I was there at GDC when it was being presented as just Nvidia Shield. They did make it, but it didn't sell or get enough push. The Switch is the handicapped result.

this is objectively false. Shield Tablet had the Tegra k1 chip inside of it. The X1 in the Switch is vastly more powerful.

The X1 is really only in the Pixel C tablet but that overheated like shit. The only other mainstream X1 is the Nvidia Shield console which is not portable. The Switch does an impressive job with one of the most graphically powerful ARM SoCs on the market. Fuck your pseudo-intellectual dismissal of this. And Fuck you.

It's almost there, but it's so half baked. Who ever actually sorts their games by publisher? Ubisoft can't even decide if their games are made by Ubisoft or UbiSoft.
Meanwhile people are willing to void all warranty so they get basic features like copying saves to an sd card, and custom themes. I paid for this bullshit and I have to use free community mods to fix this. It's like bethesda made a console.
