I like the flexibility. Being able to choose from controller or kb+m is really nice. And the performance is also a big plus. Only true downside is the portability imo, consoles are slightly easier to take with you.

Emulation including speedup for slog parts.

None of the objective advantages of PC are big enough of advantage for me to switch from consoles.

I only like mods which
>unlocks framerate
>enhance textures, but keeps faithful to the original aesthetics
>allows you to edit FOV
>keybinds
Thats it really, putting porn or anime into every single game is lame.

What about all the games?

modlist or leave.

Emulation mostly

Nah, used to mod shit myself and use mods a lot, but that's when I spent countless hours on one game, nowadays there's too much shit coming out and not enough time to have like one thing I fire up every evening. It was always something I did after I exhausted a game, and playtime is rarely the deciding factor for a game's quality for me.

>What is your favorite advantage of PC gaming?
Performance and KB+M.

1440p 144Hz

complete meme

enjoy spending 3x the money for 15% improvements, what a fucking idiot lmao

archival purposes

the fact of a game coming out on PC means that someone has made a cracked package of it. While I may not ever even get it, it gives me peace of mind that the publisher can never P.T. that game and try to wipe it from existence

true, this exists for physical disks for console games, and even isos of those, but thats not as widespread as pc cracks

>What is your favorite advantage of PC gaming?
Not giving money to consoles.

Jesus 2018 was a slow year. Thank god 2019 is already looking pretty good for videogames.

I want to ask the opposite what is the advantage of consoles? Like never mind that you can use it for million things other than gaming and emulators, almost everything is being brought over here maybe you can cherrypick one or two games but that’s it.
Not to mention I can’t play shit like Endless Legend, RTS titles or PC specific games heck I can’t even play fucking eroge on consoles literally what’s the point? How can people even meme seriously that they only play on consoles?

>mods that largely extend the amount of fun that can be had with a single game, and propel it through entirely new dimensions, to the point some mods were turned into full-fledged games
>fan fixes and patches for shit devs won't fix, rendering unplayable games fucking perfection
>free multiplayer
>unlimited options for controls, head tracking and shit

PC is for people really passionate about vidya, console is just for consumers.

If the discord trannies that dwell through steam with trap avatars and gay as sin profiles did a parade you would have a stroke.

>able to turn off garbage graphics options like depth of field and motion blur
>able to change graphics so i'm not limited to a stuttering 20fps like consoles
>don't have to pay to play online
>better control options

Should I just play Skyrim modded to hell and back never played it vanilla cause its too boring. I just want good melee spells nice graphics with a fantasy vibe and occasionally stumbling upon whore houses. what will get me that?

> KB + M for FPS and other games that just don't play as well on a controller
> Controller option for games with the reverse issue
> Mods
> Emulation
> Can still play plenty of old games that don't get locked out because "If you're backwards compatible, you're really backwards"
> Can YARHAR games if I don't like the devs or want to try an Early Access game without dropping money on it, etc.
Exclusives and couch/party gaming with friends (locally) are really the only draws of consoles desu

>60 FPS
>Not having to pay for the fucking online
>Sales
>Built-in controller support
>Mods
>Able to remove the ugly fucking cinematic effects that devs shove onto every game nowadays
>Able to have an FOV slider
I could go on, but those are my biggest reasons.

No shit like ca, dof, blur etc
1:1 resolution no upscaling no taa
Kb&m controls
Texture mods like nier automata and 60fps
Dont have to pay for online

You’ll have to look into it yourself really and search what’s best but for starters in terms of perks/spells look into Ordinator and apocalypse-magic these two are a must if you ask me especially Ordinator.

So what are some mods? I love customizing games after I beat them honestly.

Oh, and I forgot the one thing that consoles will never have because Sony, MS and Nintendo are stinking liars:

Actual fucking backwards compatibility at the touch of a button.

Remember that all anthro girlsand some guys are built for human cock.

