Blinded by nostalgia.
Straight up retarded.

It really is a shame no other ARPG has even come close to how good combat looks and feels in Diablo 3.

like clockwork

Path of Exile, and your inevitable contrarian denial to this fact is objectively wrong.

Agreed, mainly because every other aspect is utter garbage.

Ah yes, the mandatory sets that boost the damage of a single rune of a single skill by 10000% so you can remotely keep up with everyone using the exact same thing while everything else is worthless. Enjoy spamming one skill forever.

Poe isn't much better

>Blinded by nostalgia.
How so?
>D2
Tons of enemies coming at you and you blast them with the spells you choose

>D3
3 enemies coming at you and you blast them with one of the 3 spells at your disposal

Never played it, but can I have an army of robots while blasting things with shotguns and cannons?

>gameplay means only combat
>combat means only combat animations
double retard

but yeah, there is no Diablo-like with better combat animations

the combat means nothing when the game is so hollow. diablo 3 is basically just a top down beat-em up with no meaningful skill or loot system.

So?

so the game is shit, OP's opinions are shit, and this thread is shit.

>3 enemies coming at you and you blast them with one of the 3 spells at your disposal
Objectively and factually wrong.

Every game you don't like is shit?

True, but the presentation is half of what makes the combat good. You can have the most competently made combat system and no one will like it if all the skills effects look and feel like shit, and there's no feeling of impact or power to anything you or enemies do. It's like an action game without hitstop or screenshake, just those two little visual changes adds so much to every hit.

Yet you keep bumping it.

Many games don't require skill to play, that doesn't make them any less fun. You are one of those guys who thinks everything that isn't skillbased is trash. Let other people enjoy what they like, is it that hard?

On the other hand clunky gameplay can make any decent progression system meaningless as well

>ARPG
>good gameplay
sure I enjoy doing groceries and been able to unlock the skill to open the door when I get back to home

Why do I always get a strong 3rd world vibe from people who hate on D3? Oh right, because they can't afford it and are stuck with PoE.

they can't even play POE now since the game dropped XP support and has become increasingly toaster unfriendly with every update

GD. diablo 3 is fucking shit.

how is reaper of souls? I played D3 when it first came out like way back when you had guys with immunity buffs chained together and other bullshit enjoyed it very much it was basically like mini world of warcraft in terms of bosses. I heard they nerfed the shit out of it though.
I just don't get the incentive to replay the same content but with 'harder difficulty' like I killed Diablo once and was done with the game.

The seasonal set offered for Barb is the same set offered in 2016
Having the sets on rotation instead of simply making new sets sees that the ladder and the game itself being very stale

RoS turned the game from a 6/10 to a 9/10.

Path of Exile.

That was easy. Any questions?

There's been many changes since then an addition was Kunai's cube which allows for a lot of variation. You can essentially use the passive of any legendary weapon/armour without wearing it, on top of forging legendaries with common crafting materials in order to reduce the rng of loot drops. There's also a much more streamlined greater rift system, gone are the days when you had to do bounties for rift keys, now they drop from nephalem rifts.

The character building is better in PoE, but the game is ugly as sin and clunky as fuck.

Is the Necro in D3 worth it? I played it in D2, but I find D2 unplayable in this year, sadly. I'd buy it in D3 if you could go full on zoomancer

Dark Souls, Bloodborne
Wow that was easy

This thread is full of tourist opinions. D3 has legitimate flaws but none have been presented in this thread. "It's shit" is not an argument

>ignores post
ok have fun with your thread

> Diablo 1
> Diablo 2
> Titan Quest
> Path of Exile
> Grim Dawn
Everything is better than Diablo 3. I still remember my Crusader playtrough where despite bumping up difficulty whenever possible I never died. Not even once through whole game and expansion. I never felt that I was outsmarting the game. It was just designed to never challenge me in any meaningfull way. All I felt after beating it was "what a fucking waste of time".

It's a really fun class that's strong as fuck, but their best builds are centered around long cooldowns, which is not everybody likes.

Look up the playstyles and see if you enjoy them. I loved the bonestorm necro although it's not that viable for high GR runs. I got a good 150 hours on necro, so I'd say it's worth it

Can I still do like, a 20+ skelly with curse build?

