Great. Just what videogames needed.
>playing this absolute shit at all
>denuvo
Literally no mention of denuvo on the steam page
OP is a fag
Salty nintenkeks lying on the internet lol.
Cool. Can wait to get Bayonetta 2 and 3 aswell.
Since when was Denuvo a problem?
>you are no longer allowed to criticize a video game that at one point was exclusive to something
nuke this board
Drones get the rope too for enabling pixel art vandalism and general indieshit.
good i wont to have use that shitty switch emu for this
Since games started being deployed as literal bloatware, not to mention that's on top of their already shit performance since when devs gave up on things such as optimization and code efficiency.
Nothing on the store pages says it has Denuvo. Although it probably will given that it's SE not that I care buying it either way.
Brainlet here. What is Denuvo and why does Yea Forums hate it so much.
Played it already. Who cares
en.wikipedia.org
DRM = bad
Doesn't bother me. Played and dropped this piece of shit on my hacked switch a long time ago
Literally not even worth a pirate, although I'll probably pirate it just to cost Squeenix sales
>DENUVO CONFIRMED
Stop lying.
store.steampowered.com
Day 1 pirate incoming
I already pirated the game on switch, denuvo won't stop me on pc
Short answer: Denuvo can interfere with how the game plays
Long answer: It's an anti-piracy tool developers/publishers add to ward off pirates and hackers. As proven multiple times, Denuvo is easily crackable, with games being piratable in as soon as a week. Even then, Denuvo takes up a crap ton of space in the game file. Sonic Mania if I recall correctly is only 2GB big, but the Steam version was almost 10 times as big simply because of Denuvo. As such, that massive amount of space can cause slowdowns and framedrops, a huge no-no to a majority of players. Hence, why people hate Denuvo and end up either play on console (a whole other can of worms) or simply pirating the whole game. Some devs caught onto it and exclude Denuvo protection in their games, but publishers can still enforce it.
>Fucking RPG maker tiers with some blur filters
>Still wating mony with DENUVO
KEK
OH MY SOI BOI
I wish Golden Sun was on steam.
Is this game actually any good?
Good for today.
The Dunky defense force is out strong today.
OH NO NO NO NO
It's good if it was a 20 dollar, full price? Fuck no
you are fooling anyone faggot. SEETHING
I just hope giving this to PC as sacrifice for Persona 5 will be worth it. :)
I bought this game for $60 on the Switch and it was the worst mistake I made. It's so fucking bland. I honestly wouldn't recommend this shit at all.
>nintendo exclusive
>GOTY YOU WILL NEVER HAVE THIS MASTERPIECE FAGGOTS HAHAHA
>pc version announced
>It-it was shit anyway heh, who the fuck cares...
Yeah
Persona 5 will be announced at E3 for Steam too
Bought this on Switch
It's trash
FUCK YEAH!!!!!!!
60fps confirmed?
FUCK DENUVO
Wow. This was my reason for buying a Switch. Stopped playing it after I beat this game too.
Not sure how I feel about this...
Every single time
Since the beginning
That's even better if it happens! :O
As much as ZombiU and cookieface's game were masterpieces.
Square is absolute garbage at PC ports.
Wait why did I buy a switch?
>We only pirate if it’s one Epic lol. Fuck bringing games to PC that never would’ve otherwise because of downloading another launcher
>Fuck DRM, I’ll pirate it even if it’s on steam
PCNiggers are a plague and fucking hypocrites. People that literally have to work for their money and won’t get it. The day some devs will decide not to bring their games to PC because of piracy you’ll screech like some bitch about it.
I don't know a single person that has said Octopath was GOTY
>all these brainlets taking OP at face value
>PCNiggers are a plague and fucking hypocrites.
Shut up bitch, you are only mad because you are poor and live in a trailer with your obese mother you euphoric negro.
>Implying anyone is going to bother pirating this shit game
It was okay. Not worth buying new desu
>DRM on top of DRM
Thisi is so fucking dumb
Okay so? If you're gonna pirate it, why the fuck does it matter since it'll be cracked anyway?
>The game was released worldwide on July 13, 2018 for the Nintendo Switch
11 months
Guess I'll wait for a DQ11 patch then
cause pirates are very insecure about their reasons for pirating so if they have something with a modicum of justification for their actions they'll tout it all day
>>DENUVO CONFIRMED
I'd say "confirmed pirated", but I'd have to want to play this first.
