What are some good pre-built pcs you guys recommended? Also, is this a good one to get? I can spend between 600$-1,000$ for just the desktop.
Pre-Built PCs
i've bought one off cyberpower
about all i can say is it hasn't blown up and killed me
it's almost always better to build one yourself, prebuilts usually skimp on the power supply, ram, and mobo
stop being bitch and just assemble it yourself
>doesn't say what processor it uses
>doesn't say how much RAM there is
>doesn't say what MOBO it uses and what USB ports it has
user, you clearly don't know anything about computers if you're sharing this image and asking us what we think.
Good news though is that they're incredibly easy to build, everything snaps together like Lego's, and you'll save hundreds and hundreds of dollars doing it, while coming out with the knowledge of how to fix and upgrade your PC along the way.
Head over to /g/ and r/buildapcsales. You'll be much happier when you finish your build and see that pirated copy of Windows boot up.
Get a laptop
My last prebuilt skimped all 3 of those components and it ended up costing much more. Should've built my own PC
This
There's also a billion pc building videos with every combinations of components that you could think of.
Here are the specs
why are you looking at prebuilts? Sites like pcpartpicker make it so easy to make sure your parts are all compatible and it only takes like an hour to build.
I used to do shit myself and then I got both old & lazy. I don't need a behemoth anymore; A $1,000 tower does everything that I need for it to do for at least 5 years and stretched out to 7-8 years if need be.
Building stuff was cool before 2000 but nowadays? That's like bragging that you know how to make webpages with CSS.
What's the price, and why are you scared of building your own?
500w power supplies on a prebuilt pc are always trash, unless someone in the reviews mentions the power supply's brand, it's probably chinese shit.
Also, what's the motherboard?
If I were to build a PC, what are the parts that I absolutely can't afford to be cheap on?
You say this, yet it takes too much effort for you, so you'd rather get bumfucked by shit parts and pay more.
>i7
>1060
lol
1100, and I don't want to fuck it up. Been wanting a pc for 8+ yrs now.
500w, its trash, thinking of swapping that part out.
$1100 for a fucking 1060 build? are you insane?
GPU and an SSD
Then I'd say PSU and CPU
ram timings really only matter if you're buying ryzen, and since you're asking this I know you won't be doing any advanced shit, so you can buy a cheapo motherboard.
Check out for more info/help on picking parts
You can build that PC with a tower you like that isn't cringe, better parts, and for cheaper.
>and I don't want to fuck it up
It's near impossible to fuck up unless you're a retard. Everything just slides in and locks. The only scary part is locking in your CPU. You feel like it's going to break, but it won't.
Wow I was actually expecting replies saying PSU. Thanks friend.
>unless you're a retard
just remember that he is posting on Yea Forums about pc advice :^)
Check logical increments, they've got a $1100 tier. No peripherals though
So did I when I built my first pc 7 years ago.
If I could build it in under an hour with no problems just following along a video so can he.
what the hell are those tiers, they don't value RAM worth shit and they're matching GPUs with CPUs twice as powerful as they can even make use of
the whole point of having money is to pay for shit you don't want to do yourself
>friend wants pre-built
>tell him he can save a few hundred and get better quality items
>"Ooohh but I don't have enough time (I'm not confident in assembling the adult version of legos)"
>reassure him that I'm a brainlet in that subject and it's easy especially with sites like pcpartpicker
>ends up buying a pre-built
>fans are cheap, psu is some chinese bomb, has windows 10, cheap hard drive
>ends up complaining to me after having it for a few months
I remember Dell had a sweet deal back in the day.
Q6600
4GB of ram
Nvidia 8800GT
2x 1440x900 monitors
All for I believe $800-880 USD.
>no overclockable CPU
>a fucking 1060 in 2019
>ever buying prebuilt
dude holy shit, how many time do we have to tell people to NOT buy pre built jesus fucking christ
they never specify the ram speed, mobo model or the PSU certification, most of the time they cheap out the PSU which is one of the MOST vital components on your rig just what the fuck is wrong with you people, just buy the parts and build it yourself it is NOT hard at all
go to and ask for help, they will be more than happy to help you out set up your build and even put the thing together, tho for that i would recommend checking out youtube building PC guides, anything works as long as you don't watch the verge's pc building guide
shit is what you will be paying for, 1060 and a fucking i7, what the fuck
buy an steam machine user
guarantee there's a shop in his city he can just dump all the parts in and get it set up for $50, too
Is that 1100 USD?
I had that. only got1 1600x900 instead of a 1440x900 combo though. best XP pc I ever had. playing crysis like nobody's business.
^this
laptops are literally the only justificable pre-built because "muh mobility"
>wait 8 years for an ebin gamer pc
>fuck it up by wasting your money on a shitty prebuilt
I can't imagine the (lack of) logic you used to decide this was a good idea. If you're willing to wait that much time saving up, you might as well have researched and prepared to do it properly and build it yourself.
not even that, there are websites dedicated to build the PC for your with the parts you choose and then ship the rig to you
Unless you plan to travel a lot laptops are literally the worst choice
Same here, I was a little faggot in high school and finally got my own PC. I checked the tracking history every damn day. Time fuckin flies.
prebuilts are based op and your pic is a good one
ignore the seething Yea Forumsedditors in this thread
If money is no object then you pay someone to personally build you one, it will still be better than a prebuilt.
