No. I'm not a pansy.

Of course, it's the optimal way to play and it helps you learn to play carefully and plan ahead. Only shitters sacrifice units they don't want to cheese maps.

>b-b-but you're not playing the game right!

By the logic of people who refuse to reset when a unit dies, they should destroy their game when their Lord dies.

>plot important characters don't actually die, they just retreat
Every important character should have Lord status and give a game over screen if they die

Fire Emblem was explicitly designed with the notion that players would restart if they lost a unit.

PoR is so brain dead easy

Not anymore. Permadeath makes fire emblem more interesting.

Only if it's due to something like missing a 95% chance hit or getting hit by a 1% chance crit.

is this an epin new pasta? I saw it for xcom the other day too.

Explain the filler characters in FE1.

>growing by playing video games

Attached: 400.jpg (585x351, 319K)

used to.
nowadays I find doing blind iron man play throughts to be more fun.

cope shitter

proof?

It depends on the game and the unit that died.

Actually I believe the opposite. I grew and improved a lot by resetting the game because I got to sit back, think over what went wrong, the things I did and I didn't do. By analyzing my strategies I got to know how to play the game. Blindly Ironmaning can teach you just as bad habits as playing with casual mode, because in the end you didn't get a chance to learn from your mistakes.

Always. It's become so second nature that when I play on phoenix mode, I immediately reset despite there being no need to do so because the dead guy will just jump back into battle afterwards.

What are the best games to experience permadeath of allies? That isnt Fire Emblem of course.
The last time for me was Fallout 3. Stupid Dogmeat jumped into fights and got himself gangraped to death so many times I didnt bother reloading one day.
Now that I think about it I wonder why I never had a companion in New Vegas die, seeing as anyone can be killed in that game.

X-com baby!

kenshi
everyone and everything can die, especially you

The early games were designed to be ironman'd. Starting with either 6 or 7 they changed that philosophy a bit.

I know it's pasta but that doesn't really work for fire emblem. Every map can be beaten without losing any units, so if I lose a unit, I fucked up somewhere. By not just accepting the fuck-up, but having to think about it and do it over again until I get it right, that's personally taught me more about the game and made me a better player. And it's certainly not a shortcut to have to do levels over until you actually complete them without losing any units.

New Vegas companions couldn't be killed unless you played on hardcore mode.

They're designed to be played either way. Not sure why you fags are so insistent on your way being the only proper way.
As long as you don't play on casual or phoenix, you're okay.

It's from a guy responding to this

Games with any kind of combat RNG deserve to be save scummed desu.

Shut up Ike you're gay

How do you learn in a game based entirely around luck and chance?

Attached: comic259.png (650x621, 136K)

Of course not, i just always happen to, accidently, get my mc unit killed that leads to a game over :^)

>calling the player out for "cheating"

Thats rich coming from a game where you can miss attacks when enemies are one meter in front of you. I didnt play the game but thats all I see people posting from it.

Do we agree with him or not? I can't tell who is being made fun of with it being so widespread.

>make a game where losing due to bullshit can send you on a streak of losing due to further bullshit
>surprised when people reload saves.

fire emblem isn't this bad when it comes to save scumming, or the original xcom games for that matter.

learning how to stack the odds and how to avoid "i need to get the right die roll result on this one instance or else i lose"-type scenarios.

luck is certainly a factor in FE, but unless you're getting some divine intervention on your RNG, luck will still take a backseat to your strategy.

know when to throw
know when to hold em

>reseting and doing the whole level again is taking the "easy way" out.

>this fucking pasta of all things gets spammed
I hate you reddit niggers so fucking much.

>bandit with 37% chance to hit and 2% chance to crit
>kills a lord and causes a game over
Resets are there because they can't perfectly balance every stage and unit. If your stategy was based solely around "I'm only going to engage units when they can't fight back so I'll never lose to a bullshit crit," the game would be unplayable.

People here are probably gonna shit on this opinion, but why care if some literally who "journalist" cheated in Sekiro? Why post an incredibly melodramatic response to the guy?

