how we can save steam ?
How we can save steam ?
Give H-trash it's own subcategory where I don't have to ever see them, but also make up your mind where you stand on it.
Do the same for early access/Indie shit. Then also ban the weird ERPers.
I don't see this on my list and I don't friend request dweebs and weebs like you so I never have to. Goodbye retard.
release more porn on it, and make no attempt at censoring lolis
also make porn content appear by default and be a opt-out rather than opt-in
It's already blocked unless you choose to see it like OP.
I want a Hentai girl for me to make me happy
I want her so I can stop using my hand
Every single day, while watching anime
I'd pull her from my screen just like in my dreams
I want feel her touch, mainly on my crotch
I want my own hentai girl and she would sing
Did people actually ever pay attention to the new releases section? I sure never did.
A woman or a tranny or a faggot made this post. 100%.
>better for corporations
>worse for customers
>Small indie games are mostly on Steam...
Nice try
Also nobody would care if game come out on both clients and customer could choose... Paying hard money for time exclusivity isn´t result of capitalism, its bribery
>and tencent can't take user data, they would need 51% stock for that
lmao the state of epic shills
people tend to lie that they exclusively browse the new releases to find new games to play only to justify curated (read: limited) stores
>ace attorney trilogy
Wait what the fuck
When did PW get a pc port
few days ago, which is also when people realized it was a thing
they entirely forgot to advertise it
>fun is all that matters
>my security and privacy are secondary to my hobbies
Holy shit lol what about when your wife gets sold into slavery?
holy shit you trying so hard with those epic meymeys xD
Looks good to me
Real competition from Epic will save Steam. They're going to have to step up and figure out how to improve the issues.
Every major publisher was already slowly abandoning Steam because 30% was too much and they weren't getting anything from Valve out of it.
EGS just provided an option for those without the resources to make their own.
>Real competition from Epic will save Steam.
When are they going to start?
Valve already reduced their top-end cut to 20% and have been doing more banner ads as promotion. It's a small step forward but there's still a long way for Steam to go.
They advertised it by saying there were going to be UNMISSABLE ACE ATTORNEY NEWS just to drop another port
I mean when are Epic going to start providing some real competition and not just bribing developers in order to create a monopoly on certain games?
They've released it on every current-gen platform.
do we look like dev
what the fuck do we care
Paying developers more provides competition.
Apparently paying developers is now a "bribe", whereas having a borderline monopoly to force people onto your platform is fine.
>whereas having a borderline monopoly to force people onto your platform is fine
lmao what, nobody is forced to use steam
I want quality porn games to sell on steam
but only the meme ironic weeb shovelware sells on there rather than good VNs or h-games
also they take 30% and the actual weebs already know how to buy porn games elsewhere
What the fuck do we care about people who very clearly doesnt give a shit about us?
You mean, like is already available?
Steam has filters that you can set to always be on. Porn itself is blocked by default.
"A 30% cut is standard!"
"Uhhh, but it doesn't cost Valve anywhere near 30% to provide their service, Valve don't have the same overheads or responsibilities as a platform developer, and they offer incredibly little to developers for that money. They don't even offer a conference. Is it any wonder developers are getting pissed off and looking elsewhere?"
"But 30% is standard! And look at this controller UI! And VR! And keys!"
ad infinitum
Serious question why do people seeing the existence of these H games make them so insecure and want them gone from their site?
Like do you walk in public and see a porno mag and start sprinting to the store manager demanding it be taken from your view?
Stop being a faggot and just move pass it. Let people like what they like it does no harm.
>HOW CAN STEAM OR GAMES POSSIBLY BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY WHEN STUFF LIKE THIS EXISTS
only when you stop being so insecure about being taking seriously.
How am I not forced to use Steam when the vast majority of games are exclusive to Steam?
And Steam still doesn't have proper patch note functionality.
>borderline monopoly to force people onto your platform
who force anyone on steam ?
And paying for time exlusivite is fine, right.. PAYING !