Because the fucking thing makes loading times and framerate worse.
Doesn't matter much for Octopath, but I'm fucking mad about it in SC and DMC5.
have fun pc bros; just don't go in expecting FF6. For whatever reason people keep comparing it to that but frankly it's nothing like FF6. it reminds me more of a Saga game.
>tfw I bought a Port Machine for this game and dropped it half way through because it was boring
>half way
you made it further than me senpai
Any good girl in this game?
literal pixels
is that a yes or no?
maybe
do you like sexy blocks?
I pirated the game on Switch, but then uninstalled it, because I remembered I hate random battles.
oh no
I have to wait an entire extra week to pirate it
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Maybe modders can turn off the shit depth of field effect and add colors. I knew not buying it on the switch would pay off.
Well that's one less game to buy on switch for me.
I played the demo on Switch on release day when everyone was still jerking the game off and nearly fell asleep. Then like 2 weeks later everyone turned on it. Glad I dodged that bullet.
i played 40 hours of this fucking game and the story is so discombobulated and nonsensical the characters don't interact it's one of the rare games i dropped midway through
game was fucking terribly thought out
day one buy
I bet it'll end up looking even worse, somehow.
I'm surprised it's not on PS4. Let me guess; SE wasn't allowed to port it to PS4 because Primrose's tutorial boss tells her to suck him off.
hot
Cute Agnes
Thanks for the shitpost, I didn't know this was coming. Already preordered.
Remember to report off-topic pokemon threads.
It's amazing. Fuck the people who were never even fans of the genre at all shitting on the game.
I bought the special edition on Switch
It's very "alright" out of 10. Perfect for playing an hour at a time, I liked the music. Doesn't really do that much with it's own concept.
I think its a legit 10/10. It is pretty much the only game in the past 10 years where I've done the post-game content and wish I had more to do.
Its not confirmed though faggot
Yes. All the playable girls are amazing.
Enjoy your chink and russian rootkit
It's ok
The stories and voice acting are pretty good, presentation is nice, and the combat systems are solid.
But there are a bunch of shit things that hold it back like being permanently stuck with the starting character in your party at all times, having to do every single quest essentially in the order of 1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,2,2,2,2 etc because of how fucked the level scaling is, dungeons being really bad, and so on
This is a game that was made by the Silicon Studio's (Bravely Default devs) B team and plays and shows like the B team game. It's practically a step backwards from the bravely games so it's hard to not feel like a downgrade of you've played those.
store.steampowered.com
Every game published by Square Enix has Denuvo. They tend to add it closer to the release date. There's a very likely chance this will have denuvo. Also their PC support is dogshit, I'm pirating based on that alone.
You know that's not how piracy works, right?
>PC fags always desperate for ports and games they dont have
PC scum will always be the biggest autist on the internet
But denuvo has barely even slowed down cracking since it was first broken, what retards don't understand is that every new version of denuvo is built on the previous one and if the previous one was cracked, it's always easier to find the weaknesses.
if you've played literally any turn based jrpg ever you've already played this game
denuvo or not i always pirate trash like this
I 100%'d the whole game and have around 100 hours on it, AMA about Octopath if you're interested in it
where is the hate for this game coming from? I remember the threads when it was released and everyone was praising it.
Which team do you think is better Noble Path with the Apothecary, White Mage, Knight and Tressa or the Rogue Path with Haanit, Thief, Dancer and Scholar?
i own it on switch. p cool ma pc senpaitachi can enjoy it too.
Because they marketed the game as if the story was the main meat, when in reality it was the weakest part of the game according to many. Pretty much everything else about the game (battle system, visuals, music, freedom) made up for it for the people that love the game including me.
If we're talking late-game, I think Noble Path has an edge in my opinion. Alfyn's Concoct is broken and make him very versatile right off the bat. Ophilia is your healer and can also deal a good amount of damage with either Scholar or Sorcerer sub-job. Olberic is a good damage dealer in general and he can also tank and finally Tressa can have the Runelord sub-job which is arguably the best character/sub-job combination in the whole game. In my opinion the Noble characters goes well together, more than Rogue characters anyway.
Alright, our opinions align on which path is the best. You may continue with being right.
