Best game of 2018 was HITMAN 2. I put emphasis on game there, because that's something GoW4 isn't 60% of the time in between 20% of gameplay and 20% of pretending not to be a glorified loading screen.
Honestly wish Spider-Man got the majority normie GoTY award. It wasn't great but it was fun sometimes and was actually a fucking game outside QTEs and it's shitty stealth sections.
MHW sucked, and I hate that MH's a fucking crossover vehicle now.
Still hopeful for Iceborne though, High Rank games are always gay.

The legit only problem with the game is a severe lack of bossfights and only the one finisher for every damn troll is boring as hell. Everything else about the combat is a joy to play. Literally spent hours grinding Niflehiem while listening to podcasts and enjoyed every second of it. Killing your way through the variety of monsters is fun as fuck.

Because that's literally what it is? It feels more like a movie than a game. Some people including zoomers seems to like that, some of us don't.

I like the previous installations more.
Don't think the open world concept worked for this game.
The camera is way too zoomed in, no FOV option.
Unfortunately these are dealbreakers for me, I might finish it someday

The game is played all in one "take" and framed like a movie. The developers deliberately "hid" loading screens to make it appear more CINEMAtic and movie like. It's a movie game dude.

No one ever says anything about how "great" the combat is or can recount their epic fights.
Truth is it's a walking simulator with some crappy combat put in. And it's a shit story as well. It only passes because it had God of War plastered on it, yet it plays nothing like any previous GoW game.
