damn if only they worked for 60 more hours a week

Should I get my hopes up at all once it inevitably comes to PC? I keep hearing people say they ruined the online, but no specifics.

RDR:O being a flop actually makes me worry that there definitely won't be a PC port. People said R* definitely wouldn't pass up on the chance to make more money, considering GTA:O seemed to do really well on PC. But this shit failed on CONSOLES.

I'm scared.

>didn't launch with the game
>people finished the game long before it c ame out
>no one fucking plays it now
GO
FUCKING
FIGURE. I'll never understand why companies do this. Hold the game back an extra 3 months, for fucks sake. Anything you don't have out at launch won't ever get seen, period. This was, is, and forever will be an issue. People rarely if ever go back to games they've beaten.

how about this: fuck multiplayer

>he doesn't have friends

>he thinks the people he plays online multiplayer with are his friends
cringe

>Rockstar online games.
>Ever good.
Remember how you can't steal player cars or blow them up in GTAV because that would be "griefing"?

we go out and get food and see movies together. is that not enough to consider someone your friend?

Rockstar are woefully incompetent at creating fun multiplayer experiences

you can blow them up, but the game makes you pay for their replacement.

Based

Greedy fucks, good riddance.

GTA online's doing well and that was shit and lacking content for a long time

Didn't really care too much about rdr2. How did they fuck up the multiplayer?

the problem isnt the game, its entitled gamers

Max payne 3 was the last good rockstar multiplayer game

Make bigger fucking playercount on the server.
Stop locking everything behind retarded grindfest.

>but no specifics.
they literally created the Hell of video games. like, if you die in real life, you go to red dead 2 online. and it's really where you don't want to be,

can someone give me the quick rundown on why it sucks

>first time online
>playing multplayer for a few hours now
>guy tries to run me over an shoots at me from his car
>sticky grenade his car
>win encounter
>30,000 YOINKED from my wallet to pay for his car insurance
>now broke
w-wow t-thanks rockstar for letting me live my crime breaking fantasies by paying for a randos car insurance

meant for

This is where you start buying shark cards.

>30,000 YOINKED from my wallet to pay for his car insurance
Its never anywhere close to that much, its a couple thousand at most

The experience is pretty agonizing for multiple reasons that I could go on about but I'll try and sum it up.
There isn't shit to do in RDR online's world aside from RDM and hunt or fish also, there is no means to socialize with other players in a peaceful way so everyone just guns each other down most of the time. This in turn causes hunting and fishing to be a potential waste of time because people with wait around and shoot you when you're nearing a town sometimes.
The biggest crime to me is that there aren't any servers with autoaim disabled and for me I can't stand playing with it or against it.

I'm sure much of this will be updated as the playerbase dies, but pray that you'll be able to disable autoaim on PC and it has a lot of potential despite all that.

Online multiplayer was the only part I enjoyed in RDR1, good to see Rockstar is shamelessly failing at cashing in on it

everyone will use mouse aim on PC and it will be great. They just need to add some MP specific mission shit, more content

>Remember how you can't steal player cars or blow them up in GTAV because that would be "griefing"?

It's worse than that, far worse. Rockstar are all about the griefing because they think it will sell microtransactions.

You can't steal Personal Vehicles in any meaningful sense, you can be kicked out of them and they can be teleported to the owner's location. Muggers can steal them and will drive them around, but despawn at a certain range from players. You can destroy them, which earns you "Bad Sport Points" which can accumulate and get you sent to Bad Sport Sessions with other Bad Sports, which kind of sucks when someone keeps attacking you in a vehicle.

Rockstar wants you to destroy vehicles though, because the Insurance cost will drain your bank account, and if you spend any money on ammo to do it, then all the better; you'd better be prepared to pay your digital shekels for trying to protect yourself.

K:D has no place in an open world game (a sandbox this is not) but they put it in so that shitters will run around in passive mode, or a fighter jet (or both!) trying to score cheap kills to pad a stat that is meaningless.

Seriously, all of the griefer-friendly mechanics in this game have made it borderline unplayable, I'm not surprised people aren't playing RDO, they've probably heard of GTAO's reputation by now and know what to expect.

You don't pay much but yeah that was the stupidest shit about insurance and thank god for modders abusing it so hard that Rockstar actually got rid of that shit.

Why can't Rockstar just make a normal fucking first person camera without having it jerk all over the place for the sake of being "cinematic"?

Attached: 1548625176329.png (965x810, 1.37M)

>Rockstar are woefully incompetent at creating fun multiplayer experiences

This. GTAIV Multiplayer was really hit and miss, but at least the experimental nature of it meant that when it worked (, Mafiya Work and Cops vs Crooks especially) it was pure kino. GTA Online was ruined by microtransactions; Shark Cards are the carcinogen behind most, if not all of the horrible design decisions.

>This is where you start duplicating cars and trading Bogdan glitches.

ftfy

because it wasn't designed as a first person game

>Rockstar actually got rid of that shit.

Only on PC. It's capped at GTA$20,000 for most vehicles on console and GTA$10,000 for weaponised vehicles.

To make it more immersive
It's fine as long as everyone has to play in first person, otherwise it's a huge handicap

If they wanted at least a somewhat better experience online the matchmaking wouldn't be so atrocious and they would do more to incorporate jobs in the free roam

Rockstars matchmaking services are legendarily terrible tho and probably won't change

>go online
>do anything
>get shot
Yeah, not wild enough alright

Jetpacks and stunt horse races will save Red Dead Online.

>Why can't Rockstar just make a normal fucking first person camera without having it jerk all over the place for the sake of being "cinematic"?

It's intended to convey the movement of your character's head. A big deal about the animations in the game are all the inverse-kinematic stuff that makes the character movement look fairly natural, so of course they don't want that work to go to waste when you're in first person.

The worst part is the cheesiest best gun is the fucking varmint rifle

>Sacrificing playability fore muh cinematic realism

Yeah, they can fuck off with that bullshit.

>This is where you and everybody you interacted with gets banned and will have to rebuy the game
Rockstar always wins baby.

>get player to kill my horse repeatedly and hundreds of lawmen over a few hours
>he has lost hundreds and is probably -1000 in debt through bounty

If only rockstar knew you can’t beat greifers. Maybe they’d make the game funner for everyone. ,:)

It's not a flop retard

>car insurance
I forgot about that lmao
