I like the one where you fetch an item

I’m a fan of any quest that lets me rotate three stones to match an image nearby.

I like the one where you try and join a guild but before they let you become the guild master you have to go to several different dungeons and kill a bunch of draugr

I love the quest where you go into a random house to kill some random fauna

Name ONE mission

The one based off of the Hangover.
Going to Blackreach was pretty good as well.

For all the crap Skyrim gets it has more choice and consequence than Oblivion and Morrowind combined.

That one where you solve the murders in windhelm and the guards just sorta believe you for no particular reason.

That one in markarth where you murder your way out of the super secure jail and then the next day no one seems to care.

All the dark brotherhood ones where you kill the emperor and then no one cares.

That one in dawnstar where you use a cool dream potion and then can never use it again.

Holy shit you are so fucking wrong. There is literally no consequences for joining any faction in Skyrim. I literally can't think of a single actual choice you have to make at any point in a skyrim quest. Unfortunately, I finished this post before I realized you were baiting, so I'm going to post it anyway.

I liked Peryite's quest to kill orchendor; you kill him like a classic boss battle to get your reward. Same with Meridia's quest.

Hey would you like to swap email addresses and play Cross Paint online? We can just take it in turns

Regarding the topic, I really enjoyed when you had to remove a dragon from a life

It's true, you can choose from hundreds of completely linear quests

uhhhhh the vampire quest where you do like 2 different quests if you joing the vampires before inevitably finishing the DLC the same exact way no matter what

You can betray at least three of the quest givers in the Daedric quests and end up with either them as a follower or a daedric artifact.
Destroy the DB or not.

Seriously it isn't even close.
One caveat. If you count every possible outcome of the Whodunnit? quest in Oblivion then Oblivion has the most.If you count it as A quest with choice and consequence then Skyrim has more than Oblivion and Morrowind combined.

The one where you climb a mountain.

worst part about nearly every quest was that unless it was a main story quest, it seemed to have no effect on the world
i dont know how beth would successfully implement world impact to quests like the one where you kill the emperor, but then again im not a game designer

isn't that disease boss dude inexplicably immune to magic?
what's up with that

I enjoyed the one where some random guy who does not know me at all gave me the ashes of his recently dead good friend so I could walk across town and give it to the priest.

Attached: 1554336181832m.jpg (1024x1024, 153K)

That goes back to Morrowind.
The Arch Mage will give you a quest to kill the telvani councilors even if you ARE a telvani councilor.

At least in the later games the guards would commenton your actions.

What do you think about the one where someone asks you to retrieve an item for them and then gives you said item in reward?

Those were nostalgia bait for the Morrowind crowd.

There are around twenty quests in Skyrim with C&C.
That is not including the negotiations at the Greybeards that result in little more than a change in faction disposition.

Not a massive number to be sure but the point of contention is whether it has more than Morrowind and Oblivion combined.

>For all the crap Skyrim gets it has more choice and consequence than Oblivion and Morrowind combined
I know it's bait, but fuck you

I like the one where you investigate that wizard school tower after everyones been killed

You pretty much listed all choices in Skyrim there in your post.

What I stated was technically correct (The best kind).
You will sputter and scoff but the one thing you won't do is prove me wrong.

All TES games are shit in terms of C&C. Case closed

Nope.
I would love to see what C&C anons come up with for Morrowind. It shouldn't take long as there isn't that much to list.

>tfw I actually find Skyrims gameplay loop fun

Attached: tenor.gif (498x359, 408K)

That wasn't my point.
My point was Skyrim had the most of the big three.

sad part is that it's going to be the same in TESVI

regular bandits outside + some draugr-equivalent fodder enemy found in the "ancient dungeons" that come in tiers

How's ESO

Do you like paying 200 for a house?
It started the trend of Zeni mercilessly shearing the sheep.

