>he resets when a unit dies
He resets when a unit dies
lol don't care, I am not going to lose my best unit to a crit
That's not a cheat though
I have always done this, and I had did this ever since I was 11 playing through FE 7 for the first time. I even went as far as to cry when my brother killed Bord, Cord, and Gordin on the second map of shadow dragon.
>Not suiciding Ike into their strongest guy so you have to restart anyway.
God, can't you social experiment dropouts shove your idiotic terminator quotes into your ass and piss off?
Shitty glow in the dark niggers.
Resetting and then practicing the fight would actually be learning it though.
>resetting
>bad
Imean, it's not iron man, but you still have to clear the entire chapter without losing anyone. You're only a shitter if you savescum.
But if I beat it and didn't lose the unit, I learned and improved.
If I didn't improve, I would have been stuck forever.
>Shitty glow in the dark niggers.
He says, as he uses an ancient stupid fucking meme that never made sense and is just a collection of le funny words
>shortcut
>have to redo a 40 minute chapter
>reset
>know enemy reinforcement positions
>and turn
>know to be extra cautious where your unit died
Lol. No.
You cheated not only the game, but yourself.
You didn't grow
Yo didn't improve
You took a shortcut and gained nothing.
You experienced a hollow victory.
Nothing was risked and nothing was gained.
It's sad that you don't even know the difference.
I realized this way later in my FE career, so I decided to play through echoes blind hard mode classic style, the first FE game I ever played where I didn't reset and just took what I got. I made it to the segment where you control both protagonists, but that was as far as I got, because Alm's crew ended up getting dumped on by Berut and the traitor guy due to my carelessness.
We had this thread earlier
you can literally reset turns in that game
I don't care how someone else plays the game though. They can cheat, practice, or use a fucking game genie for all I care.
A man of fellow taste I see
You're clearly trying to make the comparison to sekiro so let me just point this out:
When you die in sekiro/souls, you go back to the fight with greater knowledge of what's going to happen as well. Things that may have caught you off guard before might not do so anymore since you've learned, e.g. second boss phases (reinforcements).
So your comparison falls flat, the only difference is that deciding to reset if you lose a unit is setting a more harsh game-over condition. Almost ad if you were deciding that you would reset a boss fight in sekiro the moment you get hit rather than just accepting some loss of HP.
>do chapter
>actually fail the chapter
>complete it on the second try
>"Hurrr you didn't improve"
Are you that fucking dense? This argument doesn't work with games that don't keep going after you fail.
If I can be honest with you, I think that whole mechanic of in game resets in echoes is detrimental to the franchise. I do not approve of it one bit, and I hope that it is removed from future games in the series, ala 3 houses and so on and so forth. Kinda hoping that the lack of sales of echoes give int and nintendo the notion to stop.
It's a meme because a schizo used it in one of his insane ramblings. It's not something Yea Forums just made up.
So uh... when's anyone going to animate me getting hit on the first turn? I'd do it myself but I'm a lazybones.
>replying to obvious bait
Look, I am one of the resetters as well. But he is right, if you complete a chapter at the cost of a unit, this will in turn drive you to become more aware of your surroundings and the possibility of reinforcements. However, I do draw the line with that one fire emblem game where reinforcements spawn at the end of your turn, and then can act immediately the following enemy turn. I believe it was shadow dragon, but from what I am aware, every other game outside of shadow dragon does not do this. And yes, crits do suck and are sometimes completely unfair, but like fire emblem is trying to portray to players who play the correct way, war itself isn't fair. Sometimes you get a bad hand, but you got to play with the cards you have been dealt. shadow dragon tried to rectify this with the gaiden chapters, where you get more units for sucking at the game. I think if other fire emblem games did this, it would allow the playerbase to grow, knowing that if they don't reset to save Ogma, they can always get some other Mercenary down the line. Modern fire emblem games do this with secondary seals, but I feel like a whole new character is more personal and a better way to approach loss.

Awakening Lunatic does it too I think.
The map literally tells you to ESCAPE. Anyone still turtling in the starting area deserves to get their shit kicked in by BK and Jill when she comes.
Accepting nothing short of a perfect victory is more challenging and eventually fulfilling than accepting losses.
>have OP waifu unit
>she dies due to stupidity
>"Uuu.. n-nothing short of p-perfecct vicotry is more challenging! I certain'y aren't shit at spreading eXP!"
OP units can't die, it's like Pokemon in that regard.
It's the correct way to play though
Doing perfect runs is harder than using shit units as meatshields in bullshit missions
That's why I also reset in the final map
It's only acceptable to reset if your cutest/coolest unit dies, if it's some random who they can stay dead, especially if there is no endgame in the entry
>he thinks resetting makes the game easier
Clearing a chapter with no deaths is harder than clearing it with them user. You grow and improve more by treating every death as a game over, since it by definition makes the game more difficult than not doing so. As long as reset means starting the entire map over it's just like any other self imposed challenge, abusing mid chapter saves is just save scumming though.
>he replays the first level for extra lives
It's not a reset if the commander dies
This situation only happens if the game was badly balanced enough that soloing with random op unit becomes anything other than a dumb challenge run. In basically every game but Robin Emblem, you need to actually use more than just one broken unit on the higher difficulties.
What's the best game for an absolute retard to learn the mechanics? I cheesed my way through Awakening and really wish the game forced me to actually think about my actions more.
Noone dies on my watch.
>retrying something until you get it right is the same as cheating
so is this a pretending to be retarded thread
FE7 or PoR
"If you have some sort of Special Power, isn't it your responsibility to do the right thing ?"
>t. doesn't know the difference between cheating and an exploit.
Conquest is probably the easiest to legally acquire if you play on classic mode. Otherwise the Tellius games are great.
FE7 aka Fire Emblem aka Jaffar and Ninos game
If the game didn't expect you to reload then it would autosave after every turn.
Play Awakening again but now on Lunatic+ and you should be good to go
Nice editing.
Obvious bait, but you still tried
Itt: >How to tell who hasn't beaten conquest on lunatic
I thought BK didn't move on normal anyway. He just stands in the doorway and lets you run
Why not just have a "No man left behind" mode that counts any death as a fail state? They must already know people reset when units die. I feel like this is a good compromise that doesn't lose the spirit of the series like casual mode.
If you don't reset after deaths first playthrough and then ironman the game every playthrough after you're a faggot.
Doing a entire mission over until you get good enough that everyone survives is improving. You could make the op's argument in a game where you can freely abuse saves to do metagame shit though.
I could barely beat it on hard casual how is a shitter like me supposed to beat it on fucking lunatic?
>tfw you do a really long map first try with no deaths
>Fire Emblem
Hello smash faggot. Still mad your irrelevant series doesn't get that FE REPRESENTATION
All FEs up to FE6 and then Shadow Dragon/New Mystery (on Hard or above) and Awakening had same turn reinforcements.
Is it really hollow if you and your friends are alive though, Ike? Is it really hollow if Ike & his friends are alive, creator of image?
smash niggers will never stop seething, will they?
HEROES
We will have another one tomorrow because of autism bait thread
They really hate fe thread
