For the fact that Yea Forums isn't very good at staying on-topic and likes to complain, Yea Forums actually likes video games in the abstract. Resetera seems to basically just see video games as a culture war front. When Yea Forums complains about a game it's normally either butthurt that a new installment is being made worse to appeal to casuals, or the devs being kikes with things like bullshit DLC or DRM practices. It's a pretty far cry from Resetera complaining that the devs committed wrongthink on twitter or crying that every sexuality and phenotype needs to be represented in their easy mode walking sims because fuck cis white males.

Epic Games unironically. The Mirosoft Store kinda just exists as a Microsoft Games store, so it's whatever.
I would say Steam is for monopolizing the PC game industry, but who in their right mind creates exclusivity deals for PC other than to be a raging fucktard? It's not like consoles, since you can just get both of the services.
The defining issue is that Epic Games is the "Fortnite" player, and the only way to drum up extra cash is to make exclusivity deals with 3rd parties. Steam hasn't had to do that - period - for the simple fact it was the default for the PC community.
