ARAM mode is pretty fun in mobas. 100% action 100% of the time. Same for super-accelerated modes like URF in league.
Cooldowns and the introduction of ranged skills and attacks tends to slow down games drastically either way, especially if those games also try to include melee playstyles alongside.

Just play Arena mode in SMITE. It's a ticket based 5v5 tdm. People go there to play the worst characters and to use the "funnest" builds.
