Hopes/Fears/Expectations?

Attached: 072d63f9bf7a4c828b63a639b017f8f6.jpg (1280x720, 184K)

Only fear is that it got delayed to 2020

...

Dating and handholding

Nintendos current trend of trying to innovate all of their games to more than just sequels means they remove the best parts of previous games and add in new mechanics that dont improve the game but make it more tedious

Is that hope fear or expectation

Seems likely at this point

dreams and hopes user... dreams and hopes

Animal Crossing GO, Genre shift, late 2020 release

It looks tasty enough.

I WANT TO MARRY THE ANIMALS
:3

I'll post this again: I want the new game to be a lot like the first.
>Acres
>Deeper dialogue; rude villagers
>Ask for work instead of having them asking you to do shit for them
>Larger repercussions for your actions
>Focus on the smaller details. Have a lot of small events like the Morning Aerobics, acre treasure hunt, turning on the lighthouse, washing Gracie's car, etc.
>...And bring back smaller mechanics like the calendar, diary, the dump, changing the inventory backgrounds, etc.
>NES games too I guess
...Maybe I should just replay the original instead of buying the new game.

>Seems likely at this point
You kids and your needing constant updates. I can garauntee it will be the focus of their e3 presentation. Chill out.

Sorry user, this franchise is for furries, children, and Jap housewives now. Enjoy your portable sims!

But seriously, how is it that a n64 (original JP version) game from 2001 has better fucking graphic art direction than a game made in 2013?

I don’t want bug catching to be the only way to make actual money again. I ended up doing that more than anything else in new leaf

>But seriously, how is it that a n64 (original JP version) game from 2001 has better fucking graphic art direction than a game made in 2013?
Games in general had better art back them, almost all in fact.

>he doesn't circle the island with both a fishing rod and bug net
I return with a ton of sharks AND beetles faster that way.

[Insert AIDS joke here]

Any hopes of this one having actual gameplay in it or is that just not happening?

Attached: OK.jpg (375x500, 93K)

If by "gameplay" you mean micromanaging every cosmetic aspect of the game like it's fucking Style Savvy, then sure. Don't bet on town activities improving though.

no reddit dog in this game

I played the 3ds AC for 40 minutes and didn't "get" it.
What the fuck do you do in it?
If it's trying to be a sim/town builder it's not doing a good job at it.

Over 215 days since a single teaser

It‘s getting delayed

We know Nothing and its supposed to drop soon

How can you guarantee that? Hm

2020 is packed enough already and the radio silence isnt convincing

Holy hell, why do you guys hate New Leaf so much? That was my favorite in the franchise.

It was mine too, we just want a new game after spending hundreds of hours in New Leaf and it being a (hybrid) home console release

If only something like E3 was coming where they could do a big revieal...

Its gonna be a year since a single picture then.

They could drop a trailer and still show it on e3

E3 has Mario already, may have Pokemon and Luigi, FE, Astral chain etc

its packed

>>>>>>>>>>public projects

I love it, but people rightfully expect more out of the Switch. I want to be wowed, I don't want more enchanced ports or Pokemon Sword/Shield type baby steps.

>Hopes
A lot.
>Fears
My hopes won't come true and my fears will.
>Expectations
Most of my hopes come true but maybe one or two fears are realized as well.

I don't think many people hate it. We just want more out of the Switch AC.

Villagers
>more personality types, I want grumpy villagers to go back to being assholes
>quirks that act like 'sub-personality types' so that two villagers with the both type will still have some small differences
>more complex personalities and 'settings': a tsundere that acts like a jerk but slowly opens up, a chuuni whose character breaks every now and then, a shy one that follows you around hiding, someone who changes personality during the night, etc
>a LOT more dialog lines
>being able to choose where new villagers will build their houses
>best friends that will never leave your town
>room mates, both in your house and between villagers
>villagers related to each other (brothers, cousins, childhood friends etc)
>more interaction with them, like being able to invite them to fish, catch bugs, shop, play soccer etc
>villagers can do the same things you can, so you can see them actually catch bugs and fish, dig holes, plant trees, eat fruit etc
>villagers can expand their own homes, buy clothes and furniture from the shops

Village
>houses for Nook, Able Sisters etc
>more varied zones like mountains, marshes, jungles, etc
>caves: like fossils, are generated at random places every day
>inside them you can find fossils, minerals, different types of bugs and fish, maybe a bat NPC
>more and more interactive PWPs, like being able to build soccer fields or something that add new things to do

