The Shadow Tower Abyss one.
Aztec souls
cyberpunk souls would be ok too i guess
Chernobyl Exclusion Zone
Pirates
Native Americans
like way pre white man
tribal wars and shit
but play up the supernatural spiritual aspect
spirits and shit, shamans
North American folk lore
Wendigos, sasquatch, chupacabra, etc.
Touhou
A heavenly, astral place.
my peanus weanus of course
SPACE
Heavy sci fi, not cyberpunk trash, though.
Low fantasy 14th century europe
Sci fi.
It annoys me that FromSoftware always has to be known as the Dark Souls company. Aren't they currently making about 2 or 3 games right now? Did anyone play that VR game set in a house? I think it would be best if they did new things that nobody would expect.
Mars, those lazy dead horse beating fucks.
Mesopotamian
Egyptian
Mongols
Chinese three kingdoms
Something Russian
Visigoths
Crusades
Real horror or real FPS I would enjoy. It surprises me that no one ever suggests that From should do horror when the Souls games have tons of atmosphere and interesting bits.
Westeros
They covered Tenchu, what other franchise they have to use as a base?
Eternal ring.
cyberpunk
Star wars. I want a star wars game with sekiro combat as a jedi. L1 to parry blaster bolts, r1 to slash, special moves on l2/r2 etc. Keep posture in vs other jedi or Sith, let it build if you fail a perfect blaster parry etc. Gonna jerk off now while I think about it.
Wild West soulsbornediestwice game
You could very easily have it start of with normal western tropes and end with you encountering native american spirits and demons and shit
the armored core one
ancient offworld
all I want is aztec souls
I wouldn't mind a bleak heavy industrial setting like Blame! Otherwise I dunno if it would still feel like souls.
This.
Dont forget the cannibalism
Chinese wuxia/xianxia setting is literally made for a soulsborne game.
Weird West
Chinese mythology
Aztecs
Ottoman Empire
Acquire the rights to develop a Castlevania game
Nothing. I hate them now. Souls was a fluke and a success probably by a complete blind accident. If they're not copying Berserk, they can't make anything good. It's over for them. Look at the Sekiro mess. wtf was that?
something futuristic
Pseudo-modern.
Something surreal and otherwordly.
Sekiro was boring as fuck setting wise.
Give me some weird shit please. I want to feel what I felt the first time playing Bloodborne.
Fuck you souls fags
I want another Armored Core
armored souls. dark core. take yr pick, it'd be amazing.
This would at least be visually cool. Could also have aspects of hunting games.
Though actually, having something set during the indian wars could be kino as well, playing from the native perspective.
Sekiro is the game of the year though?
Whatever they want. With that being said I was hoping they would draw on more Japanese horror elements in Sekiro, so I hope the DLC can provide some cool looking oni demons and shit before they do anything else.
Europe, musketeers.
Yikes!
Sekiro still had some weird elements, it was just a bit more subdued for the most part.
Middle Earth
>castlevania
this is the correct answer

Sci-fi or modern post-apocalypse
These are redditors right here.
As unlikely as it is, after Sekiro I would love if they were able to make a Samurai Jack game along similar lines. A well-done Aku fight where he randomly shapeshifts into previous bosses and groups of enemies would be fun as hell.
Sekiro is good. Get fucked.
As long as it doesn't involve a heavy focus on guns/ranged, I'm fine with any setting.
Sekiro is among FROM's best games and a worthy GOTY contender. Fuck off, nigger.
>abloo bloo berserk reference
miura is also a hack to stole from ian livingstone
A heaven/hell kind of thing taking inspiration from paintings like The Garden of Earthly Delights by Hieronymus Bosch
I'd like to see them make a decent game for once.
forgot pic
modern america
A castlevaniaĂ—dark souls would be neat to be honest
Instead of create a character just give me different protags I would like Soma Cruz, Simon Belmont, Richter Belmont and Alucard for iconography's sake
Plenty of monsters to use for bosses and dracualas castle is already a easily transferable setting
I think it could be a great view of 3D castlevania
steampunk catworld
A Greek styled souls game would be cool.
Diablo 1 & 2 type of setting
>Introducing Japs (and fujos) to the classical era
I agree it would be cool, but think of the consequences...
Post-apocalypse, way too many games have done it poorly it deserves justice
Combine these
What does a decent game look like to you? Admitting you’re a contrarian is also acceptable.
Souls is literally that tho
Fictional Asia Land, although Sekiro was full of fantasy elements it's still suppossed to take place in Japan. I want a alternative world where they could mix different asian nations in one like they did with Europe in Dark Souls, maybe it could be the place where the katanas came from. But I don't know if Miyazaki could recapture the same feel as one of the inspirations for Dark Souls was looking at european history/art and not understanding a thing
I also like the ideia of a native american Souls Borne Twice game, the would include mesoamerica as well
Huge breasts
Both Souls and Bloodborne are European though. How would musketeers even work? Thats a setting like Dark souls
Create their version of a Fallout world but less survivors, less talking, a more dreaded atmosphere with less tongue-in-cheek humor, no first-person mode, plus make it harder: bullets are very rare and you will have to use melee most of the time.