>completing a single daedric quest in a way that results with you not getting an artifact locks you out of the achievement for that character
>despite being a daedric artifact the skeleton key doesn't count
>despite the black star not technically being a daedric artifact, it counts
normally I don't care about achievements but I can't help but feel cheated out of it

Just fallout 4 with more swords. Fun.
>kill bandits in a deserted town
>doesn't repopulate with more bandits or other types of enemies
>just the same shit over and over and over

The house in Markarth where you go in to find a Daedric shrine and you can't get out unless you kill the guy who entered with you, that was cool.

>bethesda
>consequence

What is C&C?

Daedric quests are always the best. The talking dog on was excellent too.

youtube.com/watch?v=3Kny9AaxHZg

I found ESO to be okay to play. I had a friend to play with and it had one good idea I hope they keep for future TES games. To make the game more like other MMOs, they have classes but all the classes can learn all of the skills. The classes provide special abilities that sort of work with the skills that you learn.

I'm hoping that TES VI provides these classes that give you a special ability or two that you can then blend with the regular skills and abilities. I much like that a class is something that gives you some extra abilities rather than allowing a skill to level faster.

skyrim had quests?

Attached: MightGuyThinkingFace.gif (278x234, 46K)

I like the
>enter home
>find journal
>read something happened
>go to basement
>kill mosnter that killed family
type quests.

Choice and consequence.
To some the holy grail of "What is an RPG"
If that is the yardstick you measure games by then Skyrim is the mostest RPG of Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim.

There are multiple endings to that markarth quest. You don't have to kill anyone except the forsworn people.

I, too, also enjoy shit things.

Fallout 4 was fun with settlement defense mods, lots more guns via mods, and difficulty mods.
Plus Skyrim 2 might inherit the sex mod mantle.

Attached: 49592.jpg (1439x2484, 1.51M)

Probably Vigilant

I want Bethesda to bring back settlement creation. Just more focus on quality than quantity.
Like just one, with better A.I.

If you enjoy shit may I suggest Daggerfall?
You will be in heaven.

Settlements were terrible and half assed like everything bethesda does. I hope they just make a literal Skyrim 2 with an updated engine further in the story.
Fallout 3 to 4 had so many god awful changes, I hope TES Six doesnt suffer from a horde of half implemented and poorly thought out concepts that leave the entire thing barren like FO4.

Oh yeah, man!
Already played it. It was ABSOLUTE shit to the FRIGGIN' EXTREME!!!

I can only make out 4-5 words.

My favorite fights are against the dragons that know an ancient language that literally bent reality yet only breath fire or frost while occasionally landing to bite you

Attached: 1512151067578.png (237x275, 70K)

What the fuck do them doodles mean?

I like the one where the cat mage gives you a scroll that hurts you if you fight draugr as a prank. Those khajiit are such cheeky troublemakers!

Spotted the basketball American.

It looks beautiful though. I wish someone took time to make a full gameplay overhaul.

That time would be better spent remaking Morrowind.

Attached: morrowind thread.jpg (240x249, 11K)

It certainly doesn't feel that way. It could have the most choices but actual consequences? I don't think so

They missed a great opportunity with Helgen. The mod is ok as a quest mod but there's not much freedom in it.

I know everyone's enjoying their little circlejerk, but I'm glad the quests in Skyrim are shit because I hate ironically enjoying myself.

Attached: 1537414704883.gif (336x430, 534K)

>ironically enjoying myself
What the fuck does that even mean?

The more involved the quest, the less that I am interested in it. Sorry; I don't have time to hop around a giant world or thread my way through some intricate dialog tree to get to the "right" answer.

Enter dungeon. Defeat monsters. Get Cracker Jack prize (which I won't need or use since I've already modded the living f**k out of Skyrim to get it to exactly how I want it). Leave.

How hard is that to replicate 200+ times in a game?

Postscript: I have never finished a main quest in a Elder Scrolls game.

I think we are better off not knowing.

The Morthal vampire quest

Shit taste. I like the one where you go into a cave and kill a bunch of bandits.