I'll add that I never went into postcampaign content. And I admit that it had some very pleasant production values. Still, under nice skin was a shallow game where no matter the build no matter your actions you just proceed to stomp everything.

Titan Quest. Now kill yourself.

Diablo 1 is the only good Diablo.
If it had running it would be perfect.

Not 20+, but similar.

youtu.be/a48dfXZhyRs?t=558

>Wahhh the game is too easy!
Play hardcore, you will cry when you get your ass handed to you by a champion wasp jailer with arcane

You can get a key for pennies now.
It's time to move on from 2012 grandpa.

It's not that good, mainly because the actual mechanical aspect is basically just a cycle of cooldowns and resource generators/spenders.

grim dawn
but i admit that out of all arpgs i played (not many)
diablo has the best visuals

If they would remaster D2 it would be a more fun game than D3.

>an ARPG
>an

>an Ayy-Arr-Pee-Gee
You stupid bastard.

Something something monkey paw
You don't want that user.

This.

Not him but hardcore is not fun in this game. For reference, I'm a hardcore mode fanboy for all types of games but in D3 the nature of the difficulty levels just makes it a complete slog.

True, the game becomes more interesting but it doesn't last long and soon you'll be way too op for anything bar the top ladder grifts.

based dimwit

I hope diablo 4 isn't shit and also realizes that basing the game around a retarded cookie clicker grind is a fucking stupid idea

why are you typing in pirate language?

cookie clicker has more depth than d3 user

It depends on your playstyle.
If you play less aggressive than you normally would because you are afraid of losing your character ofcourse the game is going to be boring as fuck because you will always be over geared for the torment level/rift level you are at. Taking risks makes the game fun, especially when there are high stakes.

D3is shit because it’s paragon system is ass, it’s passive system is ass and it took them like 2 years to even make the end game content unique with season’s having set effects as a passive

>diablo 4
It's called Diablo Immortal, grandpa

No, it's not DI was not even developed by Blizzard. D4 was originally a soulslike but later scrapped and now it's going to a classic isometric ARPG.

Not him but D2 is far superior
>skill tree makes you allocate points with consequences
>way more complex loot system

Diablo 3
>blindly level up every skill
>no consequence in death
>mind numbing story and gameplay
>autistic end game

Yes d2 and d3 have the same gameplay type of style but d2 feels right and Diablo 3 gets supper stale and repetitive way way too quickly, can’t sit down and play for more than 30 mins without realizing wtf am I even playing this for, you don’t get out what you put in eg: wasting your precious time

How many characters did you lose playing like that already? Cause all it takes is one nasty combination of jailer/arcane enchanted or something similar and you RIP.

D3's season system is objectively shit. You get one set with 3000% damage bonus to certain skills. If you don't feel like playing that build, well tough fucking luck. Come back next season.

Not that guy but exactly 0. Mainly because I make super tanky builds no one uses. For example my thorns barb has 11bln toughness.

They should make an isometric soulslike. Or like, not a soulslike, just implement active defensive moves and checkpoint-based maps.

D3 is certainly king in gameplay department.

I play PoE these days but I really wish D3 would've gotten more content for me to play instead.

Because skill synergies and gameplay are much more smooth and varied in D3. In PoE its mostly passives with putting a basic lightning spell as trap being already close to the creative ceiling in terms of synergies.

In D3 you can switch skill styles on the fly, cast a huge dome under which time is slowed while casting explosives orbs or blades into it with meteors being procced. Its just way more interesting in terms of actual gameplay than PoE and even D2.
Its certainly the most fun to date in terms of gameplay and how fast and smooth things are in terms of progression.

I really hope they dont fuck up whatever they're doing with 4 in the future, but I have no hopes.
PoE also had its best years behind it and nowadays is just getting bloated with useless filler content, or stuff to make people buy more stash.
Someone needs to step up to the plate. I wouldnt mind if it was D4 but I'd accept any contender at this point.

Attached: 1553210751873.gif (256x192, 1.91M)

They've rectified that somewhat by having more sets being viable now but I see your point.

Yes you adapted your build to hardcore, just like I did.

The fag I replied to says he plays like normal though, which is a recipe for disaster with how the difficulty system works.

Blizzard really squandered D3, another expansion would've sold millions.