This actually needs to be done as there is not a single good action adventure game set in greece.
No, I don't want them to make another 3rd person action adventure with 90% Souls DNA in a new "setting". I want them to do something new. Armored Core, narrative VR games, a Paper Mario clone, fucking anything. I want to see them spread their wings and fly instead of being enslaved to autistic Soulsfags.
I was actually thinking of making a horror mod inspired by souls and it difficulty. The only problem is the shit engine
notIndia, I wanna see how crazy they can get with Hindu mythology
Sci-fi
African or Mesopotamian mythology. No more fucking Greeks, no more fucking Scandos, no more fucking Japanese.
Serious question. Aren't you fuckers tired of Demon Souls 8?
>No more fucking Greeks
Ah yes, the overly common greek setting.
GTA Souls
What about Fairy Tales?
a stalker game
I can't think of a fictional medium that hasn't beaten Greece into the fucking dirt.
Examples?
this guy's one of the mini bosses
Assassins Creed Odyssey and God of War just to name 2 examples.
Woah, two whole examples and one that came out last year, yeah that setting is done, it cannot possibly be explored more.
Please be fucking joking. Please tell me I'm taking bait. Here you go:
gamerproblems.net
greece.greekreporter.com
I only picked two at random from the first page of results.
This.
>ship battles, open world sailing
>tropical islands
>voodoo shit
>aztec shit
>tortuga
>mr skeltal's hidden treasure
>catch wild pigs and bbq them for stat boosts
The possibilities are endless.
1980's Miami
I want a full We Wuz Kangz setting, about trying to stop Yakub from making wypipo.
Fuck it, that sounds fun. Or scientology.
I’ve never seen anyone mention it but I think a game set in a desert environment based on the Hindu mythology would be sick, but poos would be so pissed about it
Bonus note:
Nioh shows us how the Diablo loot system feels in a soulslike game. So we can use that game to decide whether or not we should keep that system in Diablourne
>no 2hu soulslike fangame with youmu as the protagonist
get on it, miyazaki
Gonna be weird to say it but I want to see them do something modern. Not futuristic mind you. I dunno I always want to play a game where you work as an exorcist or some shit like that and go around dealing with weird and fucked up spirits. Preferably taking place in Japan because Japanese ghosts are dicks.
Sometimes I wish Let It Die could get rebooted by FromSoft.
>prepare to let it die
The same soulshit everyone's been eating up
Did you read the list because you are proving my fucking point, absolute fucking retard.
Literally 90% strategy games, lackluster indie games and a fucking movie game, kill yourself.
>Armored core
What point? You wanted a list, I gave you two of the many that I found. Change your diaper and go take a nap.
Arabian nights would be fun. If I can't get a new Prince of Persia it would be nice for someone else to take on the setting.
this idea is fucking radical
Just do scifi souls already, tie it to bloodborne.
Ah so you don't even have an argument, kill yourself.
Sekiro’s combat style would have been a perfect for ye olde fisticuffs Kung fu shit. God now I’m filled with the need for something that will never exist.
Too late, bro.
Egyptian influence
Armored Core
Hopefully a gorkamorka game. Couple of Boyz screaming waaaaggghhh in a ramshackle trukk hurtling at the enemy. Shootas, choppas and maybe a giant harpoon.
Yes I do have an argument, and I made it in its entirety. You don't have to like it but I stated it and gave evidence of it. Are you done?
Best answer
>Great set pieces
>Cool weapons
>Neat monsters
>Cool mythology
Sci-fo
Imagine
Area 51
It might as well not exist since you didn't prove anything with what you posted, obscure strategy games don't equal the greek setting being "beaten to the ground", you are a fucking retard.
>here's two lists full of examples
>THAT DOESN'T COUNT
I've never seen anyone get butthurt defending Greek representation. At least you can be original about that, but your auto-trolling needs a lot of work.
Wasn’t wrath of Ashura pretty much that?
Not the other guy
Might as well have specified "there's not enough good games set in Greece" in which case you'd be right, but I'd chalk that up to a lack of variety in the settings of good games
Yeah but not From and the gameplay was hot garbage
Not really, no. There were some allusions to it but it's about as comparable as saying that The Matrix is The Bible in movie form.
Dante's Inferno
Fuck, I'm here thinking of all the Bosses
>Jabberwocky
>Giant from Jack and the Beanstalk
>The Big Bad Wolf
>Puss in Boots
>Momotaro for obligatory exotic japanese character
>The Pied Piper
Not the same thread of posts but you get me.
Also since the thread is about motherfucking action adventure games since that is what from soft has been making, I don't see how you can equate that to the other retard thinking strategy games already exhausted the greek setting
Strategy games are irrelevant in this conversation. I repeat, end your life.
I'd just want them to make an Armored Core game that for once doesn't look like it's freeware and all the buildings are cardboard boxes.
Poison swamp
They're video games. When was the last time moving someone else's goalposts worked for you? It never will, you're just going to have to change your diaper about it.
this
make the entire game black gulch, blighttown, and valley of defilement tier
This thread is about action adventure games as that is what fromsoftware has been making in the past decade, if you cannot fathom how strategy games don't even come close to being relevant to that conversation then there is no point in this, fuck off.