A shame they bright over that garbage and didn't port something a little less garbage like Bravely Default
Since Syberia III where removing Denuvo led to performance increase. Later on with DMC5 once again removing Denuvo led to a performance increase.
Nice this is a welcome surprise. But I'm still gonna buy a Switch down the line for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and more importantly
RUNE FUCKING FACTORY 5 NIGGAS
>muh 100 extra MB
YARRRRR
Imagine having a bunch of small games take up to 20+ gb on your hdd and have worse performance and little to no modding support.
>charging 60 bux for a basic jrpg on a niche console and never going on sale
This game literally deserves to be pirated
meant for
I'm retarded fuck I'm going to sleep
Except the game was shat on from the moment they revealed that there's no interaction between characters and that stories don't intersect. And post launch the consensus is that it's mediocre.
I really do need to get back into the game. Haven't needed to for years between steep sales and GOG existing as a doesn't-fuck-the-consumer option, but with more shit containing cancerware again, it's time to dust off the old hat and flintlock. Only issue these days is avoiding crap like those IGG releases with malware packed in.
Big studios wish they could make an actual refined turn based combat system but literal flash game makers have them beat.
EBF5 is based
>Denuvo
So cracked in 24 hours then
EPIC
FUCKING
WON
60 bucks for a pixelated, old school jrpg? fuck off with that shit, day one pirate
>proceeds to spend 200$ a month on Fortnite skins and CSGO knives
So I was actually looking forward to getting this game- until I saw the combat art. Pic related.
Like this has to be a stylistic choice, but I don't understand why anybody would choose 'retarded' as a stylistic choice. Why would they make your opponents enormous, and of inconsistent scale and size? The only conserved factor appears to be that your main character is always given the smallest, and therefore most pixelated and lowest resolution, appearance.
I loved it, I also love banjo-tooie, megaman x, final fantasy Ix and tactics and halo 2. take that as you will
It’s how older square RPGs were, zoomie.
yeah haha who would ever do something like that
I hope it's bait.
The effects are good.
The spritework is excellent.
Combat system is pretty great.
Everything else is shit.
pssh i dont play fortnite
>proceeds to buy 200 packs for Fifa ultimate team

Soundtrack of the year also Baka desu senpai

>日本語版のタイトルがくそってゆー感じ

>八道旅人じゃねぇとゆぅ感じ
:(
It's either denuvo rootkit, china/russia rootkit or no game. You really can't win here
>Denuvo
Might not be too late to get the Switch version then, depending on just how fast PC version gets cracked of course.
What was the issue with killing ssds?
Is there any truth to it (like a lot of reading/writing that would affect older gen ssds) or are newer gen ssds just better and free from short life issues.
Kinda like how plasma TVs were seen as bad because of muh burn-in, and even late-gen model plasma TVs were fine, that stigma just remained to ruin them forever.
You're still consuming product when you pirate it, retard.
to PC gamers without a switch then the switch is 3dpd denuvo + tip
It's a decent JRPG game
Square Enix = Denuvo.
It's ironic how anti-piracy software actually makes me pirate the game instead of buying it.
It is almost like Denuvo does the exact opposite of what it is advertised because it is so easy to crack and makes games worse, in turn making more people pirate.
>and end up either play on console (a whole other can of worms)
Console is perfectly fine for turn based RPGs and platformers. Why is that a new can of worms? I'd say FPSs, RTS, and CRPGs are the only games that are far superior on PC.
I mean, some games are just better suited for consoles, especially the ones you mentioned since they're portable.
After this, let's be real, what are the chances of seeing Bayonetta 2 on PC? Because I'm not buying a console for one game.
>What is Denuvo
Middleware DRM most easily likened to mid-00's types such as Securom and StarForce
>why does Yea Forums hate it so much
Since when the fuck did Yea Forums ever like any DRM? Even with people praising Steam there's always been a big opposition to it and any slight miniscule DRM solution in their games. Even then what people praise Steam for isn't the DRM solution Valve provides but all the other shit like getting shit for cheap or providing multiplayer for games that lost that functionality like Dark Souls PTD.
As for Denuvo in particular, Denuvo does things such as bog down game performance and increase read/write cycles on your hard drive, while it exists as an extra process on the CPU that may or may not also need periodic online checks.
