I only played the demo and listened to music, and honestly the only thing that seems worse or different is music, it's just the same theme throughout the whole game with minor differences and it sounds like the fart ost from new island.
Am i wrong? The gameplay with paths and free aim seems very fun.
How much is this worse than Woolly World?

Woolly World had some challenging parts to it and great music.
Crafted World has neither.
I remember only bonus levels in woolly world being challenging, really. Does crafted world has any of that? Is it harder than kirby allies, at least?
-no charm
-terrible overall art direction compared to woolly
-terrible ost
-terrible everything
ALL THE SWITCH NEEDED WAS A PORT OF WOOLLY.
THAT'S IT
IT WASN'T THE BEST GAME EVERY BUT IT WAS AT LEAST DECENT
INSTEAD WE GET THIS SHIT
NINTENDOOOOOOOOOOO
I found Woolly World to be really dull. Honestly think Nintendo should stop doing Yoshi and Kirby games, they've had some great games in the past but for years they've just been so meh.
It bombed in Japan. Be smart like the japs. Don't buy into this kiddy shit. Good-Feel went full retard for this one. Zero challenge, awful OST compared to Woolly, you automatically make eggs when eating enemies, you get no increased flutter height when timing the A button off of enemies anymore. Everything has been dumbed down for a flaccid experience. If you go pick up an I Spy Book you will get the same experience as Crafted World, because that's all you're gonna be doing.
Of course, you can give in to your inner soiboi and waste the 60 dollars on a colorful paperweight. Your choice really.
Have they learned nothing from New Island?
Can nintendo even make good games anymore?
Yikes! Stay mad seething baby.
Art direction is good in this game though,
I unironically think that music and overall comfiness added to woolly world, i have the 3ds version with poochy.
>Kirby
I would agree about yoshi, but def not kirby.
What should have they learned about?
That dev only made woolly world and epic yarn besides crafted world, afaik
>Can nintendo even make good games anymore?
Nintendo didn't make YCW but it still got good reviews.
The last two in-house Nintendo flagship games are two of the most acclaimed video games i history.

When the game was first revealed, I thought that flip-the-world thing could have been interesting mechanic. maybe offer up some cool puzzle-solving and devilishly hidden collectibles. Its too bad they had to get rid of it in favor of "Hunt da Pupz!" and just made another generic yoshi game.
>Its too bad they had to get rid of it in favor of "Hunt da Pupz!"
Are you sure? I've search for that, and it doesn't seem to be a thing.
YCW is about as comfy and as chill as games can get. I had a great time playing co-op with my gf. Not hard to finish but the challenge is getting all the collecables. Looks great, plays greats, utterly charming and a ton of fun.
>you get no increased flutter height when timing the A button off of enemies anymore
Yeah, this angered me the most when I played the demo.
Man this really sucks, I've liked the things Good-Feel have done up to this but right away I could tell this game would be a step back. The music being so bad and unvaried is really baffling for a dev who was constantly having unique songs for each stage.
What are you talking about.
Honestly if you really think about it if they did keep the flip mechanic you'd just be flipping the level every new screen just to reassure your ADD that you aren't missing any collectibles and that you can finish/100% the level in one go without returning to it again. You'd be more worried about that than completing the level itself
You know, I think this is a nice relaxing game. I play it after work when I feel too bummed out to go for something more difficult or complex. It's rather short and then after the credits it becomes a collectathon with some extra levels with more difficulty to unlock. But revisiting the stages makes you appreciate the overall art design which really grew on me. I enjoy looking at the game in motion and the controls, collecting stuff, looking for secrets in the backgrounds just feels right.
Still, I prefer Wooly World because it had a much better, diverse OST. Really, the Crafted World OST isn't completely bad, it's just pretty repetitive since there are only like a couple of tracks and all are remixes of the main theme. So it gets annoying quickly. Meanwhile, Wooly World had one of the best OSTs in recent Nintendo history (no kidding). Not the ideal way, but mute Crafted World and listen to other OSTs instead if it bothers you.
My current Yoshi-list is something like this...
SMW2 Yoshi's Island > Wooly World >> Crafted World > Yoshi's Story >>>>>>>>>> other GBA/DS/3DS Yoshi games.
I would reccomend this game to fans of the series and people who like relaxing games to play for half an hour after a long day of work. So if you're unemployed, this might not fill your void. If you're looking for more challenge in your platform game, you might wanna check out Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Shantae, Sonic Mania or Celeste instead.
... really though, I tend to go for those kind of "play it for a bit and relax" games these days. Another game I can play after work are the Yakuza games which offer enough light fun to just hang around and get some progress done. But off topic.
>Of course, you can give in to your inner soiboi and waste the 60 dollars on a colorful paperweight.
Why do even have a switch? Or own nintendo shit? Most of the stuff is for basedboys and looks like kid's toys
>I would agree about yoshi, but def not kirby.
Kirby and Yoshi are just such non-releases at this point. I'd be all for ambitious 3D games, but these sidescrollers with a new gimmick are selling any systems and are doing modestly at best with the existing install base.
I've already told you this, but you're a fucking retard for asking for ports over new games, also Crafted World oozes with charm and wonderful art direction.
Well you see, In every yoshi game except this one, if you bounced off an enemy you'd get a little bit of increased height when you fluttered.
Kirby Star Allies is currently the third best-selling Kirby game ever behind the original Dreamland and Super Star Ultra.
World does flip though ,what are you talking about?
Playing crafted world makes me feel like a massive mindchild.
Also, I can't speak for everyone, but as someone with major depressive disorder, the somber feeling music in this game is enough to give me bad thoughts and make me feel sad. It's still kinda fun though, but definitely not worth $60. Rent, do not buy.
You do in this one as well.
Kirby sales are pretty tepid though. Can't think of an evergreen Nintendo franchise that does worse.
He's talking about when the trailer for the flip mechanic was first showed. You could ground pound to flip the level to the reverse side. It must've got scrapped in favor of finding the pups.
>in favor of finding the pups.
How is that even related. Don't you flip the levels during playthrough?
Only at specific spots by hitting special clouds and it's always a timed minigame to get a flower, you don't flip them at will with a ground pound.
Only when you beat the level and then it's a different challenge that only focus on finding Poochie's pups and beating it fast for 100%
That user was just worrying if they kept the ground pound to flip the level mechanic he'll have to do it constantly to not miss a collectible
MAKE 3D KIRBY AND YOSHI GAMES ALREADY, GOD DAMMIT!!!
user.... All the ground pound flipping you saw in the pre-release trailers...
Can't do in the final game.
I'd argue that Good Feel's Yoshi games are more ambitious than Kumazaki's Kirby games. At least Star Allies. Such a shitty departure from Planet Robobot.
>playing this over yoshi's island
That is like playing any of the new paper mario games instead of the old ones.
I've already played yoshi's island.
What this user said along with the game being delayed for a few months and having such a shitty resolution on the Switch makes me think that good-feel are just bad developers that can't really manage a project.
