Just finished this amazing game. Did anyone else on Yea Forums play it?
what did you think of it?

I liked it, but I hate that the best class setup is just a full party of those lantern bitches, kinda kills the point of experimenting with different setups unless you want to gimp yourself. Also going full or close to full suicidal in char creation isn't punished enough.
Stupid ending. Losing your memories is preferable to not existing. You can make new memories.
I'm interested after the demo. Did you go full min/max like this faggot
I thought it was very weird. I spent the last half grinding two Theatrical Stars who could almost never get hit and do great damage, and just breezed through the game.
currently playing and setting up my party to fight Fur Fur and Goddess Junon.
Great game and the characters are nice to look at, I've found myself plenty of times jerking off to the girls (Demon Hunter, fat Lantern bitch and so on, they're all hot)
also, based developers making you fight a giantess from behind while you literally worship her feet
I think it's a very charming bad videogame.
Several mechanics don't really work that well and the dungeons after the first one are so so.
But it's still an enjoyable game. It's weird how in a pure dungeon crawler the best aspect is the writing.
Post ding dong
I beat it just a few days ago. I really enjoyed it, but the grind needed for the endgame content started to get to me after a while. Despite that, however, it probably is my favorite NIS title.
I wanted to like it but reinforcements to do anything half-way tactical put massive drag on the experience. The game felt too simple without it, but using them up would force me out of the dungeon. Contracts were annoying; you couldn't do much with ones you didn't need or want.
I bought it on switch but haven't started it yet.
Bought it at a good price on Amazon but I haven't gotten around to it. I'm still trying to beat 7th Dragon 2020.
>7th Dragon 2020
Is that the 3ds one? I dropped it after the future dragon shit.
>Stupid ending. Losing your memories is preferable to not existing. You can make new memories
you are your memories and Losing it is losing who you are as a person.
You're thinking of VFD, which was the only one to get a proper Western release.
I really loved the 35 hours I played. I need to get back to it but one of the dungeons starting feeling like a slog. It was the giant tower.
Luka's a child. She prob needed somebody to be with her rather than letting everything they did go to waste. But I guess this just warrants a sequel where Luka brings her back or some shit.
Liked the demo.
Wanted to get it physical, but never found it anywhere at decent price.
The giant tower is the "slog zone" of the game, the stopping sign for people just not dedicated enough. Game goes back into track after it, but oh man you're gonna spend a while there.
The best part of the game was switching strategies to beat the two secret postgame bosses because I just didn't want to suffer a third massive soul exchange for my puppets.
I played the Lost Child right before I started Labyrinth of Refrain so I'm a bit burned out on dungeon crawlers. I will get back to it though.
>the Lost Child
Is it as bad as it looks?
The Lost Child (bar nyartolep's 100 towers of autism) is extremely easy compared to Labyrinth of Refrain and it is more off a knock off SMT on the switch than anything. SMT5 FUCKING NEVER NIGGERS!
>is extremely easy compared to Labyrinth of Refrain
As in what, no hard bosses AT ALL? Coven of Dusk was fucking easy beyond some three bosses
It is SMT1 with bad designs (3 of them are good) and standard jrpg gameplay.
>start playing casually not really caring
>get really into it
>at the end of the game realize the apprentice notes weren't optional and I fucked up and sold some rare items I needed for it
>lost all will to play and never beat the last boss because I couldn't even get to the postgame on that run unless I farmed for days
it was really good though
Nah. I meant it more as Dungeon Crawler you could actually get lost/backtracking like a motherfucker. Lost Child was more straight forward but now that you mention it if you play it as a SMT clone just buff and debuff shit and never have to worry about a damn thing.
I found it to be much easier than SMT Strange Journey, but I didn't have it in me to do the 100 floor dungeon.
I liked it but it wasn't really special.
Please be kind to my wife.
Please don't be like the witch and the hundred knight 2. Please don't be like the witch and the hundred knight 2. Please don't be like the witch and the hundred knight 2. >But I guess this just warrants a sequel where Luka brings her back or some shit.
The story kinda ends in that game tho. Next game takes on with different characters.
It wasn't hard beating the shit there it was just hard getting there because those dungeons were bullshit to navigate.
It will be worse
Next game showed teen Luka user.
A-user you know that she likes w-w-women?
loved it.
gameplay was only decent, but fun enough. i love the twisted story. i wish disgaea games had this kind of atmosphere, that would make the perfect game for me.
If they make a new game, I just want them not to have to suffer. And maybe a Disgaea cameo.
>spoiler
literally at least half of the alternate costumes
So its a prequel as suggested by the post game?
>teen Luka user.
She isn't called Luca, if I'm not wrong.
I mean actual characters. Like a superboss.

