Dex and Luck. Learn physical abilities

Stop putting points in Strength, it only increases your basic attack with a very minor boost to all physical and gun skills.
Dump into Dex if you want physical, as it increases all physical and gun skills.
Keep agility at a respectable level, but you don't need to go overboard.
Luck is also another stat to may want to look at throwing some points in.

Alignments are purely based on choices made throughout the story iirc. It also doesn't lock you out of demons or anything like in 1. If you want to see what alignment you're on there's a guy that appears in all of the bars who describes your personality. Though I don't think he shows up until you get to mid-game.

You should dump everything on STR on every SMT, even DeSu1 on the ds

Not Mag or Int that's for sure. STM and STR really, SPD is nice as well. SMT1 is all about keeping Hero alive more than dishing major dmg with him (though he can still deal good dmg).

Nah they can use magic, same for the heroine as well. Law Hero and the Heroine get some good magic spells, so making them mages is the best. Chaos Hero also has magic, but they're low tier spells iirc. So it's up do you whether to make him Strength, Tank, Mage etc. Only the player character is a magiclet.

I for one would be happy just to see a DeSu in 3D. I don't know how the sales went for the series, but I think it'd do pretty damn well nowadays. Social Link like aspects in the Fate System for Personafags, and a relatively engaging story all around. I don't know how well it sold so we might not get another one though. 4F was a big new revelation in the series it was the first time YHVH was definitively killed
and the climax took two messiah protagonists going into his own domain and observing his existence to give him a killable demon form to do it for good even SMT 2 still had him shit talk after getting his face pushed in I doubt he would be brought back so soon after a big climactic event like that, hell you even got the Steven fight with all the protagonists together. 4F endgame pretty much all felt like a culmination of the series so far into something grand and conclusive in a way. Its not weird to wonder where they would go from there without assuming Atlus would decidedly take a step beck and ramp everything down a bit to a smaller scale story (which might be interesting if they seriously explore the divine powers as a faction and mix things up from the usual formula).
Honestly now that YHVH is taken care of it would be anti-climactic to go back to him after Final ended him so completely and satisfyingly, I'd imaging in order to ramp it up from here if they were going that route we would continue from Nocturnes True demon End and go after the Axiom itself.

Steven actually implied differently in that game you even fought a horde of ever single one of the countless YHVH in existence at once. Steven actually says you should watch out for the Axiom and whatever BS it would pull if you got so bad it felt the need to interfere like it did with YHVH. The whole point of the game was to end him hell it was even called Final in Japan as in the end of an arc.