Activities
>bring back NES games, they could put those short VC demos or let you play your own VC games
>more minigames like the ones on holidays
>jobs: just like when you had to work for Nook or when you work at the coffee shop, you could work for the Able Sisters to design clothes on commission, or at the Postal Office and deliver mail to the villagers
>an online hub where you can meet with other players, like a mall or something, kind of like the island from NL

Attached: screenshot-7[1].jpg (400x240, 78K)

I don't hate it i just want more

Is this an actual Direct that's happening or am I retarded.
Or both.

Mario Maker 2? It's out in June, four months after it's very first announcement. Animal Crossing getting a full reveal in June gives it six months to launch in December which is when I expected. Other than that there's nothing else they're developing in-house, possibly Luigi's Mansion 3 but I doubt it.

>still seething over Breath of the Wild

>Hopes
-Large map with life sized buildings and graphics like in MK

>Fears
-pocket camp / new leaf in 1080p
-You will only get the same base villagers and the rest of the villagers you will have to unlock with special in-game currency or card amiibos same goes with furniture

>Expectations

>Hopes
A brand new Animal Crossing with tons of new things to do, unique villager dialogue, less restrictive customization.
>Fears
Recycled assets from Pocket Camp, soulless NPCs with minimal variety when it comes to interaction.
>Expectations
Recycled assets from Pocket Camp, features exclusive to the shitty Nintendo app, projects still locked to grids, bringing back the cards, Isabelle hogging the spotlight, a delay.

Boy are you in for a surprise

Pretty sure that isabelle will be a thing considering that she is the most popular character in the series

Isabelles daughter will replace her

>Her father is the mayor from New Leaf

well it can't be worse than new leaf.
Wild World is still the apex of AC, like it or not.

>hope

disappointingly average and very safe

You should know how this goes by now user.

I'd be okay with character customization at the start like HHD had instead of questions deciding your characters looks. I also want yard designing like HHD had.

I fear nothing more then this

>Wild World is still the apex of AC, like it or not.
This is already the popular opinon. The simplistic charm can't be topped on better hardware and the complication of what to add that comes with sequels make newer games inferior.

I'd rather it got delayed they released half baked because they wanted to rush it out for Christmas. I want it to be released when it's finished.

>you now have option to change your neighbors habits
>all the female neighbors eat cake for breakfast lunch and dinner and walk around with bags of snacks and balloon
>all the males workout 24/7 and get fuckhuge and testosterone-laden
i want this now

>found my mom's old copy of wild world for DS
Should I play it, Yea Forums? I loved the original on GC but I was 11 years old.

I can dream Harold

New Leaf was great. Only real problem for me was the lack of good dialogue from the villagers. Wild World was perfect in that regard, I want that back for the Switch

I really hope the game is enjoyable to play for long periods of time, I remember back in the summer when ACNL came out and I would rack up at least 7 hours a day, just going around, having fun and enjoying my time with /acg/, my girlfriend at the time and those random taps on the island. I really don't care much about specific features but I hope I can make some new memories on it.

also maybe a new museum collection or something, I would even love a flower exhibit where it gives more of a purpose to making hybrids, maybe lief and blathers could make it a pwp, idk just an idea

They had over 5 years

Please no rolling pin world this time. Please.

There isn't a dedicated Animal Crossing team just working on the same thing none stop.

I don't know, We havn't gotten anything out of Mario Maker 2 and thats apparently coming out in a little more than two months.

>hopes
A huge map that goes beyond the village, with interesting locations to explore and catch unique bugs and fish. I want mountains, caves, an urban section of the town with 1 or 2 apartments, fields of flowers, land that can be developed into a sports park, bays, multiple islands that you get to sail in your very own boat, better yet just make the entire map a large island.
>fears
Crafting elements, dumbed down dialogue, emphasis on amibos or other micro transaction bullshit
>expectations
See fears

I want bikes you can do tricks with.

this make the villagers actually help
and then they have the nerve to show up at the opening and act like they did anything

u know i can't read fag

just download an emulator retard
literal waste of development time

unless they do things with them and make there own little bit games and have special rewards from them that u can only get from it
then its kewl but if its just actual existing games
naw fag no need
