It did so many things right but fucked up in other ways. I had a good experience with the waggle controls as they were accurate and very rarely messed me up. The art style was pretty good as was the character designs and overall cast of characters was excellent. Dungeons were okay from what I remember. Overworld was shitty and I absolutely hated the stealth segments. What the fuck were they thinking with the stealth segments?

To be fair, back then you didn't have literal hundreds of reviewers being part of the average score in Metacritic so the few popular ones that actually would get their score reflected there made a bigger impact than what they'd do nowadays, reason why OoT and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 are so highly rated.
Just out of curiosity I'm checking, OoT was only reviewed by 22 critics, while Tony Hawk had only 19. Compare that to Breath of the Wild which has a review count of a whooping 109 and where any faggot with a videogame webpage could have their review counted there.

Anyone with a brain should know to never trust modern reviewers, regardless of what kind of "bonus" they give to games. A reviewer giving a good score to a game I like doesn't turn him good in any form or way.