>Able to remove the ugly fucking cinematic effects that devs shove onto every game nowadays
MMMMMMM MOTION BLUR MMMMMMM GREY SHADERS MMMMMM DEPTH OF FIELD
How the fuck have so many devs not learned that this shit doesn't look good outside of fancy orchestrated E3 presentations?

I can install furry mods for Fallout New Vegas and kill them all with a custom Deagle

BASED

Publishers demand that games have to have those for MUH REALISM.
I don't even know why consoles don't get the option to turn that off. Are DOF and Motion Blur meant to hide the fact that consoles would melt into hot slag trying to actually render shit in the distance?

Makes sense. I remember Payday 2 having that DoF shit on by default and it was nauseatingly awful. I don't know if they fixed it because I never turned it back on but you genuinely couldn't see across the fucking street in the Bank level. Now that we have a bit more insight into how Starbreeze is managed by a fucking retarded orangutang I can easily see that being their idea.

After more than a decade of calling their consoles Gaystations I have finally been vindicated.

>install furry mod for NV
>throw in a fuckton of weapons
>turn off essential characters
>make yourself the only human
There, have fun, anons.

Mods are fucking lame. They were fun when I was like 9 and discovered I can give every npc in morrowind a unique face, but shit got stale. Doesn’t help that 99% of mods are fucking clunky as all hell even if the concept is appealing. Every single porn mod since oblivion/f3 were complete fucking garbage made by people too scared to upset people.
I can’t even remember a single mod I bothered with in the past 10 years.
Even full WAD-type mods are kinda lame now that there are so many actual games to choose from.

“Mods” like DSfix are a different matter, but then they are only good because the actual pc port is complete shit.

Only thing worthwhile are nwn module or BG tutu/trilogy kinda thing and even then the latter is so rare it’s not worth mentioning.

You're the meme, refresh rate is king

>only mentions modding to creation engine and DS
>modding is lame and clunky
Gee I wonder why, it's like.. the games are clunky and have limitations

I literally didn’t even mention creation engine modding.
99.99% of mods are clunk city.
DoW probably had the most quality mods ever considering the sheer scale, effort and assets that went into it, and it was still clunky.
IE games had hundreds of mods and likely the best AI mods ever, but they add essentially nothing to the experience.
Compared to those, the modern modding scene is complete fucking garbage only relevant for porn, shitty texture replacements, bug fixes, and lost causes (paradox games)

yar har fiddle dee dee

multitasking i guess. but that's sort of double edged sword. can do multiple things at the same time but makes it harder to concentrate on the game.

>daggerfall inventory menu pose

Yes, and?

Really, nothing.

>favorite advantage of PC gaming
versitality and having access to everything you need.

WHat I hate about PC gaming is that it seems to be a lot of hassle now and then. Software and hardware sometimes breaks or just refuses to work together forcing you to cash out hundreds of dollars for new things hoping it will fix your problems. Games are also getting more graphically advanced and demands fasterPC's, it's happening faster than I'm willing to buy new parts
I envy consolefags who can just buy the new console when it comes out, plug it in and play their games without worrying about anything breaking

Attached: CqHDtPTUMAI-G2c.jpg (842x1080, 113K)

added content, total conversion mods and graphics options. Also the free parasitic worms.

It's rather the opposite. I don't exactly see the advantages of consoles. For me what matters is how many of the great games I can play on each platform. Pc would be around 99%. PS4 and Switch would each have 1-2%.

It's one of the reasons but there's a number
>Customizable hardware
>System openness (as is how much I actually get to change on it)
>90% of my friends only own a PC
>I work in software and sysadmin
>I like 144Hz
Mods are just the cherry on the top

>What is your favorite advantage of PC gaming?
Performance/graphics options
A lot of games just run like shit on console and there's no option to turn graphics down to make them run better and there's no options to turn off obnoxious graphics like chromatic aberration, depth of field or sometimes even motion blur.

I only play PC exclusives on PC. Anything else is better on console. Mods are shit except for very rare circumstances and I almost never use them.

>What is your favorite advantage of PC gaming?
Most popular console games will eventually get a PC release. So it's pretty much the one and only "gaming system" I need.
