Am I the only one? Is this normal for people who grew up with simpler games?

Think you're just mentally stunted, my friend.

Wow rude...

Not to the extent your describing.
>headache whenever there's constant dialogue between the characters
Is something I have never heard about.
But I do feel eyestrain when playing many modern games that have too many flashy particle effects and the like. Clarity seems to be a thing developers sacrifice for flashiness these days.

Not with video games but I stopped going to hollywood movies years ago because I don't want to be bombarded with cacophonous noise and swirling CG images of mass destruction for 4 hours, it leaves me feeling like a bomb went off right next to me.

I'm glad it's not just me. And yeah, whenever characters are chatting and throwing one-liners back and forth while running around a dungeon and blowing stuff up, it gives me a headache because there's too much to focus on. I first saw this system in Persona 3, but it was okay there because the environments were minimalistic and simple.

like moths to a light, Yea Forums is attached to a character called hitori bocchi.

Nah most old people go against new technologies because they're lazy and don't want to adapt, so they feel butthurt against younger people who have an easier life.
Instead it sounds you're just very stupid or have something wrong with your brain if you seriously get headaches. Go see a doctor if you're not a burger who goes into debt just because he tried to not die.

I did have a stroke when I was a baby that left me brain-damaged lmao
I'll never be a grumpy old man who hates technology though, advancing technology is key to improving quality of life for the human race.

Rent free.

Sounds like you legitimately have a sensory processing disorder of some kind.

>first person game
>get to low health or get some kind of status effect
>edges of the screen fucking explode with some shitty effects for more than a second
Instant uninstall.

Also

I haven't been diagnosed with any sensory processing disorders, per se, but I was diagnosed with Dyspraxia when I was 3.

you sound incredibly mentally stunted yourself.

are you cute girl? please show me your nipples

Stop posting my wife.

I didn't know people born in the late 80s were getting old.

FPS used to give me nausea. But I pushed through and now I can play them with no issues. Man power.

Isn't Dyspraxia a sensory processing disorder?

making friends with the autistic girl out of pity!