Only when I've been specifically training that said character. You should know how it feels when all that hard work and levels goes down the drain when 1 unit dies.

I'm waiting for one of these to pop up for Fallout even though the manual for the first game actively encourages it and even lists "random seed generated each time the game is reloaded" as a feature.

FE6 is still filled to the brim with disposable shit.

Attached: Untitled3.jpg (1807x634, 927K)

What do you call the strategy to send Ike when in doubt?

this, trying to make sure your team survives makes you a better tactician

it's a mod/mockup/whatever, with either the councilman's VA or a very convincing imitation quoting the epic meme

I mean, in FE6, all you really need are Roy, his waifu, the not-Nordion siblings, Big Dick Dieck, based nun of /ss/, the Pegasisters, the product of Nino doing her best, and pad the rest out to taste.

Trying not to do that with this new campaign I'm going through at the highest difficulty, but it's definitely challenging because of the turn limit. As you can see I was 1 turn away from hitting the limit.
I'll see if I can improve my execution as well to finish faster and increase the gold reward I get for the next scenario.

Attached: Wesnoth Turn Limit.jpg (1920x1080, 1016K)

Ike existing as a unit is a better representation of this dumb meme than restarting levels, you can just solo the map with him and either not even deploy other units or have them carry extra swords for him.

Was Ike gay?

Soren was gay. Ike was chronically afraid of any and all human contact.

Ike pounded Soren so hard it created a descendant, this is canon

>park pegasus knight out of enemy range
>suddenly enemy reinforcement archer spawns from nowhere in their range, moves immediately and snipes her
>I'm supposed to deal with it because it's my fault that she got killed because some random unit spawned from nowhere

>so called "strategy game"
>is actually just gambling and mitigating risk by not putting units out where they will 100% die from RPS triangle shit or being outnumbered
yuck!

ambush spawns were such an awful feature.

>Game about multiple characters all having their own unique personality and their own playstyles and classes
>If one dies to something purely RNG or something else you can't restart because reason
If you don't fucking restart when a character dies, you're playing this game wrong.

Attached: 1399683661840.jpg (500x500, 135K)

I thought he was going to pound Elincia, but he did Soren instead. So yeah.

depends. if it is a staple character i invested in, yes. but if i'm too close to beating the map, i'll bite the bullet anyway and move on.

Attached: cal and val.jpg (800x988, 337K)

For the majority of this series most characters had like 20 lines of dialog if that

>they should destroy their game when their Lord dies.
you don't? don't you care about supporting the devs? god, you're the reason why the fire emblem series almost died

imagine caring so much about how other people play a game

Attached: 45530060.png (381x316, 129K)

Apocalypse sucks so much, but YHWH looks so much fun I'm plowing through anyway.

The Lord dying means you delete the save file and start a new game. Are you new to this?

Farcry 2.

7 also

Damn shit taste

FE7 had decent units, it's just that everyone looks disposable when compared to the juggernaut of Pherae.

NPCs are just jumping on it because it's popular. If OP seriously does think this is a proper comparison he's beyond retarded. Using an external cheat program is different from resetting the fucking game.

Not fucking around, I was reading at a high school level when I was in 1st grade because of video games. Had an uncle that played 90s PC games with a lot of dialogue.

Soren died on the first mission I could use him. I had my doubts, but he was such a massive asshole in the story was happy he died and finished without him.

Every game has good and bad units retard

So where the fuck is that quote from anyway
Like, he put it in the most autistic way possible but he has a point.
If you're gonna use cheats to progress, why not just watch a playthrough on YouTube instead if you aren't willing to play by the game's rules?
Hell, you don't even have to pay and you get to see the ending, win-win.

He's probably the best final boss in the series, no matter how much you don't like the story he makes up for all of it.

depends
FE5 and anything before it no
FE4 or anything after thracia sure
Most of my unit deaths come from RNG or bullshit map design, rarely from the AI outplaying me unless I got bored of a map and felt like rushing to end it quickly

Ike is asexual and aromantic. Soren is absolutely gay, though.

