my first midnight release was for halo 4. i bought the special edition and put an ungodly amount of hours into campaign and multiplayer. now my favorite game to play is destiny 2 on PC. i went out and got a 1080ti, 8700k, 16 GB ram, m.2 ssd, 165hz G-sync monitor, mechanical keyboard and mouse JUST to play destiny 2. I only play destiny 2 now, nothing more, nothing less.

Since "most competitive" is based on number of entrants, you're probably right.
If you take "most competitive" to mean number of skilled entrants, you're maybe still right by the numbers, but maybe wrong since it's easy to be a big fish in a small pond in smash compared to most fighting games.
If you take "most competitive" to mean "most skillful" you honestly might still be right depending on which smash game, since the skill ceiling is ridiculously high because of the unusual movement, and things like speed of inputs and DI mattering so much.
This is all coming from a hardcore 2d fighting game fag