If epic is so great why dont release game on both systems at same time ? You can sale your game for 5 or 10 dollars cheaper on epic if you want...(smaller price for worse services)
the only ones who play these shitty hentai vns nd 2d hentai rpgs are ironic weebs that don't even complete them
*20%
>You can sale your game for 5 or 10 dollars cheaper on epic if you want...(smaller price for worse services)
No, you can't - Valve mandates prices are the same across platforms. It's part of their Steamworks documentation.
(I actually wonder if that's legal - it's price-fixing - but meh)
They aren’t paying developers they’re paying publishers. None of that money it going towards development of the game. It’s literally just a bribe.
It only applies if you are using steam keys in another service. There are games that sell by less in other stores (mainly because the store is from the same people who funded the game)
That's because publishers pay developers to develop games.
Or do publishers 'bribe' developers to develop games? I lose track.
18% of pc users buy games off steam you can look that up. Isn’t a monopoly. I agree steams gotten complacent and needs competition. However epic is complete garbage. Use GOG if you wanna support competition. Oh you won’t? Why? Cause you don’t actually care and just want to shill?
what this guy says... Even if... then give people something they dont have...paying for time exlusivity is just shitty way to get people like your service
To add to this it's also just the base price you could just keep it in an eternal sale in humble bundle if you wanted
Lol are you serious? Tell me
Something kid, when a game is already gone gold, what does that mean? It means it’s done. It means the game has been created and money spent. The payment the devs are reserving from that point on aren’t gonna increase now that a publisher received a giant check. It’s going to remain the same and the devs are just gonna have to deal with whatever decision they make with their game. Almost all of the game’s Epic has bought have been finished games that they bribed the publishers to take off steam.
None of that money has been used for development of a product. They don’t care enough to go through that process
Just surrender.
>18% of pc users buy games off steam
As always, it depends how you measure it. Steam certainly dominates the market.
>?Use GOG if you wanna support competition. Oh you won’t? Why? Cause you don’t actually care and just want to shill?
I use GOG (see pic). Their launcher is shit (Epic's is better) and they haven't managed to get much traction. You also can't trust CD Projekt - their finances are precarious and they've already shut down GOG once.
I use pretty much every launcher. I've been buying PC games since they came in big boxes containing floppy disks.
I genuinely wonder who the Steam fanboys are - I doubt many actually buy and play PC games.
Weedcraft looks like fun
Reminder that being a fan of Steam is a fan of:
* Region Locking
* Loot boxes and paid cosmetics
* Charging for mods
* Taking money away from developers and into the hands of a middle-man
* Expensive payment processors
* "Early access" games
Anyone else playing staxel? Pretty comfy so far
Really love how people ignore stuff like GoG or Humble Bundle when talking about "real competition"
see. if game would come out on both systems, you could choose. Now you cant... And lot of these points you made are BS since for most of them are responsible developers or publishers... like loot boxes, charging for mods, early acces
GoG is where dead games no one really care about anymore go in retirement
>GoG
>Shit Bundle
Not real competition and no hard-hitting exclusives like Fortnite, Metro Exodus and Borderlands 3.
The only valid one is the cut.
Region locking is usually a publisher / government thing that they have to comply with, they don't charge for mods, loot boxes are a dev/publisher ordeal, I've never had a problem with overcharging at processing, and early access games are easily ignored and can hold some hidden gems.
Literally the only thing Epic has over Steam is a better cut for devs but that doesn't come back to the consumer in any way. There is literally zero reason to use the EGS unless it has some exclusive.
Still competition friendo. More competitive than EGS that's for sure, and DRM free and with no spyware to boot. You can't just say competition isn't competition because of some arbitrary rules.
>filter INDIE
>problem solved
Whats up with redditos and ther incapability of filtering shit?
They want to be Yea Forums so hard but they follow the oldest tradirion of sage n hide
Just swap to Gog. Kurwa mac!