Wasn't it from a guy who called out a PC Gamer journo for cheating in Sekiro

Depends.
If I'm losing out on content by losing a character (i.e, I need the unit to access a chapter or to recruit another unit), then I reset.
If I really enjoy using the unit, I'll reset.
If I just started the chapter, I'll reset.
If I'm deep into the chapter and don't want to do everything all over again, and the unit I lost doesn't meet the first two requirements, I'll consider going on.
I hate losing units but I'm not going to waste my time saving somebody I don't really need, doubly so if it's one of the games that gives you a dozen replacements for every role.

Attached: __dorothy_fire_emblem_fuuin_no_tsurugi_and_etc_drawn_by_stst177__e7127bb2b2c6d6c1c93257c6edf870be.jp (689x912, 170K)

I have more fun resetting whenever a unit dies. I've tried just rolling with it when I unit dies, but I feel like I'm stumbling my way through. When I reset I'm trying to get through the chapter perfectly.

Ike was gay as fuck. His relationship with Soren was completely homosexual, and the only characters that had paired endings with him in RD were Soren or Ranulf - either way, totally gay. But then Awakening gave him a descendant, and so he must've fucked a woman at some point. Probably succumbed to the allure of Mia's pits/

Or wincest with Mist

>60% hit rate
If you attack, it's essentially a coin toss, however if you double you have basically 85% of hitting. Engage if you need only one of the two hits and if you can afford eating the hit.
>40% chance of missing
That miss that most likely you will dodge one in two or three attacks. IF your unit isn't doubled and he's in the range of 3 enemies, although chances have it he will only eat one hit, be make sure he's to take two hits.

If you're in modern Fire Emblem you can also search for ways to increase hit rate. For instance in Conquest Chapter 5, the one where the 4 nohrian royals battle the 4 hoshidan, Ryoma might be intimidating at first, doubling Xander and no one reaching more than 60% on his ass, but if you have Elise use the Freeze staff on him, his avoid will reduce y 20 and just making Leo stand besides him will further increase your hit rate by another 20. If you couple this with Attack Stance (Camilla and Elise increase damage and defense by sanding next to them) you can reach solid 90% hit rate against him and easily make it so Corrin can feed off his Exp.

Some of my favorite moments playing Awakening resulted from my units getting crit to death.

>Conquest Chapter 5, the one where the 4 nohrian royals battle the 4 hoshidan
That's ch 6
Also I'll give that a try next playthrough

>If you attack, it's essentially a coin toss
It's actually a fair bit better post-SNES thanks to how the newer games calculate hit rate.
the tldr is that hit rate isn't actually honest and your odds of hitting/missing increase exponentially as you move farther away from 50%.

A unit dying should then result in a game over, that's just retarded.

>But then Awakening gave him a descendant
That's just 8-4 fanfiction. He calls himself a descendant "of sorts" and a master forger in jp.

>Hans' map
>send Ryoma to dodge tank some berserkers
>he dies

Attached: 1517952953854.png (201x295, 4K)

I do in FFT though they give you a nice three turn buffer to revive the character or wrap the battle up

Another tip: Felicia or Jakob in Chapters 2 and 3 will regain their full heal staff when they join back in chapter 6. This means that you can break their heal staves in chapter 5 to earn them a few levels and they'll have another new one.

Likewise Elise in chapter 6 isn't "recruited" yet doesn't get experience and won't consume any uses for her staves she starts with in chapter 7, so you can use Freeze with reckless abandon if you need more hit rate.

Also it's better to level Kaze up in chapter 4 and 5 as much as you can. You can also grind Azura up in chapter 5 by spamming her dance, and the levels she gains here will stick even whenever you do a quick start a new campaign. It's good to do it on a Lunatic start so it's saved forever, since the first 6 chapters are the same in Lunatic and Hard, even if you just want to chill out in Hard/Classic as you can always just lower the difficulty after starting.

double RNG only starts kicking in after 65%+ and less than 35%. The 40~ and 50~ range is still pretty unaffected. It's still better if you plan ahead with worst case scenario in mind.