I know spoonfeeding is homosexual buuut
pcpartpicker.com
It's $1100 but still better alternative than that shit u posted in pic
Literally anything. Wasting a ton of time and money building some superPC that just runs fucking Yea Forums storygames is a waste. Get a cheap low-end, low-power PC and enjoy old, good games.
yeah, I doubt there's a component vendor out there that doesn't offer it, it's free fucking money
Then use pcpartpicker to find the parts you want and then pay some computer guy to assemble it locally. However there is some joy in assembling a PC and turning it on the first time. It's easier than doing car repairs at least Nvidia, Intel, AMD, etc. keep their shit similar. Jumping from Toyota to Jeep to Ford or whatever can be a bitch to the point you have to relearn some things.
Agree on the RAMs, I guess they were having options for cash saving but aren't aware of current RAM usage. GPUs/CPUs are okay since usually you'd switch GPUs faster than CPUs
If you're gonna go prebuilt then pick a website that lets you choose the parts that go inside. If you don't know what's in the machine outside of the Graphics Card and how much RAM it has you're just begging to get ripped off.
i mean what is its price? My buddy finally upgraded his toaster. He got a fucking monster of a rig prebuilt with a new monitor keyboared and mouse and a free game for just under $1,200 on Cyber Monday. So if you can wait until then i recommended it.
>spics increase in percentage on Yea Forums over the past half decade
>suddenly, threads such as these that would otherwise get the OP laughed at and saged to death are wholly supported.
Hmmmmmmm. What a coninkydink, doncha think?
>pre-builts
you motherfucker, they're literal scams filled with bloatware. Build your own
I bought a "Ibuypower" one of the IT people at work suggested the brand. It works for what I need. Name is kinda cringy but if you want a solid pre-built it aint a bad option
Yeah, if they're setups made with keeping the CPU over an upgrade it's alright, but if we're talking a one and done, best possible build for X dollars kind of deal, those processors are ludicrously overpowered.
based retard anime poster
its what he deserves, i hope your mocking him about it daily
>tfw my 9 year old prebuilt is still kicking
based prebuilts
The fact when we're playing multiplayer games and I'm already loaded in the game thanks to SSD and he's still waiting with his chinese HD teases him a lot.
>What are some good pre-built pcs
pic related is the only one worth getting.
based user
>1100 for a budget GPU
>worth getting
based retard
a 1660-ti is so much better, but an i7? And non-k at that? Why? It's already overpowered, but spending $300 on a CPU that doesn't even have decent clock speeds? Why? And what the hell would this motherfucker ever do with a $200 mobo? Just get some random AM4 board and a 2600x and you're down at least $200 with fuckall performance hit.
dont reply to bait user
>one TERABYTE
always gets me
Can I ask for your help, Yea Forumsros?
I recently got a nice 1 year contract for a gaming streaming platform and I need to get a good PC so I can stream 1080p and 60 fps, I am very illiterate in the build your own pc stuff, what setup would you recommend if my budget is 1.5 - 2k USD? I am going to use the PC specifically for streaming no 3D rendering like Maya or Blender no After Effects just good ol' OBS and games with the spec requirement of a MOBA more than anything. Thank you very much for your help in advance!
TOR forums were the golden age. Shame it killed Yea Forums in the process.
>gaming streaming platform
does this mean they stream the games to your computer, or like you're a streamer?
Almost forgot: Would be be better to just get a current gen gaming laptop seeing? I don't mind either of both options but I guess the built PC could be cheaper than the lap
>200$ motheboard for a non overclockable CPU
>no SSD
this is probably worse than the prebuilt one
I am the streamer, just need to use their platform and create original and exclusive content for them and they pay me monthly aside of the donations and usual shenanigans
Currently looking at this, want to play MHW at 1080p/60FPS

Is this a good build or am I getting meme'd? Anything I could swap to make it sub 1k USD?
pretty cool user.
I'll try to make a build between 1.5k-2k and post it in a few minutes for you.
Do you also need a monitor, keyboard, mouse, and headset? also might be worth checking out which is a general for helping people pick parts.
got this for $800
5 minute installation after unpacking it
fuck assembling it yourself like a peon
For 2k you could buy a fucking super computer.
Just buy top of the line everything but monitor since you're only doing 1080p 60fps and you'll be fine.
just get a new i7-whateverthefuck-k and the best GPU you're willing to buy with the remainder
though honestly unless you're doing the security guard shtick or have a meme screen going above a vega 56 or 2060(I'd even say 1660-ti) is kind of completely fucking pointless
There was a PC at Walmart with a 2070+ 2600, 16 Gb was going for $700, because Walmart fucked up the pricing
>2.8GHz
Get 16 rams nigga
I really appreciate it bro, if you want a fre copy of risk of rain 2 let me know!
