The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
is a poor man's OoT
the wolf upgrades add so much depth
No
Hey, GCNfags! The original Wii version is superior!
I WANT TO FUCK MIDNA!
is a poor man's Okami.
i wish they had done more with the spinner. the spinner playground in the 4th temple was fun.
Regardless, the music's great.
-Hyrule Field is God tier.
Would be the ideal Zelda if the second half was more non-linear, the difficulty was higher, and the tears of light sections were removed.
Fun game.
What did this game add to the formula besides wolf link? Everything besides graphics feels like a downgrade compared to previous games. Even TWW had more stuff like capturing forts or gliding
Remove wolf link completely
I want transformations that play different
The worst Zelda
hot take incoming
it's aged better than OoT, and I don't mean graphically
>non-linear!
It adds nothing
This was a time when Nintendo thought it's games needed to be edgy and more mature hence the t rating and boring brooding atmasphere
At least it was better than skyward shitsword
OoT is fun right from the start and doesn't take too much time to reach the best parts. TP is a slog and the emo asthetics hurt my eyes everytime.
And yet it's a complete bore to play
It was bland, empty, lacking in sidequests, had an ugly art style, and let its gimmick (wolf transformation, alternate world) go to waste. It turned me off from Zelda for a long time, until BotW.
Which might be a good thing, since I don't hear much good about the games I therefore skipped, those being Skyward Sword and the DS ones.
Hello zoomer
8.8
>superior graphics
>uses the Wii mote and motion controls
Not worth it
My least favourite in the series (although I skipped Skywards and both DS games). I can see why people praised it back in the day, being so close to OoT and all, but in retrospect it was an ok game at best, specially considering it came out in 2006.
It is the best 3d zelda. Not like it's saying much but still.
>right-handed link
Um, sweetie...
is fucking shit
It is pretty weird how comparable it is to Okami.
That's make sense if you had a picture of Skyward Sword to accompany your post, but you didn't.
*Easy to aim and point, none of that Wii Motion Plus bullshit, better and quicker than controller
*Less framedrops, runs flawlessly, and kids are all about frames these days instead of graphics
Truly ahead of its time.
It was trying it’s best to be the next OOT.
Skyward Sword, Breath of the Wild, and every game where Link is ambidextrous instead of left-handed would like to have a word with you.
The linearity of the second half is completely arbitrary though. You're forced to do Temple of Time, Snowpeak Ruins and City in the Sky in that order despite there being no real reason why the player shouldn't be allowed to do them in whatever order they like. Wind Waker has the exact same issue with the Earth Temple and Wind Temple.
Nintendo didn't think that OoTfags wouldn't shut up about it. Nintendo wanted to make Wind Waker 2.
>It was trying to be OOT
FTFY
Everything a Zelda game shouldn't be. Linear, heavy tutorials, cutscene/story driven, boring NPCs, shit combat, shit dungeon design, tons of filler puzzles, shit generic music mimicking a movie soundtrack, absolutely horrible wolf gimmick, weak nostalgia pandering while at the same time being bad, etc.
Literally the only good thing in the game is Midna. And again, a Zelda game shouldn't be narrative driven so she shouldn't have been the focus.
I THINK IT FUCKING SUCKS
Does the cuff that stays on wolf link’s leg for a good chunk of the game trigger anyone else’s autism?
how many games actually broke that cycle? I only remember that one.
you've never played the game, 100% bet you've only fapped to midna.
I grew up with OoT
I hated the camera and the combat then and I hate it now too
>if you don't have the same taste as me, you just never played the game!
Don't you have a Final Fantasy thread to shit up?
I played the game when it came out. Which is why I'm able to cite so many specifics about it. Cry more.
I always had fond memories of this game but each time I think about it the less and less I want to replay it.. It kind of feels like it's trying to be something that it really isn't, like for example those tranny clowns, wtf was that ?
Agreed. BotW is not fully what a Zelda game should be either. But it was a step in the right direction compared to all the linear zone games we'd been getting for 15+ years. At least the overworld and exploration was what Zelda should be. If they added better music and dungeons, it would have finally been a Zelda game.
And ALBW was just as good as LTTP.
so the wii version didnt have the option to use the gamecube controls?
