Except it didn't. There's a small vocal minority but there's always a small vocal minority. Devs have already stated being an epic exclusive appears to have not done much damage to their sales. We've been through this shit before with ea and origin. They didn't come crawling back to steam because being origin exclusive hasn't really damaged their sales numbers either. People go where the games are.
