Shit that is impressive, sure you can't get those on Vita but what makes it special is Switch was never meant to run them. Wonder how long till we maybe see PS2 or full Gamecube support
you can get a 100 usd mini pc that runs psp, dreamcast, and gamecube at full speed. (nivida micro development kit)
Portability in the sense that you can take it with you is not the same as portable in the sense that you can play it while you take it with you.
About as likely as ps2 and gamecube support on the PS3 or the PS4 has been in the last however many years. PS2 emulation is fucked even on PC since the console was made by much smarter people than exist in most game companies today. It had very ridiculous architecture with clever min/max
>Finally, a way to play PSP games on the go!
what about a psp?
>Finally
The PSP exist, m8. As does the Vita. And smartphones.
Is switch becoming the ultimate emulation machine? Those early paper clip models will sell for hundreds on ebay
Can I emulate mobile games on my Switch soon?
But you can already play PSP games on the go on a PSP because the PSP is a portable console, it's even in the name: Playstation PORTABLE (PSP).
It still isn't emulating anything you can't get working on a smartphone or the vita.
Isn't the switch has a working linux inside? mate just virtual machine that shit and play fuckin crysis 3 from steam
>Emulating portable games from another portable console
But why?
>You can emulate Bomberman and the 2 Sonic games
MY CHILDHOOD, I'M COMING
I love the PSP. To a stupid degree. I couldn't imagine playing the games anywhere else. Just get a PSP. Its peak 00 industrial design aesthetics and has the coolest physical format ever in the UMD (eventhough no one uses this).
Just got my 3rd one. Champaign Gold 1000 model.
you just don't know what sarcasm is, don't you..
I totally get you. I have 2 PSPs, my 2000 model I bought in 2008 which has been my trusty companion and I've spent a thousand hours with.... And pic related, which i bought in japan, that model is the best, the battery lasts for 15 hours, no joke
>and has the coolest physical format ever in the UMD
>Had Midnight Club 3 on the PSP when I was younger
>never had a problem with the loading times
>Still damn near finished the game
I was a damn patient kid.
Or maybe nobody found your sarcasm funny.
id love to get that MonHun PSP but how does the matte finish live up to in a few years? will it chip out? Or should i just get a regular 3000 and dbrand it?
Correct me if I'm wrong but if you go out and buy a Switch right now you're fucked because of newer firmware?
Is Castle Vidcons still going?
Not really
Well, at least Gone with the Blastwave gets updates whopping 3 times a year.
technically yes and no. Older models can get hacked easily while newer ones are harder
kinda off-topic but im planning to sell my Switch, dont need it, joycon is fucked.
But i see the prices on used ones on Ebay going low. Is there chance it may peak again by late october this year?
I actually don't want my Switch. I never took it out of the box. I think it's on 3.0.2.
How much can I get on eBay for a hackable Switch?
>joycon is fucked
why would you ask a good price for that shit?
Last i knew new models were unhackeable due to patched payloads or something like that
problem with this shit is always resolution of the screen and battery life.
a PSP is fucking cheap and easy to find. and wiser to get than a vita. just get one.
Console is an older model, hack ready. Just going to ask less than normal used price, user.
Finally, i can play ridge racer 2 on a handheld again
Anyone know if they got sound working yet
Is that a 3000 model? It would have made sense to get a 3000 since I dont have one but I love the Gold color and it has that clacky eject button (so good).
Ridge Racer 2 on PSP is the peak of the series. All of the tracks from 1-5 and all of the best music. The drift boost is there but it's not it's own autistic metagame that it eventually grew into.
No. A PC will always best it out
Why would I use a Shitch though? Feels fucking horrible and cheap, its buttons aren't even good for emulation, only good for carpal tunnel.
Switch has Buttons, triggers and a big screen
So, how do you run PPSSPP on Switch?
It's still perfect, my model was released I guess in 2012 and in 2019 it hasn't peeled off or got scratched in any way.
Buy it from Japan, user. You won't regret it at all, the extended battery alone makes this the best model of all
Yes, it's a 3000 model. Then again, the extended battery alone makes it the best model ever.
Why does this matter when you've been able to easily do this on your phone for years?
FUCK no.
Doesn't even have a fucking D-pad, and the buttons all feel so shit, not to mention the analog sticks may break within a couple of months.
It may become an ok emulation platform after its 4th revision, but definitely not now. And by that time why not just use a phone?
