Why hasn't anyone called them out on their shit, and why has no reviewer slammed them? Honestly Nintendo and it's subsidaries have a quality standard bar, and pokemon hasn't met that in years.

I agree that the series has lots of problems, but how would you do the battle system differently? Real time would be awful since you'd still be inputting commands for your mon to do It is annoying how whenever this shit is brought up you get braindead fanboys shouting "OH SO YOU WANT AN EMPTY BORING OPEN WORLD ASSASSIN'S CREED COLLECTATHON HUH?" No you fucking mong, we just want more than the corridor walking sim we currently have. You could have the exact same formula we have now with random battles and needing 8 badges while opening up the world. Make environments worth exploring. Some people want the ability to challenge gyms in whatever order they'd like, and while that would be neat it has some obvious problems. You could have levels scale with the number of badges you have, but that would be strange with wild pokemon whether they leveled or didn't. Also some gym leaders are just meant to be stronger than others and that wouldn't really work if you could challenge them at level 15 Sure there are challenges, but they're not impossible. I don't care if they don't have a rock-papers-scissors balance, it would offer the player an interesting rp choice and the game could easily be balanced despite that. But they don't want to balance shit, they keep creating a new pidgey and a new rattata for every gen.
