Malakas, I guess not!

its okay to like it, its a good game.
but kino? i dont think it deserves that good of 4channel praise

i just started playing it last night. the choice system seems interesting to say the least. does it lead to major consequences?

not at all, unless it has an icon next to it.

its mostly just there to make dialogue more interesting

Combat direction is pure ass, so

It's really weird. Enemies have a billion HP and some attack too fast to react in time for a parry, but it gives you so many special moves that it's fun to try different builds. Everyone compares it to generic Souls combat but it reminds me of Dragon's Dogma more, with specials mapped to each button but requiring a modifier to be held down first

wish i could play it , but its too unoptimized, origins worked 60fps , this shit max 40fps , unplayable

huh. it feels like theyre really turning the series into an RPG. it might be good, but i feel like no one at ubisoft still cant write a good story for shit.

specs? did LowSpecGamer ever release a vid on it?

Is there literally any reason to pick Kassandra over Alexios?

He makes a better villain, but his bants are also better. All Kassandra does is provide eye candy.

You're allowed to like things

if the quests weren't repetitive, this game would be amazing

Its a solid game but its leans into being tedious fairly quick. Enemies aren't fun to fight, quests aren't fun to do, most locations for questing end up in bandit camps, caves, fortresses, and big ass red squares LEADER HOUSE in towns. The sponge that enemies become isn't fun, and leads to abusing the poor AI to just find ways to exploit them to get it over with quickly.

Its a fun like 30 hours but it keeps going and fucking going and going and nothing interesting happens

Someone needs to make a first person mod for this. I've wanted an open world game set in Greece for the longest time.

Too long and too big for its own good. I lost interest and dropped it. The forced grinding is cancer.

>turning the series into an RPG

they totally are.
infact, due to the last two asscreed games' success, theyre doing the same for farcry aswell.

farcry new dawn has damage numbers, colored tier weapons, and all that shit

Yes it does. Depending on what you say you can kill or get every member of your family killed or you can reunite with them and be happy again. Other than that, specially on side quests it doesnt really matter

>force grinding
i only ever grinded once so thats a straight up lie

yes i do think this game is in the top 3 ac's

I really couldn't stand the voice acting and uninstalled. i don't think i've ever given up a game for it before, it was so bad

Not him but you need to be level 48 or something to finish the story and it takes for fucking ever for every level after 40.

>>Being this much of a pleb

You're a pleb for giving a shit about others' opinion on you. If you enjoyed it, great.

>defender of modern ubi ac title calls others a pleb
magical

walk around a bit, enjoy the sights, it honestly flew by, my level skyrocketed after arkadia

i haven't played but isnt the map like the entire peleponnese scaled down 1000% with some other hellenic locations crammed in? my autims cant take that

No, like whatever you like nigger.

it's pretty much all greece and many aegean islands
of course it isn't to scale but gives a pretty good ilusion of being the real deal
i've played it through once about when it came out and plan on going another playthrough when all dlc expansions come out. had a blast though you can't just do main missions, since you do have to explore or do side missions in between but then again why the fuck is anyone playing a open world game to not explore the world?

like i said i got tism about this kinda thing. would have preferred more realistic sized locations in separate maps that have to be loaded . but thats just me i guess

I liked it a lot. I think getting away from the traditional AC and going towards more of an ARPG did the game a lot of good. Mythical beasts where Kino as fuck to fight. The mercenary system was cool, even if it's just a lesser version of Shadow of Mordor and it did get a bit stale towards the end. The world is beautiful and actually really cool to explore. Quests are legit amazing, but only the real quests not those padding missions that are basically radiant quests. Combat is responsive and actually quite challenging if you play on the hardest difficulty.

Overall I gave it a solid 9/10. It has flaws, like the god awful resource system and enemies that are 2 levels above you literally just magically take less damage, but I still loved it.

there are parts of it that are undeniably kino
but kino as a whole? I don't think so
unless you want to call it xenakino, in which case it is
its unironically better than new vegas and rdr2, and I say this as someone who got it for ps4

>some attack too fast to react in time for a parry
I agree with the HP but I've never seen this. Also once you get into around level 20 you can generally have a build that tears enemies apart. The thing with this game is that you can actually fuck it up and make a build that is pure ass if you don't get the right skills and gear to match. IMO that's a good thing, you shouldn't be able to just slap anything together and have it work regardless of if it fits or not.

