Devil Engine.
A shmup about an AI controlled, self-aware spacecraft released to eleminate a threat to humanity called the Devil Engine which was made by humanity, but started machinations of its own to complete its own transcendance and free itself from human control.

The good ending speaks of the protagonist AI ship commiting sacrifice in the midst of the final battle to make sure the Devil engine is destroyed.

So I see it as a direct Biblical metaphor. Humanity's hubris lead them to create the Devil Engine which can control time and space in order to figuratively reach heaven. The Devil Engine represents human sin and its potential to destroy humanity if left to fester. The protagobist AI ship is the savior coming out of the darkness. Thr act of sacrifice of the AI ship to destroy mankind's sin symbolizes the death of Christ to redeem humanity from its own evil.

The neutral and bad ending further support this theory. In the neutral ending, the AI ship chooses to merge with the Devil Engine and absorbs it into its own consciousness. It becomes a Godmachine and chooses to rule over mankind with terror to prevent them from ever sinning again. One day the Godmachine abandons them abd humanity is left to wither away.

In the bad ending, the AI ship is badly damaged and choose to merge with the Devil Engine as a last resort effort to stop it from the inside, but the engine absorbs its cobsciousness and use it to complete itself. Once complete, the Devil Engine manage to free itself from the timespace prison it was confined to and judge humanity deserving to be extinguish. It then bathes the world in neutronic fire, effectively wiping all life.

The same reason for how God existed before God, he is timeless and don't give a fuck about physics and shit. I'm not even a religious fag this is their legitimate answer, that he transcends space and time.

>death cultist catholics at it again
We were all forgiven of sin before Jesus got on the cross, let alone died. Just accept he is the way to Heaven and the Lord and you are saved.