>No Skies of Arcadia
One fucking job Sega, god fucking dammit.
> let’s be real
> nintendo
Precisely zero.
see:
>why the fuck does it matter if instead of being guaranteed a day 1 pirate you have to wait anywhere between a week to several months for the crack to come out?
Octopath is a Square Enix IP, only published by Nintendo outside of Japan. Bayonetta 2 is owned by Nintendo.
Nintendo literally funded and published Bayonetta 2. Octopath was just an exclusive on it, fully funded and published by Square Enix.
What's it like to be so retarded that you continue begging for a game five years after it came out and yet still haven't realized why it can't be ported?
How does denuvo keep getting people to buy it?
Ignoring the fact that it affects the games itself, it's shown repeatedly that it has no effect on people pirating and is just a waste of money.
I think it has also shown it has led to increased sales, especially early full price sales
It really has been five years, huh?
What's wrong with the new Dissidia? I had good fun on the PSP ones at least.
Denuvo is bloatware garbage that hinders game performance
youtube.com

everyone pirated this game months ago.
cry about it.
Pretty good if you count CEMU
What game is this?
Not the guy who posted it, but I found it in 2 seconds just now.
go beg for some persona
I was already kicking myself because I had just read the filename right after clicking "submit".
gr8 will pir8 m8
if it works for one day it has done its job. thats one day where the only option is to buy it.
this is that game that was really difficult to translate because of the spell system, isn't it? i vaguely remember reading about how the spell system used kanji ( or some other japanese characters) to create spells
>告死鳥
There's nothing difficult about this if you know the same Kanji a middle schooler does
suck a dick moralfag cunt
looks like you should brush up on your english reading comprehension
He meant that it was hard to translate because in English you can't keep the spell names describe the spell on screen while still looking mystical in written form.
When I first saw imagine of this game I thought it was some indie shit.
>Square Enix
What happened?
Denuvo Causes lots of problems for games. From dropped frame rates, to bloatwarre, and to the fact that it doesn't protect any game that uses it and they always get cracked.
I dislike it because if Denuvo were to ever go down, the games you bought would be unplayable. This happened once where all Warner Bros games became unplayable for a week due to a problem with Denuvo in their games.
You can read all the facts here ;
everythingdenuvo.wordpress.com
>fucks over paying customers by making the gamer run worse, raping the cpu and SSDs.
>does fuck all to stop pirates who get it cracked in literally days now
>we need to keep this system in place for the benefit of the company
Reading this tell me, how is ANY consumer supposed to like denuvo? What "value" does it offer to the paying customer?
What value does it offer to the company using it? Unless they wanted less sales.
nice
>make awful RPGmaker game for mobile console
>it sucks
>port it to PC
>expect it to not suck
????
Yo bro, let me sell you this guard dog solution to protect your house form robbers.
>dog sleeps while robbers just waltz in and take everything
>dog also mauls your children and snaps at your legs when you try to enter your own house
>dog also shits and pisses all over your house
WTF why do people hate this guard dog solution?! Don't they understand robbers need to be kept out?!
Can you report threads for blatantly lying?
Threads blatantly lying are pretty common somehow.
u wot?
>One of the most boring and overhyped Jrpg of the gen is coming to steam, yay!
I can't wait to see people realize how shit this game is.
Clever bait.
the guy who didnt pirate a game is the poor one?
Tf is going on in here?
I have a great computer and I buy all my games so I'm not worried about it having denuvo. Must be hard being a poor cock sucking faggot OP.
It's boring overrated shit, I really tried to love it, but it's just plain boring.
Gameplay is good, visual are goods, music is ok, and that's it.
It's a Jrpg with no story other than 8 cliche "side quests", your eight characters have no reasons to be together, they don't interact with each other aside from little dialogues "a la tales of".
It gets boring and repetitive real quick.
>the fact that it doesn't protect any game that uses it
Where's Handball 17 crack then?
If the GAMEplay is good then the GAME must be good, no?
it's literally 8 RPGmaker games glued together with pretty visuals and music
the combat is the only remarkable part about the game, but despite being clearly derivative of the bravely default system it's mostly a straight dumbing down of said system
Did they fix the gameplay issues with it?