>being this insecure about things you like

Attached: 1536510749470_0.png (360x360, 140K)

The main and side missions are good. The only quests that are ass are ones marked as grey which are basically just radiant quests. But the yellow ones are more in-depth, like the one were you go through a bunch of bullshit challenges to fight the Minautor only to find out it's all a big scam from a dude in a disguise that's being blackmailed because the cult kidnapped his kid.

majority of people on this board are anime watching fags who only play japanese games and mod a trillion perverted skimpy armors into shit like Skyrim. why are you trying to get their approval?

have you played unity or syndicate? those are supposedly paris and london to scale so it might be more your thing
and while i kinda agree with you it is neither feasible nor would it be fun to ride through literal miles of empty fields, forests or moutains to get to one point to the other

i haven't last one i played was 3 but only played thru the story once and didnt go back to do side quests/explore. really enjoyed revelations though though that was likely unrealistic scale wise . for some reason my obsession with this seems more recent.
> it is neither feasible nor would it be fun to ride through literal miles of empty fields, forests or moutains to get to one point to the other
i agree though i suggested having numerous large near realistic sized maps of places like athens/sparta and other relevant locationjs with loading screens between kind of like witcher 3 or ac 2. that being said this doesnt bother me so much that i cant enjoy a game i just tend to envision how games i play can be more realistic/immersive. its a curse

Gave it a few hours and I can't get into it. Combat is complete fucking trash, nothing in the skill trees makes me interested enough to unlock. Even stealth is way fucking worse. In previous games at least they had the cities to create environments with some variety when it comes to angles you can approach from but here it's just generic campsites with invisibility bushes. Only thing it has going for it is that it looks pretty,

this, it's best to never EVER touch a "quest" that has an hour glass symbol on it or which you get from a bulletin board, only touch the ones with an exclamation mark (which can appear in different colors)

Kassandra is GOAT

>So you want me to get rid of the pirates?
>No misthios, I want you to kill all the sharks.

>GOAT
she won't be perfect until she has hooters like this

I only agree with the RDR2 part. The little details don't excuse the fact that it's usually tedious as hell to play and I only care enough to experience the story once.

Aspasia has an ok rack

Attached: Assassin's Creed® Odyssey__45.jpg (1920x1080, 324K)

None of the in game models have a good rack. They were clearly intended to, since many of the female garments in the game lay on the npcs' bodies as if they have large busts, but you look behind it and the clothing is resting on nothing - the chests of female models are flat, low poly, and untextured. Its really quite bullshit.

To be fair, Ancient Greek woman's clothing didn't show much figure. They wore very loose dresses.

classical antiquity didn't, but minoan and mycenaean sure as hell did

Attached: aegean_girls_by_flick_the_thief_dcpn4nz-fullview.jpg (1024x798, 185K)

Any time alexios is swimming or climbing you can see his panties obviously meant for kassandra, which is literally gay

>Assassins Creed
>Ever having a modicum of good content

Yes

best ac game so far tbqhfam

Imagine Christina Hendricks in that dress on the far left

Attached: Envy.webm (664x480, 1.27M)

>Buggy as fuck, in half an hour of gameplay I had two instances of enemies just teleporting the fuck around
>Doesn't even fucking try to be an "assassin" game anymore, it's Bamham with grinding now, the very first level is just a pitched battle
>Same tired collectathon gameplay they've been pushing for however many installments of this mass produced series
>Shit framerate, made me want to puke
>Game clearly states in its fucking historical educational mode that social justice is more important than historical accuracy
>Every character is abnormally ugly and has an uncanny valley appearance
I wouldn't even rate it as decent, and the meme for games is ludo, not kino

breast envy is top tier
just like christina hendricks

Attached: 6139.jpg (500x500, 47K)

I'm happy for you if you enjoy it but I don't want to support any game that advocates for the "pay money for progress" model, so I'm avoiding this game aggressively.

