Instead of playing five awful games (exactly what I do) try playing one or two great games (something I never do).

Pick something from your backlog to try out. Get rid of external distractions, and give the game an honest try. If you're not feeling interested after an hour, say fuck it and start a new one.

I play stuff from every generation. Don't care about trophies, don't care about achievements, don't care about missing out on the latest multiplayer bandwagon, learn about gaming, learn what type of games interest you, be it 3rd person hack and slash, first person shooters, puzzle games, fighting games, whatever. Do a Google search for well liked and time tested games from that genre, pick one, and play it. Go to thrift shops and hunt down used games for systems you own. If you're a PC dude, then maybe that's the problem. No physical tangible product to put your hands on.

Play while you stick a dildo up your ass.

i got a job and i started to enjoy video games again because i had something to look forward too
join the military user

Unironically smoke weed. It brings back that childlike amusement again, especially when playing a new game for the first time.

Protip: Do NOT join the military. Especially if you have problems with decisions and being prepared.

Not letting it be the only thing you do for the whole day might help.

The only time I talk out loud to myself while gaming, say things like "Woah" and "COME ON!!" when I die but was so close to winning, is when I'm stoned. It really does make me feel like a kid again enjoying video games with innocence.

stop playing boring games

The trick to enjoying video games as an adult is to accept that you're an adult and don't try to play video games like you're a kid anymore.

Treat video games as a luxury, not as a way to simply pass the time. Don't treat video games as a lifestyle and ideally also don't play games that wants you to treat them like lifestyles. Video games are great as a break from reality, just don't let them become your only reality.

>Don't care about trophies, don't care about achievements
This is pretty good advice, if you can do it. I, for one, am apparently too autistic. Achievements actually fuck with my enjoyment of games, because I like finishing games and locked achievements make me feel that games are still unfinished. So I'm reluctant to start a game if it has a ton of achievements that I know I'll never unlock.

I kinda just feel dumb and happy for no reason when smoking weed, it doesn't make me feel estatic to play video games, I just feel lazy and somewhat entertained. Playing games is pretty much a high effort task at that point. I dunno what the deal is, am I smoking too much or?

Play one of these
Other than Dragon Quest V and Nier Automata, I can't imagine not having at least SOME fun with each of these

Imagine being such a boring person that you forgot how to have fun

I'm just tired user. I'm so tired.

Everyone who uses Elon Musk smoking as an avatar is a fucking faggot. I hate you OP

Don't visit Yea Forums until i finish a game

Try sleeping for 8 hours uninterrupted.

Affects everyone differently. I quit smoking weed a while back and enjoy games now more than ever but could see how it would also improve someone's game experience.

- Check your backlog.
- For instance. 2 weeks ago, I've finally managed to play VtmB for the first time.
-- Suffice to say it was a great experience.
- I also obtained flashcarts for NES / SNES and library had expanded.
- Split time for single player and multiplayer games.
- Find some other hobbies as well.
- Exercising

install only one game at time

Take the hacker pill. Everything becomes fun when you cheat. You realize that games are a meme and not worth your time and energy. Break the rules and make them as fun as you want.

I sleep at least 12 hours every single day

I stopped playing multiplayer shit and started playing old games that I never got a chance to play/never finished. Infinitely happier

be careful, weed can be a slippery slope.

Stop playing multiplayer shit and stop pirating games. You'll be more inclined to complete a game if you paid for it.

Stop playing Western ""games""

This is really good advice.

This. Hard to do enjoy games now that I stopped smoking. Just not as comfy

>when the trainer lets you drop certain players connections
I used to collect plenty of salt on GTA V online.

Alcohol

DUDE

What games are you playing then? I'm curious about the exact titles.

look at the list of games that came out when you were exactly 12

pick one that you haven't played before and try it out

worked for me and a number of my friends

That's not good either, dumb ass. Sleep a normal fucking amount.

I'm not OP but I turned 12 in 2000... and honestly, I think I prefer games which are a bit older. Rather than 12, one should probably just use the age at which one really started to enjoy video games.
