i bought it new in 2016. its fans have always been quite loud. they spin up and down based on what i'm doing as expected, but many people on newegg reviews claim theirs are really quiet while mine's the single biggest noise creator in my build. the loud fans was quite irritating at first but i've mostly gotten used to it. i just play music all the time as i normally do.
i've had a buttcoin miner on my system before and it was extremely obvious. all opened applications used some CPU time, and firefox would lag and crash. one quick scan of malwarebytes wiped it out and it went back to normal.
this is a different issue, i either lost the silicon lottery or i've got something configured wrong.

Any anons know if a Qosmio X775-Q7170 has a removable card? They advertised it as such on NewEgg 7 years ago, and my card either died or got unplugged.
