Spindash fits Sonic and what he does in his games. The way Wario is presented in Smash doesn't articulate his personality, his abilities, his style, nor his legacy.

Smash always uses the newest main game at the time, this isn't something new.

Brawl had stages from Twillight Princess, Mario Sunshine, Metroid Prime, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, Smash 4 had stages form Skyward Sword, DKC Returns, Other M, Wooly World etc...
