Dark Souls 1 sucks. It plays like complete dogshit, it's easy, and is completely broken.

BB > DaS > DaS3 > Sekiro >>> DeS >>>>>>> DaS 2

I don't think it flat out sucks but i always found it extremely thematically wonky, not very coherent, and back in the day when people said it was better than DeS i was very puzzled.
To me, it was a clear step back from DeS.

Nah I think BB is the most overrated but I still want to go back and play through it a third time if they ever make a PS4 pro patch.

Especially back to back with DaS.
It's snappy as fuck, very responsive, and you move fast as hell.
Better weapons, too.
It's more basic than DaS but it actually works in it's advantage, it feels way more focused and polished.

I just can't respect anyone that places DaS1 that high.
It reeks of either "DaS1 was my first game in the series" or just some kind of brainlet that has no taste in general.

DeS is my first one and I have tons of nostalgia towards it so I kinda have to place it lower than I normally would to be a bit more realistic about it's actual quality.
Also I feel that DaS has the best world design out of all of them and I fucking love that aspect of these games so I naturally like it the most. It's not a perfect game but none of these games are due to them obviously being made with small budgets.

BB was the only Souls game ive played. It was pretty good, i guess it was worth the $60. It was suitably spoopy. Maybe a bit grindy at times but not more than im used to from other rpgs. The health mechanic was kinda fun, made it force aggression

I dunno, maybe i'll pick up DS on sale on Steam, or Sekiro. Ive heard good things but know nothing about it

I finished Sekiro once and was done with it, so I'd honestly rank it somewhere near the bottom. Everything it tries to do has just been done better before, except character responsiveness

BB is my favourite game to play through, I can just bask in the atmosphere of that game

DaS2/3 are my favourite online titles