Just play some dungeon crawlers senpai.

That's cool, but what about the one where you kill Forsworn?

ES 6 is going to be a game-as-a-service. Everyone laughs. You just wait.

Beth is a business. They don't care about you. Oldrim was the last pure "game as a product" game that they'll ever do. F4 & Newrim are the hybrid games where they are trying to stretch the boundaries of "game-as-a-service." F76 was another small step in that direction.

People will one day look back and yearn for the days of Oldrim & how free the modding community was.

Everyone laughs You just wait.

>100s of years after oblivion- empire collapsed- 4th era

Morrowind - Places

Thanks user.

Doesn't hold a candle to falmer caves mate, cmon now.

I don't care. I won't be buying it anyway.

Kill Paarth or not has a faction lockout.
Imp v Stormcloak
DB can be destroyed or joined.
Azuras Star you end up with a version of the star and a follower or not.
The cannibal daerdra quest you end up with the ring and the priestess or no ring and the Priest as a follower.
You can side with Madanach or the Silver bloods
There is more but I think that should jog your memory.

>STRONGHOLD- a freeform castle dungeon/fortress the player makes and recruits people who depend on you in (Return to Blades)?
Could have made a great DLC.

To be fair if you're a telvani councilor you generally already killed most other telvani councilors anyway.

Kinda sounds like it turned into the Fallout 4 settlements

The only one I was tempted to kill was the man hating cunt.
She was the first to go once I got the quest.

Play Enderal.

The quest to open up the pirate treasure vault in Solthsteim was pretty fun

The quest where I sneak up behind guards unarmed and german suplex them to death.

uninstall wizard quest

The bounty hunting quests are the best. After I killed Bandit Leader #163, I killed a random mudcrab nearby.

Imagine mudcrabs actually existing being a size of a dog and attacking humans haha

Still better than Morrowinds escort quests.
There is a special place in hell for the guy that came up with those quests.
Right next to the guy that came up with the combat for Morrowind.

going into a cave and getting raped by Draugr is pretty rad

I like when you meet Cicero for the first time.
If you convince them to have him arrested he comes back and kills them.

It looks like it became the crappy recruitment quests from Delphine and Hearthfire. What a shame

scribble central oh my god

>2 -Dragons - fight large creatures - EPIC

>morrowind combat bad
>i have 7 skill in long sword why cant i hit anything wtf game is broken

Attached: 700.jpg (200x313, 10K)

>physically, graphically, visually hit something
>deal 0 damage cause didnt hit lol

The visual feedback is the same at 1 skill as it is 100 skill, that's why the combat is fucking shit. Get over it already.

it's a first person,dice-roll based roleplaying game you stupid fucking braindead zoomer
it is not an action rpg

> Oh noes this huge orc is charging me. I hope I remember I am carrying a shield.
RNG in RT combat is a bad idea.

>Epic Realism
>EPIC
I would use this word for DD dragon boss fight, but, skyrim dragons are a wet fart.

Attached: 1544454257344.jpg (2048x2048, 420K)

>it's a first person,dice-roll based roleplaying game
then it should present itself as such by having the animations correspond to your actions and the random elements

I'm fond of the one where you go into the sealed tomb and find lit candles, fresh food and piles of modern currency.

Legit question, if animation were added, like dodge, parry and block, how you would feel about it ?

It was the hollywood "so cool" set piece style of epic

>dragon comes down from the mountains and meteor storms a town of 12 people
>dragon skeleton climbs out of the ground and its flesh regrows around its bones and dies in 4 hits
>dragon flies out of a frozen lake

They made the wrong things memorable. I can remember the entire Grigori sequence in DD from start to finish because the whole thing is "epic". Not just when the dragon appears for the first time. Fucking Todd.

kill yourself skyrim babbies

>Skyrim dragon lands at the tower
>Shits on fire yo
>Stands there being shot to death by bow and arrow
>All dragons encountered fly, land, breathe fire, repeat
I have more epic fights with bears. I'm less worried about killing the dragon then I am of a random dragon killing NPCs without me knowing it happened.