You're right. It's Mezzaluca.
No only witch and the hundred knight cameos

Ambiguously close to Lucca, Eureka, but not quite it.
wait what it's getting a fucking SEQUEL? HOLY FUCK
>PS4/Vita only
What the fuck?
it's just the japan release, it'll come to pc eventually..
Apperantly the first one came out on vita and took 4 years to be ported to switch and ps4 in English.
It'll be ported to Switch/PC by NISA, probably.
That is totally her lmao
Theatrical star is actually the best class in the game. You can get away with rolling a full party of them and never have to worry about dying. I did a full theatrical star party, and they all function as effective DPS tanks. They outheal the damage of most enemies, and after every fight, I'm full HP before the next fight due to the heals. I literally just auto attacked my way through all the bosses at full HP
Well shit, guess I got spoiled by recent trend of global releases and forgot Japanese games take ages to reach West.
Well, I do hope it comes out on Switch
You literally disinterested get it.
I can actually relate to it personally user. But imho life is about new experiences.
That'll take the longest according to the first one.
at the end where you get to hear the villagers confessions what was the butlers? i fat fingered it and didn't want to reload.
The butler is the dude that raped Velnya. He goes on a tirade about power and women, if I'm not mistaken.
is this like Hundred Knight where the gameplay is passable but the characters and story makes up for it?
I recently 100%ed it. What a ride. Not the biggest fan of how the covens work, not enough differences between classes and most of them are redundant/useless.
This gives me witch and the hundred knight vibes. Is it as twisted and edgy?
Butler was the dude that raped Dronya when she was a kid
He raped a puppet?
what? are we talking about klaus the guy who assist the mayor?
yes
You ought to pay more attention. Villagers are people in purgatorium because they commited sin. The butler is an afterlife version of the dude that raped Velnya (not Dronya) and was in love with Lucca's mother.
Love the art but cannot stomach the garbage covenant system. If classes could get skills on their own without having to do some dumb shit like this I'd actually continue playing it.
Velnya, not Dronya. Besides, you can totally rape a puppet.
As demonstrated by Fritz' master.
Silent Hill 2 much?
I'd rape either of em tbf. Or the nun. God I would rape that lesbian.
I can't beat the actual last boss.
Any tips?
I just finished Rosatempus, about to start Amadeus. I... I think I want off this ride
Last floor in Campanula. There’s a chest that you can open with Furia’s key. Inside there’s a pact/coven.
Have you gotten the coven Mezzalucca can give you through a witch's petition?
general tips for someone who just started? i really want to get into it but its a bit different from most rpgs.
how do I make invincible theatrical star?
Yes. Written by the same guy who did the first hundred knight unlike hundred knight 2.
gameplay.tips
Most broken team in the game. It's better to get started on this as soon as possible.
Ah, I see. Thanks.
hell yeah
Riviera 2 when?
As long as it’s by the same writer.
Darn you're right, I only recognized Almaz-lookalike.
daughter? you think that THAT guy bang loli lucca?
Have you played makai kingdom or soul cradle? What are your opinions on those games?
I actually haven't played either of those.
Too bad we're gonna have to wait for the port. It being PlayStation 4/PS Vita only means butchering and censorship for sure from Sony.
time to learn some moon i guess
They censor the Jap games as well anontard