JUST LIKE I PLAYED RETRO FUCKING GAMES AND IM NOT ALLOWED TO CRITICIZE MARIO 26 AND CASUAL NINTENDO GAME BECAUSE THEY ARE MEDIOCRE COMPARED TO GAMES IN THEIR PAST
what is your definition of "RPGmaker" retard
>denuvo
this gives me hope for smt5 in 3 years or so
>implying denuvo is ever a challenge, and not just a waiting game
kys retard.
basic overworld gameplay that doesn't go beyond player node interacting with NPC/object nodes and occassionally screenwiping into battles, inventory management, or scripted cutscenes
"but user" you might be asking, "Isn't that 90% of JRPGs?"
You'd be right to say this, other-user. Most JRPGs are literally basic enough to be made by random schmucks in RPGmaker, which is why there's got to be so much pressure on them for not doing anything interesting.
>dog analogy
Well I'm happy for you. It's a good game
>make it simple for simpletons
>waaah it's not the same thing at all
sounds like you just hate JRPGs in general
There's more to games than gameplay, especially in a JRPGs, which are repetitive by nature.
I can't believe I was about to get an SX injector. I'm running out of single player games to download for the Switch that aren't on PC.
Octopath focus and succeeds in having an actually good and deep battle system.
Since poorfags
maybe to someone who's only ever played incredibly simple jrpgs, but as mentioned by the battle system is incredibly derivative of their previous bravely default games, only more shallow since it's weighted towards the player winning instead of being a neutral system that affects the whole battle and can punish the player for fucking up
Awesome, can't wait - because I don't partake in tinfoil hat denuvo delusions.
Saves me buying a switch too. Can continue my streak of avoiding garbage nintendo hardware.
man, people really fucking hate this game since that dunkey video huh
>1-2 small similarities means derivative
yeah okay
and what are all the turn based RPGs you know that have a better battle system than Octopath?
hello sonygoy
dont be fooled it's probably exclusively sonygroids shitposting
His Octopath, KH3, and XB2 videos were all shit (though XB2 is mediocre for different reasons). And he somehow liked FFXV too.
Based Squarebro always looking out for the PC crowd.
he liked p5, ffxv and nier automata
he only shat on kh3, xb2 and octopath
No physical, no buy. Download code in a box doesn't count.
I'll be pirating. The fact that Switch got a physical release but not PC proves that they see PC as nothing but a bunch of brainwashed corporate cock sucking Valve and digital distribution drones that throw money away for nothing. Not me, I'm one of the few real PC gamers.
go play ff tactics thank me later then tactics ogre you're done don't play anything else it's fucking shid
His KH3 video was on point and he got some things right about OT too, The narration is absolute shit and the characters stories are boring cliche they go through alone.
>3
>anywhere near on point
KH3 was an absolute disgrace, you can't refute any of the major issues he points out.
But please, be my guest, explain to me where he was wrong.
>please explain to me why the flat earth theory is wrong
The battle system of Octopath blows Bravely Dogshit out of the water.
would have been a fun game if the story and characters came together in any meaningful way.
>paying money for a proof of concept
>He's wrong, but I won't tell you why.
Yeah, that's what I thought, you can't.
uuuh i dont want to buy it if im stuck with the dub??
>DENUVO CONFIRMED
Not for me.
Proof? All the denuvo games say they have a 3rd part drm underneath the languages. This game doesn't
denuvo literally runs your games in a VM you stupid retard
>mixels
>All the denuvo games say they have a 3rd part drm underneath the languages.
store.steampowered.com
store.steampowered.com
There are probably more, but you get the idea.
>DRM has made people lose games they have paid for every single time the company eventually dissolves
>but it wont happen with denuvo because I trust them
Ok retard
A shitpost is a shitpost, even in video form.
>sounds like you just hate JRPGs in general
Most games in every genre are bad. That's why most people only care about the standouts and not mediocre crap like Octopath.
And the reception to those videos is the whole reason he completely changed his format to being a retarded Yahtzee, all because the internet's favorite thing right now is being outraged and furious about everything, thanks Yea Forums
Yep, still can't.
Yep, you're still seething.
The first week of a game's life is the most important.
Take your time, I'll wait a bit so you can do your research.
cope
It also executes the game in an obfuscated vm. That's is complete overkill for ""protection"" that lasts for maybe a week.
Almost if not all the JRPGs that are considered "standouts" also fit your "RPGmaker" description, so what the fuck are you babbling about?