Also Fates has it so it uses double RNG above 50%, but uses single RNG below 50%. that's why everything hits and dodgetanking doesn't feel quite as viable.

Underrated post

Yes. Finding a way to beat the map without losing anyone is a challenge in itself.

>Named like Ike (specially in japanese)
>Behaves like Ike
>His entire design is based on him looking like Ike
>Has Ike's unique weapon, which he left Tellius with
>His basic skills allude to Ike
>Game """"Hints""""" he's his descendant
Come on, man. It's so heavy handed it's ridiculous

There's no difference between playing on casual and restarting the game with any player of sufficient skill. The only difference is that reset shitters can't handle any situation in which they have any kind of disadvantage or setbacks.

>we

If you reset you still have the same disadvantages or setbacks.

>Trusting Fates hit rates
i thought everyone knew about how that game's rng worked

>implying that Ike would leave Tellius with Ragnell
It's wouldn't even be the first time a character pretended to be someone he's not.

Attached: FE5_Shanam_Artwork.png (812x1485, 953K)

>Some random calls himself "Ike's decendant" without any proof aside from using "Ragnell"
>trust him
This is the same game where a random brigand claimed being Chrom

If it wasn’t for resets and save states, I wouldn’t even be playing Fire Emblem or XCom. The fact that I can’t do the latter in FE14 is one of the main reasons I fucking hate that game. Thank fucking Christ for FE15 adding the Turnwheel.

Yes yes, but see, you're the ones going against the narrative the authors of the game themselves imply. Unlike Shanam, whom we knew it was not him for his appearance in FE4 and his recruiting conversation and ""Chrom"" whom we knew it was not him because we had the real Chrom around, you have absolutely no reason to doubt him, for believing him is the intention of the game's story. And until more supplementary material comes to disprove him we have to go with what we have, which points to him being Ike's descendant. Hell the only reason he actually even has a withered out Ragnell is to further connect him with Ike

Which I do not understand why does him being Ike's descendant got so many people's panties in a ruffle. Ike left Tellius at a pretty young age in his early 20's and there is no telling what happend to him afterwards. Enough time to shag a few girls.

Reality-wise Ike is literally pansexual and only loves training like a blue-haired Ryu. Soren is implied to be gay for Ike.

Knowing modern IS, they'll probably make Ike gay with Soren down the line.

It’s the fucking Aether skill.

Then again, it’s not like that means anything, either, when fucking Chrom can learn it now.

Priam actually doesn't have Aether. He has Sol and Luna.

He has Sol and Luna separately not Aether

Attached: Priam skills.png (411x316, 29K)

They're mad because it technically squashes the "Ike is gay" memes because Soren's butthole can't produce children.

Whether they're serious or feigning for amusement is a different matter, though I'd imagine hope there's more of the latter.

>Which I do not understand why does him being Ike's descendant got so many people's panties in a ruffle. Ike left Tellius at a pretty young age in his early 20's and there is no telling what happend to him afterwards. Enough time to shag a few girls.

because Ike having a spawn goes against the narrative that he fucked Soren in the ass every night

FE1 was explicitly the exact opposite, per Kaga.

this guy has the idea

>Hell the only reason he actually even has a withered out Ragnell is to further connect him with Ike
There's zero reason for him to take ragnell with him, and Priam calls himself a master forger in the jp version, which seems to want to leave it ambiguous if he's Ike's/Mist's descendant or just a hobo. I won't disagree that until we get new material we can rule out Ike shagging someone, but for me it seems like Priam's not directly descended from Ike.

>can
Meant to say can't

>Which I do not understand why does him being Ike's descendant got so many people's panties in a ruffle.
Because he was supposed to be gay. For them to just play the fucking plausible-deniability card like this is fucking infuriating, especially when hetero relationships almost never have to deal with this kind of ambiguity (Compare the Lyn/Florina or Raven/Lucius endings to any of Priscilla or Vaida’s paired endings

>Priam can't learn Aether so isntead he learned Sol and Luna and pretends they're Aether together

Truly a genius conman, can he reclass into a Thief?

