The entire characterisation of the protagonists in GTAV, but especially Franklin. He's meant to be this reasonable "good" boy from the hood who wants to escape the violence and crime but he also just fucking guns down hundreds of people without remorse. The game tries to lampshade it once or twice but that doesn't make it less jarring. At least Trevor and Michael are sociopathic pieces of shit with histories of massacres.

The game should have just been about Franklin and his relationships with Michael and Trevor, where the "morality" system was about choosing between Michael's professional sadism and Trevor's chaotic sadism instead of having them be playable characters. At least then we could have gotten some character development instead of 3 character all being developed as much as one third of a character.

Not only this, but the cool thing about fiction is you are allowed to be attached/like characters who have done reprehensible things. Darthvader is awesome but he killed countless innocents. You don’t have to be bound by your morals in fiction.
