Narbacular Drop was a student project by the fucking leads of portal. Valve hired them after Narbacular Drop and asked if they want to make a full game out of it, and they accepted and DID. How can you rip off something that you fucking created.
As for Prey, Narbacular Drop was made long before Prey was entering its final form of development (seeing as it basically DNF'd like 4 times) and the portals dont even work the same way. Preys are basically doors to another zone.
