Are you using vsync?
Are you using vsync?
hell no. input lag is for chumps.
I used to always turn it off but idk sometimes I just don't want my screen to look fucked up whenever I move my mouse too fast.
Never
Depends on what game I'm playing. If it's reaction intensive I'll turn it off, but otherwise there's no reason not to use it.
No I use G-sync because I'm not a fucking turd burglar
yeah I don't play multiplayer games so why the fuck wouldn't I? I also use a controller when I feel like it too, problem?
freesync here
yes
>hurr he's using Vsync, what a retard
SO WHAT IF I DO IT YA LOUSY CUNT, I'LL PUNCH YA FACE
You have to be blind to not use it.
vsync is a must for CEMU otherwise you get very bad screen tearing even at 30FPS
Poorfag here.
Are you supposed to use VSync and Freesync at the same time or what?
Do people care about tearing this little or am I doing something wrong that makes my screen tear like crazy when vsync is off?
i think you're supposed to turn off vsync per game options, and turn on freesync in general graphics options
If Freesync is like G sync, no
Why is everyone saying that vsync is bad?
Input lag, fucks with framerates, etc.
it heavily depends on the game. you don't want to use vsync in a esports shooter or MOBA because it increases input lag in a highly competitive multiplayer environment. but if you're emulating zelda or playing sekiro then it doesn't fucking matter
i turn on vsync because i don't like frame tearing
It's not like I'm a fucking pro player , I rather have no screen tearing and a few more ms of input lag
I have g-sync. I have no reason to use v-sync.
currently playin’: Saints Row 2 on 360
v-sync on/off: lol without it is brutal
>has to be on for vr
>disable it for everything else
I'm wondering the same. What's frustrating is I've been playing console since I'm a child and I can't remember if games used to have tearing or input lag. But now on pc I also have crazy tearing. I've waited for years to gather enough money for a gsync monitor only now you can use freesync with nvidia cards.
some console games have tearing too. if you ever played saints row 1 on xbox 360 that game had a fuck ton of screen tearing.
only when playing more >casual stuff with a controller, i can't bear the input lag when using mouse
Yes, i don't know what it does, what does it do?
Borderless window if I can, or just freesync
where is the benis?
Synchronizes the fps with your monitor's refresh rate (60 Hz monitor=60 fps). Only turn it on if you experience 'screen-tearing' since it'll cap your fps most of the time.
only when i get screen tearing
just a reminder that you can still get screentearing below your monitor's refresh rate if the game/application is that bad.
I don't know what vsync is
so i just leave it whatever its default setting is
hating on vsync is boomer tier whining, things have improved since CS 1.6
Generally no unless I notice screen tearing that bothers me, otherwise there is literally no point.
Depends on the game really.
the hell are you talking about? vsync's impact on input delay still varies drastically on a game by game basis, as it always has. it hasn't universally improved.
nah