The one where you had to fetch a mammoth's tusk for that one merchant. That was fairly thrillling.

majority of mod quests that don't suck dick

There are mod quests that don't suck dick?

yeah. the ones that actually try to tell a story. follower quests for example; the one cat girl was good.

Didn't Daggerfall had a superior RNG quest system, with possible branching paths and unique starts ?

Attached: 1539631216701.png (176x158, 20K)

Indigo or whatever?
If so we have VERY different opinion on what constitutes quality.

Mirai or something. The quest wasn't spectacular but wasn't shit like bethesda's quests. There are definitely better examples that I can't think of though. My issue with mods is that it takes so long to download them all; by the time I'm finished getting them my drive to play is already gone.

correction; was 'M'rissi's Tail of Troubles'.

>Main quest is highly freeform
that's one way to put it

Some quest mods are great in VR
>Super Skyrim Bros
>Dreaming Isles
>Clockwork Castle

I could go on. SkyrimVR might be a shitty VR port but mods make it an incredible experience. Also those tiddies ridiculous.

It’s really cool that you have no choice whatsoever and are literally forced to murder a man. Very cool. Very interactive

>hey i'll join the bard's guild for some variety from all this killing and spelunking
>"okay so to be a bard you have to go to this cave and uhm..."

it's a tomb not a cave you absolute plebian

As soon as I got that quest I just skipped the rest of the dialog, walked out and never returned. Even the fucking thieves guild was like that for most of it. I think 1 quest involves actual thievery/breaking and entering.

How did Oblivion do it?

How did it manage to have the most memorable quests and the single best DLC to ever be released, and have the best version of the soundtrack to date, AND manage to be the best iteration of character progression and combat?

Why didn't we just stop here?

Attached: face.jpg (660x413, 173K)

They tease you with “plans” for heists they had which you never end up doing. Instead, you enter a bunch of draugr filled ruins over and over again

>unreadable scribbles punctuated by buzzwords like EPIC
explains a lot about the final product
also i can't read retard, but does this really describe the elder scrolls as 'the ultimate mcguffin'

Fpbp

>best iteration of character progression and combat?

Attached: 10ec89139069de6baba7b2198d8edebf.jpg (1280x1776, 90K)

It refined the concept of Morrowind which was in itself a fun game. But then they thought "huh, by reducing and streamlining Morrowind we made a game that was better, so I guess by streamlining Oblivion further Skyrim will be even better!", but they went too far.

Sorry bro, you know it to be true.
Nigga I ain't talk about Skyrim get the fuck out of my face snow nigger.

The one quest in warriors guild when you have to destroy blackwood company

sorry, I can't hear you over all this enemy scaling and 400+ arrows in an ogre's chest.

see

I beat this game the first time when I was 13.

Sitting around hating on the best game of all time, you probably diabetic, faggot.

Are you retarded? Oblivion character progression was flat out broken.

>you probably diabetic, faggot.
And I know you definitely eat shit based off your opinions.

Still waiting to see a Morrowind one.

i'm just gonna reroute you to the canned response

skyrim niggers get dabbed on

Sorry my guy.

I like that one where you join a guild of thieves but then end up in a dungeon killinh draugr.

That one where you join a company of mercenaries and then go kill some draugr in a dungeon is also pretty cool.

Or maybe that one in the main quest where you have to go in a dungeon filled with draugr to fetch an item.

Attached: eI4HgKu_d.jpg (640x801, 51K)

>Roll dice
>If it lands on any number you play as the Dragonborn and partially follow the main quest before you get bored
>flip coin
>If it's heads or tails you join every guild and become it's leader after killing some draugr

if it wasn't for mods I would have no interest in this game

Oblivion was shit though, it's like Fallout 3 except it never got it's New Vegas

Sorry dude you're wrong it's literally the GOAT ES game and you're probably diabetic.
