The first Splinter Cell is pretty ehhh by today's standards, but will only take a short time to complete so up to you.
Star Ocean 3 is great, but only if you have a ton of time to put into it. Fantastic battle system, good music and ok plot, but a bit OTT Nip at points.
All the Hitmen are pretty decent.
What I absolutely would recommend is getting FFX and playing that before playing X-2, both together (but particularly the former) are amazing experiences. X-2 on its own however will just be a bit odd.

yeah splinter cell was for nolstagia purposes only.
and I already beat FFX back in the day as well, so its story and ending are still pretty familiar. never got around to this sequal tho.

Worked better when the series had draw distance. Wrath of Heaven is really linear compared to the first two Tenchus for PS1 which dropped you in a sandbox.