>dont follow
>every major publisher
>ubisoft, ea, bethesda
>bethesda being the only recent one
>they came crawling back
Range ban china
Post your PC library, Sonytard.
I wonder who could be behind these posts.
Steam drones ding dong diddly seething
>ding dong diddly
Finna xrinfe at ya
isn't fortnite in early access despite it's success?
I dunno about you all, but Supraland is pretty fun.
Specifically, the PvE portion is in "Early Access."
Cause it's not done and probably won't be done for another 2+ years.
The BR is "done" in that they feel it's good enough for the general populous, hence why it's free.
>EGS just provided an option for those without the resources to make their own
I was unaware hosting your own website and setting up a simple paypal transaction for downloads of your game was too hard.
Additionally, Steam keys give Valve $0 and developers/publishers can sell them to whomever they want at whatever price they want. Last I checked, that's 0% to Steam, rather than 30%.
This Papercraft game looks pretty neat. For some reason it doesn't appear on my "new stuff" list.
Steam's metrics are region-specific.
So someone in Burgerland will have a different New & Trending from someone in China for example.
>I was unaware hosting your own website and setting up a simple paypal transaction for downloads of your game was too hard.
It's non-trivial, especially when you factor in fraud prevention and patching. Wby do you think Steam came along in the first place?
You forgot Activision, Microsoft and Epic.
And Valve is almost certainly paying Bethesda to return to Steam, hence the sudden about-face.
>when you factor in (stuff not entirely necessary to just sell a fucking game)
? Just finish it before you sell it then.
You do realise patches existed before Steam right?
Save Steam by not buying games on Steam. Maybe Valve will be motivated to count to 3.
>Buying out exclusivity deals
>Good competition
Choose one
>Tencent only having 40%
>Tencent is known to buy out / bribing share holders into doing their will
>Benefit devs at the cost of the consumers
>Game staying at the same price
>Not real competition and no hard-hitting exclusives like Fortnite, Metro Exodus and Borderlands 3.
PC did not not need cancerous console like exclusivity. You are either a retard or a shill if you think that it needs that kind of bullshit.
Steam is a cancer that killed pc gaming. The only thing it needs is death by chemo.
>whereas having a borderline monopoly to force people onto your platform is fine.
Steam never had a monopoly. The Epic Store, Discord Store, etc and key selling sites exist.
Steam never created artificial availability on the PC platform, the freest gaming platform there was.
Steam never fixed the prices at which games are sold for.
Meanwhile, Epic is violating the "Other competitors are not able to enter the market" sign of a monopoly, by making certain games exclusives, games that were supposed to be released on multiple PC gaming stores.
>Loot boxes and paid cosmetics
Fornite Exist
>Expensive payment processors
Good luck buying anything on Epic Store that is not USD
>"Early access" games
Forenite is literally in early access
Get fucked chink.
1989 Tiananmen Square massacre.
Hes a retard, thats for sure.
you can get steam to hide games with specific tags, like "early access", "crafting" or "survival"
>WORDS WORDS WORDS
I never knew that rating farms were a thing, but now I do and it's depressing.
it only works if posted in chinese
chink mods will also ban you for it
>the same images
>in the same order
>again
>Hard-hitting
>Fortnite
>Metro Exodus
>Borderlands
Kek
>Their launcher is shit
wait, GOG has launcher? I always download games directly from their page, and never had to install anything beyond game itself. Explain?
You can't
It blew up and got too popular.
It used to be that putting a game on Steam meant it sold. And that steam games were all at least decent. Not anymore.
Average price of a game on steam is 5 dollars
Average game sell 6600 copies, and falling.
The vast majority of games do not make enough to even bring in the equivalent of minimum wage for a SINGLE person, and that's before Valve's cut.
A not insignificant amouny of steam games sell 0 (zero) copies.
Over 25 games a DAY are released on Steam. And the number is climbing at an exponential rate.
It's becoming the App Store with a smaller install base and there's nothing you can do to stop it.
