwerth Hunter is for loving not killin'.
Are you talking about Yurie, my wife?
How much END does the player even have in that fight? Besides, she can hyperarmor through your attacks and has parry slashes.
>>same voice actor and design as the doll
It's part of the fucking lore dumbass.
>>yet another hunter boss
They are the best bosses in the game though?
>>third phase is Keeper of the Old Lords except shittier
Weak bait, nigger
>>weapon is literally the Chikage except without blood (adds blood anyway)
Imagine thinking this lmao.
It's actually more likely the Shadows were originally the boss for the forest and they tried adding the snakes later. The forest was originally going to use chalice dungeons enemies and might have been an entrance into the dungeons.
Byrgenwerth would have been accessed through the caves to the side of it.
wait a fucking minute... her cross slash that ignites is identical to the Sekiro Umbrella slash, particularly the Spirit Umbrella and Suzaka Umbrella
Thank god that didn't happen.
>It's part of the fucking lore
And?
>They are the best bosses in the game though?
Not really. There's plenty of great beast bosses.
>Weak bait
You don't even know what Keeper of the Old Lords is, do you?
>Imagine thinking
It's literally the description. Maria is from Cainhurst but she didn't like using blood because she's such a noble gal so she got a unique sword which made her an even bigger weeb.
Then she uses blood on her fight anyway.
>caves to the side of it
Is that what the unused concept art in the bottom right is?
>unused
It's still in the game. Remember the area between the forest and the clinic? Didn't you find it weird how it looked completely different from everything else, like it was a separate area?
That has got to be one of the ugliest box arts I've ever seen.
Yeah, it also has enemies that entirely unique to it. So that was originally going to how the player accessed Byrgenwerth?
is this harder than ds3?
Depends on your build. If you stick with the Saw Cleaver the whole game, it's the easiest.
>And?
It explains the existence of the Doll and gives some character to Gehrman.
>Not really. There's plenty of great beast bosses.
I firmly believe so. NPC battles like Gascoigne and Gehrman are absolutely brilliant and fun. It doesn't feel like I'm wresting a camera during these fights too.
>You don't even know what Keeper of the Old Lords is, do you?
I've fought the keeper before. She does not fight like maria.
>It's literally the description. Maria is from Cainhurst but she didn't like using blood because she's such a noble gal so she got a unique sword which made her an even bigger weeb.
You said Rakuyo and Chikage are the same thing. They're not, they have different movesets. Also the rest of what you just said there is just retarded. How is giving Maria cool moves a bad thing? The blood motif should be symbolic of something anyway, but I'm not that big of a lorefag.
It's possible. There's a unopenable trap door in Byrgenwerth. There was also going to be a Willem boss fight at some point. Most likely the Lecture Building was also part of Byrgenwerth or designed for it, since the area is incredibly small in the finished game.
Bloodborne went through huge changes through development. Check if you want to have look at it yourself.
>huge changes
It's normal and routine for games to shift their focus. Every game out there if datamined enough will reveal a slew of cut content.
>There was also going to be a Willem boss fight at some point.
Not gonna lie, that sounds kind of cringey. I really like the way they handled Willem in the final product.
>a Willem boss fight
Yea, I'm glad they changed that.
Are you really cheesing Micolash, the easiest fucking boss in all of Soulsborne?
>It explains the existence of the Doll
That didn't need to be explained.
>gives some character to Gehrman
It makes him pretty pathetic.
>It doesn't feel like I'm wresting a camera during these fights too.
Not every boss in the game that isn't a hunter is BLB and Paarl.
>She does not fight like maria.
Their final phases are literally just add fire.
>You said Rakuyo and Chikage are the same thing.
I didn't say that, the game did.
>How is giving Maria cool moves a bad thing?
How about giving her abilities that don't contradict the characterization they're trying to set up? Or how about giving her abilities of her OWN instead of putting Gehrman, Keeper and the Chikage on a Doll shaped package?
