i wanted to tell him he got scammed hard but fuck boomers are fucking stupid.
Correct.
Let's laugh at cucks who buy prebuilt
I bought a laptop for $600 and it's got specs that are only a little worse than in the OP. Am I a cuk?
>laptop
Yes.
I have to have a laptop. I've got shit internet at home because I live in the middle of buttfuck nowhere, so I have to bring it somewhere else to download games.
Plus my work and school entails needing to write shit up on the go, so I'd rather kill two birds with one stone and do it all on one laptop.
Not having a laptop and a desktop both custom built.
>wasting that much money
>not being able to play games round your friends house
So why not just buy a laptop then?
FIVE HUNDRED AND NINETY NINE YOU ESSS DOLLARS
I have vr. It's a cool persons thang you wouldn't understand
Getting a laptop is alright if you actually have a reason to do so.
On the most extreme side, gaming laptops are way more expensive than they deserve and need to be, but if you move around or are on business so much that you can't actually sit at a desktop space to play vidya much, then it might as well be a viable option if you can afford it.
So you're fine, assuming you have a legit reason for actually buying that laptop.
Also, I would suggest buying a jerk stopper for your power cable. Just a little tip.
Power cord jacks tend to give out pretty easily and are a absolute bitch to replace most of the time. That's one good thing apple laptops actually have going for it- the magnetic cables.
People who buy prebuilt desktops have literally no reason to do so though beyond just pure lazyness. Even first time PC builders can put their own PC together with very little research and maybe half an hour of effort, so there's no real reason to go prebuilt beyond just throwing money away.
Yeah, I have a laptop because of . It's specs are alright, it's more than capable of running the games I want at Ultra settings. I just don't have the money to build a PC and buy a laptop on top of that.
This laptop is $1200, but I was able to dig my way into a deal and got it from Best Buy for $600, which I consider a bargain.
Could you tell me a bit more about jerk stoppers? I'm a brainlet and all I'm getting is camera shit when I search it up.
Search "Laptop cable jerk stopper" on google and you'll find some stuff.
Pretty much you just want to find a way to keep movement of the power cable while it in the laptop to a minimum. However you do that should work.
I've had 5 laptops throughout my life, and 3 of them have had a ruined power port within the first couple years because I used them a lot while plugged in.
The little movements the cable makes can wear on the port over time and cause it to become unstable or in the worst case, break away. If you ever have a issue where a electronic won't charge unless you hold the cord in a specific way, a unstable power port, or a bad power cord, is usually the cause. One obviously more expensive to fix than the other.
I have to say i've never had a problem with a power port.
You must be really rough with your laptops.
I've had a horrible habit of moving around a lot with the power cord in.
Every laptop owner I've personally known who has had a laptop for more than a few years and use it very frequently has had this issue, so I feel a need to warn every laptop owner about it when I can.
Whatever works for you at the end of the day though, really.
