It sure is, it's impossible for the audio to work right unless you follow a specific number of steps every single time you start the game. I've tried playing it a bit but it was more annoyances than it's worth, the game didn't seem to live up to the original

I've had problems running Klonoa 2 on anything except the original disc on a PS2/Early PS3.
Emulated like shit, loading it off an HDD on the PS2 froze every time you hit a shield, playing it as an ISO on a CECHA01 PS3 was missing sound effects but everything worked when I burnt it onto a DVD and played it that way.

I voted for him in the ballot, but seeing how Nintendo's picking the characters this time around then his chances are almost zero. The only way I could see him getting added is if they had plans to revive the franchise and used Smash to finally give Klonoa proper advertising, but let's be real. That's a huge pipe dream.
I know Klonoa's a far bigger never ever than stuff like Simon and Richter, but their inclusion gave me a little bit of hope. After all, Castlevania has been a dead franchise for quite some time outside of the Netflix show. I guess it was still able to get into Smash by virtue of being a huge NES classic rooted in Nintendo, but I still don't want to lose hope.

Klonoa Door to Phantomeel was a game that was released for the original playstation and it has a really weird name.
I mean "Klonoa" and "Huepow"?
Aside from the weird names and the childish nature of the game, the game is pretty fun despite them having weird names.
It also has a pretty good difficulty spike outside of a few bullshit puzzles, and the game has a pretty weird name.
Since this game and its characters possessed such odd and weird names and how childish it appeared, it was probably the reason why the game bombed