Ragnell in theory could be weilded by everyone since Alondite was an SS sword
Also don't lump me with fujoshits i wanted Ike to tap Lethe's ass after reading his supports in PoR

Ok

Yes, also applying the brand new sekiro cheating pasta to this specific scenario makes no sense. When you reset in Fire Emblem you are starting back at square one and have to do the whole map again, akin to starting the map from a game over. I think a more apt FE equivalent would be if you used gameshark/action replay to make your units invincible or never miss.

He can be an assassin

if you reset when a unit dies in fire emblem you have a brain disease and are directly responsible for making this series worse.

literally all of its mechanics are centered on the fact that you can get a bad diceroll crit that kills your unit. by removing this all you're left is an extremely bare bones srpg because the only difficulty in fire emblem is about logistics and risk/reward over the whole campaign

Darkest dungeon. Just make a team of only one hero per type and when he dies - do not replace him. Enjoy.

I, too, require other people to tell me what my opinion is

why would ike be allowed to leave tellius with ragnell anyway
it doesn't even belong to him it's on loan. he prefers fighting with his own sword Ettard I thought.

Soren used dark magic to get a womb and got Ike'd. That's how Priam was born.

Probably because they wanted to Keep Aether unique to Chrom's line and because that thing is pretty busted to just give it away on a free high skill Hero, considering he has more hax skills he shouldn't get like Swordbreaker and Lancebreaker.

He has the Fighter and Myrmidon lines, so he can be an Assassin, though.

Why not? The goddess got killed and starting anew was a theme of the game, so those legendary weapons no longer held much ground. Besides I think the final CG of RD had Ike in his PoR costume walking away with the Ragnell in hand.

And even if he wouldn't, the only reason why Priam has the Ragnell is to further connect him with Ike by pure rule of Fanservice. The same reason why the dreadlords from FE4 along with the FE4 holy weapons appear and can be weilded by anyone. Consider that Awakening was written by different people than PoR and desired to bring tons of fanservice, as Awakening was meant to be the last game in the series.

Definitely XCOM, although with those games you'll get mad at the rng fucking you over than you will over losing any given individual.

Yea and I also save and reset when my unit was about to level up,so I can get the stat increases I want on the gamecube and wii FE. Too much rng for my taste. It's stupid that you can get zero stat increases when you level up

So why can’t you be fine with Ike being gay?

Fucking based, savescumming shouldn't even be a thing anymore yet it's too damn prevailant in PC games, probably moreso than before.

No he canonically fugged Mia fight me.

xcom. the good ones, not firaxismcom trash. losses matter in the short run because it takes time replace them, but in the long run dont mean much because everyone and everything is replaceable eventually

Because it's really a stretch, sexuality at all has nothing to do with his character, and it sometimes get to the point where fags carry him like a fucking banner.

Probably because it means a lot to fanfiction writers when they don’t have to write “AU” or “slash” on their fics.

No he constantly fucks her on the side and real wife Jill never finds out because the stray hairs on his collar are the same color as his

Remember that Dreamwidth article I linked to you a few days ago? It ends like this:

>At the end of all this discussion, one might like to ask what this really means for anyone. After all, sitting around comfortably in 2014 while Orphan Black introduces two major explicitly lesbian characters, one major explicitly gay character, and one soon-to-be-major explicitly transgender character, it's hard to think of a non-explicit vaguely seme/uke relationship as a sign of progress.
>Things were different back when it all started. Only one year prior to FE9's release, Bush had been re-elected and my home state (the notoriously swingy middle-of-the-spectrum Ohio) voted to ban anything resembling same-sex unions. In general, the climate in America was still conservative enough that the localizers played down the tactician and played up the princess in FE9, turned an offensively effeminate black man into an offensively dumb black man, and wrote out the flamboyant queer tiger in FE10. In contrast, as of this writing, half a year ago same-sex marriage became legal in Utah.
>At the time the old fandomers started shipping Ike/Soren in the early days of FE9 fandom, we had been accustomed to being considered yaoi fangirls, internalized the idea that our preferences were inherently acanonical, and yielded to the Ike/Elincia fans at the crosswalks of dignified discussion, as was the norm. Our ships were always subtext and I think, by and large, we knew that it was hopeless to convince the majority of people that they had enough basis to be considered in the same light as popular straight ships.
(1/3)

