It took Kusoge Software SIX games to make animated mouths and they are not even synced with speech.

The vast majority of players wouldn't even figure out how to get up there, and the whole fucking point of a secret boss (or any boss really) is to fight it. That level of cheese is just robbing yourself of content. It would only be worthwhile for autistic speedrunners.

Well yes, my friend. Satisfaction and accomplishment is a scientific part of the appeal in video games. They are designed in a specific way to get that response from the player so I don't know what you and others are trying to prove with the "its just a video game lel xd" mentality. People who want to actively discredit the "elite gamer" perspective or whatever you want to call it are defending the idea that people shouldn't put emotion and dedication to the things they spend their time doing in life.

But there actually is a sense of accomplishment for something like , more so for the person who discovered it and it is something to take pride in

ai in this kind of game is almost impossible to be good. there are too many possibilities of mobility. that's why you see bosses with patterns: it's like the script version of ai: do this and then that. Very rarely you see a boss that actually reacts to what the player is doing.

I cheesed every boss I could possibly cheese in this game, even on the first attempt.
As soon as I recognized a boss area, I googled a cheese strat for them. Felt fucking amazing belittling the bosses so hard and not even attempting a real fight. The way I manhandled sword saint was disgusting.

Yeah I can see this argument. For example, I played through Halo 2 on legendary recently, and I saw online how you can take a Banshee into the final boss fight with Tartarus, making it very easy (obviously this was not intended by Bungie, but it is possible to get a Banshee into the fight). But then I was like "nah, I want to complete this game the way it was meant to be completed". And it was much more satisfying.
