The gameplay is good if you are playing on a higher difficulty. All the monsters have weak points and some have usable parts you can blow off to use against them. The story is a dumpster fire but the gameplay is legit apart from a few rough edges.

user I finished the game on NG+ without Kuro's charm. It's piss easy to do. There's hard parts in the game, but countering lightning is literally braindead and causes every part with lightning attacks to be a breeze. It's no wonder that Genichiro and Sword Saint's final phases are the easiest. You just bait the lightning attack, counter it and get free damage in.

What an inefficient method of farming, and who even gives a shit about sen? It takes forever to get the purple one in the right position attacking at the right time (so you're in range of her lightning but not in range of any of the spearwomens attacks), and you need to do it twice and hit all of them with it both times.