>Then along came FE10, and suddenly it seemed the tide had turned. Ike only gets endings with two guys. At the end of the game he hugs Soren who weeps on his shoulder. What's going on!? "GUYS... IKE/SOREN IS CANON!!!"
>And promptly the legions of people who were the kind to write "no yaoi" in their summaries crossed their arms and harrumphed, and either grumbled about RD's irrational decisions or insisted that Ike was still straight. But for once, the source material had blessed what we had seen in its predecessor and we finally had a reasonable amount of proof to show the Reasonable Neutral People of the day that our ship was not in fact mere flight of fantasy. The fact that one party involved was the macho favorite of the majority of the casually homophobic gamer side of the fandom only made it all the sweeter. It meant a lot to many of us, and for some, it still does. Many people are invested in the matter of Ike's sexuality for essentially--yes--the somewhat petty reason of wanting to enjoy being right about this issue for once.
>But it is important in a larger sense.
(2/3)

Wrong

Attached: 1521010058394.jpg (1200x1320, 166K)

>In 2007 it was important representation in the sense that non-gag same-sex pairings in mainstream Japanese works were incredibly rare. It still sort of is. For many of us in Japanese media fandom it was our first brush with a very nearly explicitly gay pairing. These days, representation isn't really the heart of the issue anymore. The issue at hand is the public reaction to a character for whom there is significant evidence of same-sex attraction. It is because Ike occupies a gray space between strong suggestion and explicit queerness that the reaction to him is so bitterly divided--and that these opinions, collectively, provide a fascinating view into the way public perception changes over time. Around the time of the Priam explosion, I wandered into the GameFAQs forums to see what they were up to, and found that more than half of the posters argued that Ike was into men. After Priam!
>I want to avoid that saying any individual person is homophobic for not thinking that Ike is into men. However, I certainly believe the matter of Ike's sexuality is significant because of the trends in the way people have reacted to him. Like how the absence of popular mixed-race slash pairings is a significant trend, fandom's collective reaction toward the subject of Ike's sexuality reveals interesting biases. Why do so many people propose asexuality for Ike, but no other major Fire Emblem character? Why is an Ike/female character pairing evidence-based because he rescued that girl at some point, when saving Soren's life and eloping with him isn't enough to salvage the pairing from being a "crack pairing"? And why do so many people both in support of straight Ike and gay Ike find it annoying when bisexuality is proposed?
>Even though the old reasons for arguing about Ike's sexuality are no longer relevant, something about this issue revives the topic time and time again.
(3/3)

Yes, unless you want to challenge yourself with an Ironman run, which I wouldn't recommend without having a normal playthrough first due to the amount of same turn reinforcements and lmao 1% crits this game have.

Although Elincia could do no better than making Ike her man he wouldn't marry her because then he'd have to live in a palace and he'd hate that.

Or maybe people just play for fun and don't give a shit about arbitrary rules.

Is Raven gay?

Wesnoth is neat but it's pretty much impossible not to savescum sometimes. In the regular campaign maps where you can build units it's mostly fine, but in the "hero" maps where you have like one good unit and maybe some trash, you can just insta-lose because of bad luck

IT DOESN’T SAY THEY MARRY THOUGH

God who even fucking cares.
Ike might be gay. Or maybe he isn't. It's up to interpretation you fucking autists. If they wanted to give a clear answer they would have.

Its just Discord npcs trying to make a meme out of his response. It wasn't that cringe, it wasn't clever, poignant or funny, it's just a cheap diversion tactic while they push for easy modes in art other people created.

Since when does Japan ever pull the trigger on canonizing gay couples as official?

It's funny how hard they're trying to push this meme to become the next EUPHORIC. Imagine being this salty over being called a shitter in a video game.