The Surge is already cyberpunk souls
Far future post apocalypse
It has all the same themes that they did so well with Dark Souls, lots of potential for great setpieces like massive machines faithfully carrying out their last instructions futilely in the skeleton of a giant factory warehouse, endless plot and lore potential and a good excuse to focus on something other than the traditional souls gameplay which they seem to want to do lately.
Also make it an Armored Core spinoff game about exploring the ruins of the world to keep your mech repaired and supplied, fighting off monsters and robots and other pilots that want to cannibalize your mech to keep theirs running a bit longer
You didn't start crying about strategy games until I gave you two lists of games about Greece. Again, I'm sorry you don't like that I proved my point but the tantrum you're throwing over it doesn't matter.
You mean like for the first 15 years of the company's life?
People apparently don't know that From existed BEFORE Demon's Souls.
King's Field, Armored Core, Shadow Tower, Echo Night, Spriggan, Otogi, Murakumo, Metal Wolf Chaos, Chromehounds, ACE, they've done a lot of fucking shit that isn't JUST fantasy sword man hack and slash, and until they got to that they just flopped around as a niche company.
You want them to fly, but this is literally them flying. THEY ARE FLYING. RIGHT THE FUCK NOW.
Retarded argument. You're right, there are a lot of games set in ancient Greece, but they're mostly strategy games and the guy realized that he actually wanted action-adventure games. He just never specified, but now he realizes that was important
>post apocalyptic
God that shit is boring. Sekiro was great because it let you live the last moments of Ashina
>You're right, there are a lot of games set in ancient Greece
The end.
BayouSouls?
Dark Creoles
I said it before he posted that
Yeah but it was garbage.
The time period right after the events of Bloodborne
GIVE ME BLOODBORNE 2 ON PC FUCKERS
Fuckin Alice in Wonderland alone can be a game of its own considering all the shit that is in there.
Cowboy/Civil War souls
Best idea so far.
Cartoon-world, ala Who Framed Roger Rabbit
There's a few platformers and racers in the PS1/2 era and that's it
So like Kingdom Hearts 4
I was thinking more like Toontown then just cartoons in general
I said it as a joke but now I legitimately want a FromSoft game taking place in that setting. All the voodoo and mythological creatures that surrounds it is enough to be a game of its own.
>FROM x Frontier Aja Touhouvania 3
FUND IT
Something similar to The City in Blame!
>Toontown
My nigga
It would be the Bloodborne of Fairy Souls
Blade Runner mixed with H.R. Giger
Just make the godamn Aztec-souls already.
Something that takes place in a world similar to New Phyrexia
Boston?
dune
fallen-empire sci-fi mysticism, ala endless legend or hyperion
Cyberpunk, specifically post-cyberpunk, after the inevitable collapse of mega-corporations and civilization cannibalizes itself once resources run out. You can be a customized cyborg sent in to ruined cities that are still working but are overrun with dangerous security robots and corporate military soldiers still loyal to the companies that no longer exist.
Well From only really became modern From in 2016 when Miyazaki became president. Its why they took a few years off to develop something new as opposed to making Dark Souls 4 and Bloodborne 2. I think with a few more new ips under their belt they won't be known as just "That company that made Dark Souls and Bloodborne" anymore.
giant motherfucking robots
Give me that Crusades kino
No one is agreeing with you retard. The game is good and the most polished Fromsoft game to date.
KANG SOULZ
Tell me about Kangz Souls™, user.
Even if Fromsoft never makes a greek mytho game, I'll still be content, since all their games are greek-like, kinda. They always portray Deities being physically involved in human affairs, and the reality of the metaphysical world being accepted as common knowledge by most people. In the worlds they create, one's faith in regard to a or multiple gods is measured more in term of degree of devotion rather than raw belief in their existence.
I'm very bad at wording it, but to me the Souls series always felt incredibly similar to Greek and Roman (or any pagan) mythology, in the way they portray Gods and their relationships with mankind. I'm sure there's a better way to explain it but my english sucks ass.
I dont have enough knowledge of Egyptian lore but I would want an obscure god to be the final boss
space souls
Unironically you could pull what manhunt did and do a mix of horror and urban themes.
Read The game would unironically be really fun with inspiration from mythology across Africa mixed with 21st century KANG pasta.
I'm glad none of you work at From
all underwater PLEASE, i think they nailed the swimming and swimming combat in sekiro
my favorite part of the game was the underwater areas, i wish they did more with them
what a fucking fag holy shit
kek
I wouldn't mind it
Trash bin.
Unironically the next Assassin's Creed.
Clown/circus souls
2021 Europeistan Souls.
yes like dark tower
The Surge barely tackles cyberpunk concepts, I'd hardly consider it cyberpunk. FromSoft couldn't do it properly either I guess, considering their incredibly shitty story writing (not talking about their lore).
>There will never be another Evergrace
FUCKING REEEE
Who are these rest of these? I only recognise King Gainer, Gundam and I think that's Alphonse on the bottom right
based and honkpilled