The game is objectively easy, it really doesn’t push you to try that hard to get past certain enemies without spamming potions and health skills. Bullet sponge debacle

And once you kill that enemy what do you really get in return? There’s not much incentive to play. It’s literally a number increasing game at that point

path of exile. pillars of eternity. dragon's dogma...

Blizzard's been doing a lot of squandering. Starcraft, diablo, overwatch. All of them are barely being maintained.

What the fuck are they even doing besides working on that shit warcraft 3 remaster

Obviously. D3 is one of the best selling games of all time.
It was such a huge mismanagement its not funny anymore.

Victor Vran

An for words beginning with a vowel

As a major SC2 fag I'm glad that they've been going with a more hand's off approach in our game. The game has been growing and thriving ever since David Kim stopped pushing his powerline retarded balance patches on us.

Upcoming patch is a liiiiiitttle interesting. A tiny bit...

Compared to just stacking a stat and spamming one ability? Boy, that sounds so much better!

I don't really care about the balance much, but there's other stuff they can add to SC2 in general. New coop commanders, other mini campaigns.like Nova's..

But barely anything happens.

been a while since i've seen some npcs

I never bothered with D3 at launch, got it last yearcas a gift and played it for a few hours.
Sure you can change everything on the fly but that means everything will feel exactly the same until you're grinding for stats. It's incredibly dull gameplay-wise, it avoids any kind of friction like your build just being shit against some enemies since you can do anything instead of trying to find a well working niche.
Gameplay wise it's inoffensive and geared towards console gaming.

I've played both. D3 is watered down nu-blizz trash. PoE is everything it should have been and tried to be.

Soulslike Diablo might have been pretty cool, but I can see why they'd rather stick with what works and what people know the franchise for

Maybe they'll reuse the concept for a spinoff? I'd definitely play it.

It's not about being too easy. It's about not giving tools to differentiate good and bad players. It has no strategical depth and meaningful choices.

it's already been release old man check your phone, oh wait it doesn't support your morse key.

Easy, Nioh. Diablo 3 does not have gameplay clicking stuff is not gameplay btw.

Attached: 1550607382000.gif (607x609, 821K)

Because you're a braindead BlizzShill

this pretty much Soulsborn, Nioh they are all better than fucking Diablo shit.

there are other games than diablo clones you know

I don't know if they've changed him much but last I recall he only had a single worthwhile build.

Found the mudhut poopskin.

Pushing GRs on hardcore is the only fun in this game.

It's fun but I still prefer the D2 necro.

>Found the mudhut poopskin.

Attached: 1545076576131s.jpg (201x250, 5K)

god they really fucked the color scheme in median

Attached: Screenshot008.jpg (1024x768, 854K)

was this UI designed by a neural network with autism?

Kinda skipped this season, what's 'new'?

I think he's referring to torment level 14 to 16 being added

Other than that it's just same shit with some minor tweaks.

What are the chances of real religious symbols being in diablo 4?

Attached: 1552658290276.jpg (807x1072, 76K)

>What are the chances of diablo 4?
Unlikely that's what

makes no sense that blizzard wouldn't make a sequel to the best selling game ever

Diablo 3 = holding LMB until you need to hold RMB

As far as I know they've changed their minds twice now about what the core game should be.

If it happens at all, it won't be until years from now.

I've lost 3 characters at Max rank

Diablo 1, Diablo 2, Torchlight 2, Grimdawn. The only ARPG worse then D3 is fucking Path of Exile.

you forgot rolling your face along the 1-4 keys constantly

Interesting I guess
Not sure why they don't just make torment levels up to just before the 'wall' where even a completely min-maxed everything bis perfect rolled with perfect play build can no longer legitimately finish a GR is

Why is PoE worse? I see it being shilled (for free) on this board often.

At least for me, the skill and level system is incredibly boring. It makes everything feel super samey until much later when it just becomes autism simulator. If you enjoy min maxing you may enjoy it, but the skills tied to gems is fucking retarded.

I hope they offer a campaign that feels like something more than just a warmup for the eternal grind you're about to set out on.

X-men Legends 1&2 for diablo-style
KH II Final Mix for the entire genre.

New torments + LoN global buff. Finally my favourite build is back.

Do you not have a phone?

I keep meaning to give LoN a try

Every season I start and I'm having fun while leveling to 70. Then I'm doing some rifts and the realization sets in I'm going to be doing this and nothing else for the rest of my time, and I lose all interest to keep playing.