THANKS FOR BETATESTING SWITCH FAGS
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
What'd he complain about?
He's been doing that for a while, though.
it's the only real open world RPG this gen, if you hate linear RPGs that railroad you hard, and hate it that you can't steal from/fight with NPCs in JRPGs, try this game.
Meh. Chocobo Dungeon when?
>no longer have to buy a switch and get the game for free at the same time
AW YISSS
As someone who paid full price for it, it's a very generic JRPG whose only selling points are the post processing effects and being Switch exclusive with Xenoblade 2 as its only real competition (also disappointing). I can't see people enjoying it on steam, combat drags and the party/story sucks. It's more manageable when you can play for 30 minutes at a time and put the system to sleep in between, but there are dozens of superior JRPGs on PC.
>very generic JRPG
How many JRPGs puts you in a semi open world that lets you fight random NPCs and progress the story in your own pace, not to mention the battle system?
Stop calling Octopath "generic", it's the opposite of generic if anything.
Let's see.
Cut scenes are many and some of the worst one we've seen in ages.
And this is fact, they're terribly paced with 3 seconds pauses between each lines, absolutely garbage voice acting and unending retarded exposition. I still can't believe those came out from Square fucking Enix in a massive AAA game.
The quasi totality of the game is garbage filler with many worlds being literal rerun of popular Disney movies, but uglier, with some black dudes spewing nonsense about darkness here and there and a retard pressing fast forward on the remote. Literally nothing matters between the beginning of the game and the last section. Sora becomes also clinically retarded and seems to forgot what he's even doing. Nothing is at stake, nothing matters.
They then dump all the actual plot in the last hour of the game, which doesn't feel rushed at all.
Gameplay isn't bad, with a lot of variety, but mainly consists in mashing X and triangle.
You have to be a pretty hardcore fanboy to think this was a great game.
You should give his video a watch because he illustrates his points pretty well, it's no surprise a lot of people seethed.
Since always. Makes games run worse and increases loading times.
Game is very mediocre desu, i don't see it making bank on steam
And yet Nintendownies are the ones desperate enough to come up with rumours like Switch ports of MHW, TW3, P5, and Dark Souls Trilogy.
>it's the only real open world RPG this gen
There's SaGa Scarlet Grace, but it's SaGa, and we all know how Square loves releasing SaGa in the west.
Mediocre would've been a better descriptor. It feels bland- it tries some new stuff but the party feels like a bunch of random people forced together, individual character stories vary significantly in their quality, and general pacing sucks. To me it's on the level of Setsuna/Lost Sphear. Not bad, but only worthwhile for the nostalgiafriend who's already played everything else worthwhile in the genre. It's not a shitty game or anything, but I really don't think it would've done well if it wasn't for the system/launch circumstances. Again, I say this as someone who bought the game full price and have owned a switch since day one.
According to launch threads it's the best JRPG EVAR
You can't judge a game purely based on the "story" and ignore the fact it has one of the better turn based battle systems out there with a ton of different boss battles. Gameplay first.
If you stop giving them attention this wouldn't happen don't you think?
Just emulate it. I understand when someone wants proper ports for (3)DS, Wii and Wii U games, since they all have some gimmicks (2 screens, motion controls) that are annoying when you emulate them, but Golden Sun wasn't one of them. GBA is also emulatable on pretty much everything.
The combat system in World of Final Fantasy is more interesting than Octopath, especially once you add in the flexibility of blank space abilities and transfigging for building stacks. Octopath has relatively little endgame content too so there's limited appeal even if you play purely for the battles. Grab Maxima and you have a bunch of postgame dungeons, intervention quests, coliseum fights and all that good stuff. Romancing SaGa 2 is on Switch too and is a better purchase, and those two examples are just within the Switch JRPG library. Like I said, there are dozens of superior RPGs available on PC. Check out Voidspire Tactics.
people can't mod boobies in
the switch port of RS2 is pretty bad though.
No way FF has a better battle system than Octopath. And the way you unironically claim that Octopath has "little" endgame content is laughable and shows you haven't actually played the game. Bringing up Voidspire's battle system is also comparing apples to oranges.
Like are you actually going to elaborate on anything or just going to keep on saying "this is better than x because I said so"?
only time a food analogy has been acceptable