I bought an R5/RX580 Dell a year or so back for like $800
I mostly play pixelshit anyway so I'm not worried about upgrading any time soon
it's just fine for $800 you elitist nigger
I don't play top of the line games anyway
Corsair One if you can get one of the older models on the cheap.
They managed to integrate water-cooling into a sleek small form factor case that I really like.
Needs more RAM and you could swap the RTX 2060 with a cheaper 1660TI if you're trying to save money, other than that it's fine.
pcpartpicker.com
here you go user, no need to thank me
Then why are you choosing a shitty prebuilt lmao. Just pay someone to make a 10k PC
He clearly WANTS to pay for a prebuilt, he's just posting for someone to validate his choice. Let him waste his money, he'll later realize what he did eventually. Some lessons can only be learned once you empty your wallet on something you don't need.
It's happened to me, it's happened to you, it's happened to every one of us, not necessarily with computers only.
>Needs more RAM
I know this is a retarded question, but I just buy two 8GB sticks then? Also is there a noticeable difference between say, 2666MHz and 2800MHz/3000MHz RAM?
Also what's the deal with GPU manufacturers? Any I should avoid?
I bet you that UI isn't even VR compatible. 3/10
>i5-9600k ($260)
>and OC mobo ($50+)
>and a fucking $100 cooler
>for 60hz
>$400 CPU for 60 hz
pcpartpicker.com
Just a few notes:
Heavy multitasking can make use of multiple cores, which is why I chose to go with ryzen over intel.
The motherboard I picked is pretty high end and you might not necessarily need all the functions it provides If you'd like to cut down on costs, hop on over the logicalincrements.com and look for cheaper motherboards and then go type them into pcpartpicker and if the site doesn't give you any compatibility issues you should be good to go.
The ram is expensive, but that's because ryzen CPUs benefit greatly from high ram speeds. I'm not 100% sure how taxing streaming will be, but I assume 16gb is enough. Might want to look that up though just to double check.
Having an SSD is very important since it exponentially speeds up read and write access (things will open faster, and loading screens will be more than halved). 1tb is not that much storage anymore, but you can decide to add more hard drives for general storage, or another SSD if you want to store games on it. If you want another hard drive, 7200RPM is the fastest type.
I'm not sure what kinds of games you are playing, but the GPU is the most important part of the build since it will be doing the bulk of the work. You can downgrade this a little bit if the games you're playing aren't very graphically demanding.
Not much to say about the power supply, it's pretty standard and you always want a fully modular one.
Again, case is fairly standard although you can get much cheaper if you don't care about what it looks like.
Obviously, if you need to buy a monitor and peripherals you'd either need to squeeze those out of your remaining budget, or maybe cut back some costs on the build, which I would recommend since your monitor especially is very important.
if you've got a spare copy of ror2 sitting in your inventory I'd love it! id/mangooooooooo
don't buy it just for me though
lol just noticed I accidentally selected RGB ram which made it even more expensive than it needed to be.
Here's a part list without rgb which saves you like $20 pcpartpicker.com
yeah just get two 8gbs, maybe even four if you're feeling frisky
get EVGA for the 3-year warranty
Why would he ever need 32gbs of ram?
I ask Chrome that every day.
I just walked my friend through a build allow me to regale the thread with this amusing greentext anecdote.
>bff breaks up with fiance
>wants new gaymin PC
>previously bought a shittop X Gaymur Edition that can't run any gaems
>I offer to help
>We go to the store and spec out top of the line because he has money
>Get the "premium" installation that includes them updating all the shiz
>Spend 1 hour trying to find a case that fits 390 triple fan AIO cpu water block
>Decide to go with the smaller dual fan block because fug
>His new cc is declined spend an hour on with customer service before the transactions goes
>Chill at the in-store cafe while they build
>Check on the build
>Salesman "Takes 2-3 days for le updates"
>Fuck that just slap the hardware in we update ourself
>Talk to some nerdy PC kid who is actually doing the work
>Bruh plz
>He smiles and brings over the boot partition drive and hooks us up
>Bring PC home hook it up
>Spend 9 hours gaming after being at the store for 7 hours
>MFW his face lights up
>MFW he is getting happy
>MFW I helped a friend get over a tough breakup with gaymin
>MFW I got my bro back
>TVs are so light anymore you can do these things
Even if it did fall it wouldn't hurt. Can't wait to see what tvs are like in another 10 years.
>bff
stopped reading there
having friends is cool you should try it sometime
Kys retarded faggot
letsbld.com/BLD
I think about it all the time but now that I have my friend back....
>pic related
you could get a better build for cheaper if you bought the parts and paid someone to build it
you sound like you want his dick in your pooper you homon
I wish I had a computer store near me
I don't mean to be judgmental, but seriously what the fuck is wrong with the nips
just buy a bigger apartment