Will chestlets never learn?

>better than new vegas

Attached: 22f.jpg (679x567, 64K)

I got the game free with a graphics card. Barely touched Origins and lost my save for Black Flag.

Should I play male or female?

>pay money for progress
I never once used the cash shop and I never had any trouble leveling up as long as I actually played the game and did the sidequests

I couldn't play it anymore. The main character has zero motivation and the story is shit. Origins is so much better in terms of area, characters, and story.

Female, unless you want to be looking up a man's skirt every time you climb or swim.

Attached: Assassin's Creed® Odyssey__16.jpg (1920x1080, 391K)

But Kassandra is built like a man.

female has a better voice actor and works better narratively as the protag
male has a really really bad voice actor and works better as the antagonist
also there's the whole "cute muscle girl" versus "soi boi" dynamic going on if that's important to you

so is you're mother but it didn't stop me from conceiving you

It's fucking horrorible
It's a lazy half finished repetitive mess
It literally makes you pay to finish the game if you get bored of grinding.
I fucking hate contrarians man

>It literally makes you pay to finish the game if you get bored of grinding.

Attached: 30a.jpg (475x356, 54K)

Bayak from origins is so much better as a protagonist than this shit. The main character is not relatable at all. Just happy all the fucking and showing no changes.

It's true. The last third of the game is a boring grind. It's skippable with payments though

>male has a really really bad voice actor and works better as the antagonist

You've never seen the campy sword and sandal films of 50s and 60s Italian cinema. Alexios is the definitive choice for a kino greek epic experience.

Attached: Hercules-SR.jpg (1280x720, 220K)

>actually playing the SIDEQUESTS in a fucking rpg is a grind
just turn on easy mode you fucking casual holy shit, there is literally no reason to ever spend money on the cash shop unless you're a fucking retard who prefers games to play themselves

Alexios is legit maximum chad fucking bitches left and right doesn't give a fuck about no one.

It was a lot of fun. They made a massive fun game.

Plot was cringe, but gameplay was fun.

Are you actually trying to say odyssey is difficult at ANY difficulty you fucking retard?

I love peplum movies (Maciste "Son of Hercules" series is my favorite) but Alexios is not Maciste. He has an awful accent, yells at the top of his lungs 100% of the time, and has a cringeworthy soibeard and manbun. He only works as the villain because the villain is a cartoon manchild.

you're the guy bitching about saying you need to pay microtransactions just to finish the game, that's not reflecting badly on me, it's reflecting badly on you

Shit repetitive missions and shit tier rockstar wanted system

Nope. Alexios is fucking great. So corny and heroic.
Kassandra makes a better villain in my opinion. Her overall demeanor and voice fit better.

I never did beat this game. I should reinstall, I had just done a few missions in Athens and was helping some island rebellion I think...

Attached: Desktop_2018_10_10_20_43_53_007.png (1920x1080, 2.11M)

it suffers from the same problem every AC game does: you come out of the animus. Story just goes to shit when you have to play as Layla. Not that the story wasn't shit to begin with, got real retarded when you get to the Atlantis stuff

At least that side of things is minimal compared to 3 and 4 for instance.
I actually skipped the opening and basically all dialog from the modern sections, for as much as I played.
Bitch isn't likeable at all and neither is the modern supporting cast.

Attached: Desktop_2018_10_09_19_41_32_188.png (1920x1080, 2.45M)

Fortunately, for a game I've spent 150 hours on a single playthrough in, I was only brought to the gay modern day segments for 15 combined minutes from 3 different segments.

I love the antiquities. I'm still waiting for an actual rpg game set in a fantasy world inspired by mythical ancient greece. What makes the middle ages so special over the antiquities? You actually had polytheistic civilizations in the antiquities and much of the common monsters used in D&D like minotaurs, centaurs and hyrdra come from greek myth. These are all popular tropes in typical european middle ages fantasy. But AC: Odyssey isn't rpg nor fantasy enough for me, but it's a neat game nonetheless and will have to do until the I get the game I want.
