The problem with Vergil in DMC5 is that he was shoved there because Itsuno didn't want to give Dante a tougher new rival other than his own brother
Instead of having V be his own mysterious character he is Vergil, instead of making Urizen a new top dog demon king, he is Vergil, Instead of making Vergil a recurring Rival boss fight like they did in DMC1 and DMC3, they instead give us Urizen,where you have to lose against 3 fucking times
the game would've been better if Vergil stayed in the shadows with him appearing in certain moments and bossfights in both narrative and gameplay, also we should've got a Nero bossfight and a Dante bossfight, as secret bosses at the least

Nigger you don't know what you are talking about. Shadow didn't die. He was found by Eggman after his fall and Eggman put him inside a pod where he recovered. Thus began his story in Sonic Heroes
