>outfit you get round the beginning of the game is the best outfit
Outfit you get round the beginning of the game is the best outfit
>equipment used in promotional material in the first game ends up being the best in the series
Hunter coat with some headpiece that is just a hat is the best. No hat at all if you're a bad enough dude to play it like that; you lose like 5% damage reduction by not wearing one though
old hunter set is the coolest tho
>Armor in subsequent games become near useless so it's literally now just fashion
I think you mean this game.
>Have to choose between looking good or having decent stats
>Some of the best armor is the dumbest looking
Not even close.
???
that's literally the best possible outcome though.
armor and upgrading it is retarded.
anyone can beat DaS 1 in +5 tarkus armor. you literally don't even need to roll
Only good on female builds
Easily the best thing about Bloodborne that From Soft changed from the previous games. Fashion is infintiely more interesting than stating and upgrading armor pieces
Henryks gear is good too.
I always play with the london victorian cop from the dlc.
For aesthetics? Maybe
If you ignore resistances then you're a shitter.
The subsequent game doesn't even have armor lol
Dark Souls 1 is the easiest souls precisely because of how silly overpowered armor is. You literally don't even need to fucking move, just stand still and chug your way through the strongest attack of the strongest boss in your havel/smough/tarkus +5. If there's no in between, and armor can only be overpowered or worthless, it's better if it's worthless. A simple fix to armor is to simply start putting effects on it, because shit like poise/hyper armor is just game breaking. Punishing you for not having on armor, rather than the grade of armor you're using, is also good, which is what 3 did.
> getting hit
Hello shitter
Only looks good, because Maria looks good. It's also horrible on males. If you could make actually decent looking females in BB it would be great.
>having resistance
>not being good enough to not get hit
your fucking trash
>dodging frenzy
I bet you played the game once. Shitters
You can make great looking women in BB. Way easier than in any other Souls character creator.
Resistances have no tangible effect in souls games.
>he doesn't just parry to abuse riposte i-frames and avoid taking damage
just admit you're a fucking casual and be done with it
Orange Charred Ring, you shitter
>if you don't get hit enough to need resistances, you're a shitter
>$1300
how about have sex
>cheeses soulsborne
Yep, it's a shitter alright
Dodge the ones that hit you to build frenzy, use visceral attack i-frames to avoid damage from the ones that build frenzy through line-of-sight. Easy, no reason to devote armor slots to it, especially when you can just use sedatives as a crutch anyway.
>Shitter reading comprehension
it's required for Izalith and completely useless for anything outside of that.
in fact, hiding shit in pools of Lava is the _ONLY_ time resistance matters in a souls game (including BB but it doesn't have lava pools).
That's not the charred hunter set.
Not resistances, but okay.
sorry bud, try again :)
so fucking /fa/. I love it
for me it's charred hunter set with hunter's mask
The optimal way to wear this in builds is with that fucking gold viking helmet
Armor is not useless. Your physical / arcane / fire etc damage resistances are represented as numbers like 280. That 280 basically means 28% of all damage done to you of that damage type is reduced, and I'm pretty sure that is done after all the other calculations so it has a pretty significant impact. Even the flimsiest looking robes in BB give you way better damage resistance than nothing. Try going into a fight naked and every hit will feel like a counter-hit (ie where you fuck up and dodge right into their attack or are hit while sprinting or in midair or whatever, and you take extra damage)
So fucking good.
>that lighting
massive yikes bruv
Honestly clothing resistances help a lot. They often change you from dying in two hits to dying in three. Like Logarious, tons of people go to fight him wearing hunters garb and shit that totals only like 15% arcane resistance and then they wonder why he does so much damage to them. Every attack he does is arcane
Im Gerhman
Logarius is also a total pushover of a boss that you can completely fuck over by outright denying him the bulk of his moveset. You can shoot his cloud of swords away from a distance in no time and when he's in his retarded powering up animation to change to his final phase you can just backstab and visceral him and he'll never gain his final moveset. Total cakewalk of a fight.
Needs more fashion
looks better in 3
>feather cap
Why is Maria such a fucking faggot
>implying old uncle G is a manlet
Nice try.
Nah. Executioner is best all-around. Best looking is Maria's.
He is a glitchy faggot with his sword totems that fall through the floor, and his parry bullet deflection bullshit. He is totally weak to big physical weapons like kirkhammer and LHB and he does pretty weak damage to you if you have arcane resistances.
I dunno why people act like he is one of the best bosses, he's a great fight but not that much better than say Pthumerian Elder desu.
She knows armor value counts for fuck all in BB so she decided to go for style points. It's not her fault they designed her boss fight to be so easy. Her armor genuinely looks good.
I really liked the Hunter of Hunters set.
Something about these two just nail the setting of the games while having a perfect main character look to them
That's not mensis cage or that cone, you shitter
>Why is Maria such a fucking faggot
Because that way she can fucking toy with the doll
i agree
the elite knight set being an overrated worse reskin of the fluted knight set perfectly sums up ds1
Pity about the exposed neck when you use the helmet with torsos that don't have a high collar. A lot of these could have been solved with a generic mail coif extending down past the helmet, and gets covered up by collar when there is one.
