some user told me to treat Kiwami like a DLC for Y0. it's true. it takes 1/2 the time of Y0 to 100% and the story is much shorter. it's still good and you should play it, just don't expect it to be another Y0. It's more like an epilogue than a full game relative to Y0.

in the original game majima only has like 3 scenes and he just acts eccentric , they are where you meet him, the baseball place, and the whore house. all the wacky shit was added in kawami because they wanna make him a meme

yeah that's what i did, i didn't even do all the side stories the first time through Kiwami. I did almost all the stuff in Premium Adventure, in fact a few acheivements are specific to Premium Adventure so if you want to run through the story, which has good pacing, you should, it's actually more pace friendly in a lot of ways than 0 was, where some chapters in 0 really forced you to focus on the story.

Street encounters would have been fine if they only spawned if you had a use for them. Once you reach SSS, it should have only been encounters you need for a specific power up.

My biggest gripe with Kiwami is actually the shitty soundtrack. Thy should have just said fuck it and give Kiryu his Zero stance songs for garbage fights.

It's fascinating since in the original Majima is basically this psycho who just wants to fight Kiryu and is depicted as being crazy. Then you have all his scenes added in Kiwami where he's just wacky. But I guess they had no idea he'd turn out popular, or that Yakuza would take off as a series.

The low FPS isn't the only problem, the random hanging is a big one too. The recent commits have helped a lot to stabilize it but it still isn't great.

Kiwami 1 --> 0 --> 2 is the best and only way to play it.

3/4/5 remasters in the West fucking when. I just started playing 0/Y1/Y2 in December and actually went through Dead Souls just to get another hit. I need more.

i ended up liking yakuza 6 alot once i finally unlocked everything needed to make the game fun, the story wasn't too bad, but maybe thats just because i played the game after my mother died so it was hitting home for me abit more than normal.

Majima is the best character in the whole series and the reason that 0 is so good is he's basically the main character (Kiryu's story felt shallow and pointless in comparison).
