I have played dark souls 1 and bloodborne but I find dark souls 3 weirdly hard.the enemies are as fast as bloodborne's meanwhile you are still slow as shit like in dark souls 1.
Is it just me or dark souls 3 is harder than other soulsborne games?
>dude just be aggressive
I liked the pacing in dark souls 1 much better.it was slow and calculated approach to combat.
Yes and no.
The game is way more consistent in it's content in then the other games, there really isn't a stand out bullshit boss. But the game is designed around Bloodborn's speed for the mobs but the player is barely any faster then in DS1. You either have to spam rolls like crazy or hide behind a shield. Dosn't help that poise iis funky in the game, it works and can be quite useful but likely not as you'd expect up front.
Its a weird mishmashed game.
use a shield or time your dodges
master parrying
find a weapon that suits you
try luring or baiting enemies using throwing knives if you're still struggling
don't forget to read, write and rate messages since it helps out other players
is shied necessary? I am playing without it and I can't find a good strength in early game.
it's not mandatory but it at least gives another option for defense aside from rolling or ripostes
if you have a weapon that's heavy enough and use charged attacks you can knock some enemies on their ass but it's difficult to do on groups since DS3 made it harder to tank hits
It's just you.
They're all about the same level of difficulty, give or take.
The only really different game is Sekiro.
I found 3 to be the easiest, even easier than 2's life gem shit. There are bonfires EVERYWHERE so death doesn't mean shit and estus flasks heal WAY too much for how fast they work (should have been like bloodborne with a static amount, about 1/3 of total health)
3 isn't even close to being as hard as 1.
1 has the worst movement so you often fall out of ledges and shit more often than enemies can kill you.
You also can roll like 3 times before your stamina runs out, not to mention 1 being much harder to navigate.
3 is imposing and scary because everything is big and over the top, but it's not even close to being harder than 1.
Also use Vordt's Hammer, it makes the game piss easy.
>meanwhile you are still slow as shit like in dark souls 1.
No? Dumbass
It's just you being retarded.
DS3 is piss easy because most vanilla bosses are either gimmicky or just easy, you can run past most enemies, you can abuse bleed and you have infinite rolls and instant estus.
I though 1 was much easier.I guess it varies on playstyle.
your speed is faster than das1 but slower than bloodborne
most bosses move like bloodborne except for a couple, I think the most bullshit one is the pontiff that has swings that are way too fast to see them coming the first time you fight him, it's literal trial and error against that nigger
gwyndolin is literally RNG, if he decides to spam arrows you are fucking done, if he goes full retard and forgets to spew his little cuck magic it's easy
Its only hard until you realize most enemies have no poise and how easy it is to roll spam.
No, my first playthrough I had a pretty easy time even with my self imposed restriction of no shield or pants
I have done around 3 areas but I am still at around 3 estus flasks.
It's harder than the rest of the games because they nulled a good part of the cheese.
Armor is neutered, you actually have to earn your poise now, spells aren't the shitshow they were in the previous games and on top of it enemies are a lot faster, more aggressive and with a lot of attacks and the enemy setpieces are downright unfair at times, see the outrider knights or the Corvian knights.
Still, the game breaks down to whatever other cheesing it's still there, whether you simply play ranged or just plain up overlevel, let alone using the real broken shit like Dhorys' Gnawing, the shillblades or Vordt's ice stick.
It has the hardest bosses, and there are tons of enemies that are fucking tanks with infinite poise and loads of health, but after playing the other 4 games it's a cakewalk overall
the Ringed city dlc is the hardest in every category.
Because you’re not using the straight sword. Using literally anything other than a straight sword is handicapping yourself. It’s fast and stun locks the enemies.
what the fuck dude just explore and give the shards to the blacksmith and switch the mana pots for health pots
just use pyromancy and that one bleed miracle you get in irithyll
shields are for figuring out enemy movesets and hitboxes, spacing is essential for strength-based weapons
Its a problem with speed.
>enemies have 4+ hit attacks or more gap closers
>yet you dont have BB levels of speed to avoid that, you just roll alot
>light and medium roll feel the same unlike DS1
>shields are very, very gimped. Stability is nerfed all across the board, few shields outside greatshields got 100% defense
Shields are for pussies, if you've played 1, 2, BB and you still can't roll through everything in DaS 3 after a few practice runs then you've done something wrong.
It's harder unless you equip a straight sword.
>Few shields outside greatshields got 100% defense
What are you on about? There are plenty of 100% physical defense medium shields in ds3.
But they got shit stability so when any enemie does two or more attacks your guard goes to shit
I remember trying to play as a tank and having a really bad time.
Going to reinstall and see what the straight sword business is all about. I feel like doing another playthrough.