>literally anything at all is reddit
this meme is stupid. what is it like being so afraid of a website that you deny huge swaths of entertainment?
its newfags trying to fit in
I'm not seeing any similarities.
youtu.be
youtu.be
Parrying was a mistake.
Once you learn how to parry in any souls game, it'll be a crutch. Dodging is more fun.
Yeah, but I still think it's a huge oversight that most bosses in BB have no way to escape parry locking.
I've literally gone through the game without parrying, even with Logarius. It's just there to give you an extra dimension on how you approach bosses.
Obviously it's possible to go through the game without parrying, but I wish it was implanted in a way that didn't feel so cheap to use. It's so good to the point where I actively try not to parry because it feels cheap.
>hating on based maria
she was too good for you faggots
Kys
Maria is shit.
Ariana is the patrician's waifu, a true Cainhurst noble.
>waifuing a literal whore
a true pozzed whore perhaps
she's okay, I guess
sekiro is worse, but could end up being better if it ever gets a lot of DLC
too short and lacking in build variety for replayability at the moment
>Better design
>Better VA
>Better attire
>Gives you one of the best healing items in the game
Not the same user but it's clear that Bloodborne isn't finished by looking at Cainhurst. The game has a lot of cut content, we even found bosses and stuff. The game is still great on it's on but it's technically unfinished like every other Souls game
The only thing unfinished about it is the covenant and the maybe the lore. Even then, there's great explanations for it.
Every game ever made has tons of cut content. The content is cut for a reason, most of the time.
Yurie is cute too.
Of course. Bloodborne is the best souls game, but it's sad that interesting things like the moon prescence's worldly form was cut
>literal whore
It's worse than his form in the final game though. Just a floating mass of tentacles.
Ackshually, you can access it via Chalice Dungeons, but it doesn't behave like it should.
>all that VIT
>no END
As it should be. Leveling END is for retards.
There is no reason to take END past 20. Stamina management in BB is extremely generous.
What if I want 50 nonstop swings with the blades of mercy
>Bloodborne is the best souls game
If you're leveling VIT that high you might as well go whole hog
Eileen wouldn't have minded it.
>tfw people didnt understand the color purple.
What was purple again? It's been so long since I played PvP in bb.
Hunter of hunters, I would get pulled into worlds of people who killed other hunters in lieu of them getting a partner for the boss
Demon's Souls best level is Tower of Latria, and Bloodborne is Tower of Latria: the video game, thus Bloodborne is better.
How active is the online? I want to jump back into it again. What's the meta for consistent invasions and where?
Its pretty fuckin dead man
Every level of Demon's Souls is the best level while Bloodborne has no good levels till Byrgenwerth.
Damn it.
1-2, 2-2, 4-2, and 5-2 are all awful
Sudoku yourself you tasteless swine.
Fuck off I love Demon's but it has plenty of shitty areas
Byrgenwerth is the most disappointing level in the game. You hear it hyped up throughout the entire game and it's literally one room.
Central Yharnam is literally the best Souls level
This, although CotD is a close second.
Eat shit you subhuman. You aren't a DeSufag so stop lying.
It was the first one I played you absolute faggot you probably don't even know what the levels I mentioned are
That, or Research Hall.
This game pisses me off so much, it's like everything happens with a second of delay.
>not even able to recognize the superiority of the Boletarian Palace in all its stages and levels
I do, you absolute troglodyte. Now begone before I vanquish you with my stick white sword. Enjoy your molasses slow 20 FPS trash.
You just proved him right, yikes.
Okay I'm out, just today I read "Sony games are the most influential in the whole industry" and now this, it's probably the same guy, but this level of fanboyism and retardation is even new to Yea Forums.
Hell no
Name a more annoying enemy.
1-2 is literally just a straight line you stupid fuck stop pretending the game is without flaw
Not him, but you do know that the performance for DeS is pretty poor on the PS3, right?
>implying linearity is a bad thing
Get some taste, mongoloid.
The worms that come out of the silverbeasts