Story related units literally force a reset by game overing you on death. Permadeath was never well implemented in FE, it’s a fucking character driven story with a long play time. It would fit a lot better in a game where you control a lot more units and they’re largely mooks.
I’m actually in favor of anti-cheese roguelike mechanics where you the game saves after every decision so you can’t cheese it on reset but only if there’s a wounding mechanic or something that prevents one 1% crit from instantly gibbing someone forever. Maybe have the wounded unit sit out 2 or 3 future battles, and increase the time with subsequent wounds.

How's the gacha game? Worth? Is there permadeath?

Shit. No. No.

Are those "hero" maps part of the official campaigns? I'm just playing through the official campaigns.
The one thing that kinda bothers me so far about Wesnoth, is that I wish the designers had implemented some other ways to spend gold. Since you mentioned savescumming, if you do that or your luck is going well enough and you've built up a bunch of decent units, you have this big surplus of gold you don't have any use for anymore way before the end of the campaign.

Some ideas I've thought of:

- Spending gold to buy exp for a unit after a scenario. Particularly useful for those units with only a few exp left before leveling up
- Units now have one item slot, and can equip an item, weapon, armor in it. You can buy items by accessing a shop when a village moves to a village hex. These just give simple bonuses, like +1 damage, +5 HP, +5% to hit, nothing too grand or crazy, just something to help out a unit you think is struggling. If a unit with an item dies, the item drops on the hex.
- Can turn a hex into a fort

The only people who care are faggots and fat fujos.

Priscilla is a girl so no.

Attached: this nigga.png (170x202, 8K)

>Story related units literally force a reset by game overing you on death.
That's usually almost never the case except for the main lord. In FE7 onward usually important story units besides the main lord would simply be badly wounded and unable to be deployed for the rest of the game.

I'm my interpretation Ike's a gay furfag.

Gee I wonder who's behind this post

oh wow, you have this discussion with several people.
but I'll humor you.
>american problems affecting a japanese game
>literally arguing ships and fanfiction
come on, lad. this is literally full of (you) problems.

>Why do so many people propose asexuality for Ike, but no other major Fire Emblem character?
Because others are a lot more direct
>Marth: outright marries Caeda
>Alm: Outright marries Celica
>Sigurd: Horrible things happened
>Seliph: not even his sister is safe from his schlong
>Leif: Canonically marries Nanna
>Roy: Can marry even his teacher
>Eliwood: Fucks a dragon back from death
>Ephraim: Not even his sister is safe from his Scholng
>Miciah: outright marries Sothe
>Chrom: If he's not married already he rapes someone mid game
Ike is the only one without an explicit ship, and non-romantic same gendered paired endings were also nothing uncommon in the series. Correct me if I am wrong too, but Ike has to be on A support with Soren in order to get a paired ending with him, and even then Ike's own epilogue doesn't mention Soren, but rather Soren's just mention him following Ike. So it's easy to see how it's one sided and you can write it off as just two men traveling together. You can even pass the argument Soren is not gay either.

Can't wait for that Tellius remake.

The text is completely right. SJWs are repeatedly posting it to try and make fun of it while everyone else is repeatedly posting it to make fun of SJWs.

Only if it's a unit I don't want to lose. If it's someone I don't really care about I just let them go.

It's always true for the main lord(s) though, and in many games they're very strong and have the best accessibility so there's no reason not to use them. It's only really Roy that's dead weight (Eliwood promotes late but is still strong early and midgame)

*ahem*
FUCK SUB-HUMANS
FUCK EMANCIPATION
AND FUCK ALL TRIBES

Don't the games already offer casual baby mode where your character revives on the spot?

Literally one game does that

That's only in the newest of the nu-FE games

No. I kill myself when a unit died.

I wish, must be nice being literally perfect.

>he doesn't destroy his copy of the game when a unit dies and goes to Gamestop to buy a new one

Depends how far I am in to a map. If they die early on then sure I'll reset but if they die towards the end of a long map to the boss or something then I won't bother

nobody cares about "improving" or "gaining" in an RNG game

>blaming everything on the RNG
do I smell casual
