If this is possible on the switch what else could be ported? I think the switch could run Resident Evil 2 remake. It isn't a big open world game, there aren't many NPCs on screen. Narrow tiny areas. Why shouldn't they be able to port it?
Would RE2 work on the switch
If you lower the res enough anything can work on the switch. whether it looks and plays any good is another question though.
But Hellblade looks great on the switch.
hellblade is a game from almost 3 years ago, running on different hardware with different requirements
its not even comparable to RE2. best chance you switchniggers have for a nu-capcom game is DMC5 due to them targeting 60 fps on ALL platforms (which worked very well on X1 and PS4, whilst also running at that checkerboard 4k shit)
It can't even run the original ps1 game lol
are you absolutely retarded or absolutely retarded?
you sure ? I can run SotN just fine on mine, didn't try re1 yet though
Both RE2 and DMC5 will probably come on the Switch Pro when it gets announced later this year, at 30 fps and butchered resolution
Screencap this
Hellblade cheats by switching to FMV's whenever there's a cutscene. It only gets away with it because the game is like 3 hours llong.
RE2 on Switch wouldn't work. The base console versions can't even hit 60fps so there's no way the Switch would make it to 30
yes
Did RE2 use UE4?
Honestly, anyone with brain can predict that
and Ark looks like shit, whats your point?
i think his point is: switch is not bottlenecked by the hardware, but developers skill and lazyness
lol
does the switch run on 15 fps or something? looks awful
Runs 60fps
shitch can't run even minecraft without patchs
>the voices are random gamer comments
Made me giggle
This thread remind me when Yea Forums trying to compare Vita port of RE Rev2 with PS4 version
It matters more what tech the engine supports than how good the game looks. Doom and Wolfenstein 2 could be ported to switch because their idtech engine has built in Vulkan API support, which improves performance efficiency considerably.
Why is that? Also are you sure switch pro will get exclusives? I'm sure all switch systems will be able to run the same games. Just some will do it better.
Yeah in 480p at 20fps
The Vita came out in 2012 with portable hardware.
This is an end of 2017 full priced tablet
>Hellblade despite practically being a walking simulator ran so poorly on the Switch that they had to replace in-engine cutscene with pre-recorded ones
>this is an argument for why RE2, a game with much more going in terms of environmental detail, enemy count and enemy behavior, could run on the Switch
I doubt it. If it could handle RE2R then they wouldn't have tried to release RE7 on the switch via streaming.
Nintendo learn from Wii U mistakes. They want push Switch to go mainstream with 3rd party support as possible but they can't do it with current model and that's why Switch Pro is thier best solution right now
I believe that Switch Pro is definitely happen and it will get massive spec upgrade and have 3rd party exclusives port more than DSi or N3DS
As an owner of a base model ps4 and a switch and knowing about the mess of re7 STREAMED in japan for the switch I doubt it would handle re2 remake, far far too much to handle graphically alone without major sacrifices
But how long until re5 and 6 come to the switch, if the switch can't handle those 2 it'd be pretty pathetic considering it runs bayonetta damn well
it has already been said the switch pro won't be as big a jump as even the ps4 pro which is piss all in itself
I want the switch pro to be a massive leap but they risk hurting/splitting/confusing consumers, all those mothers getting refunds because their little fortnight kid can't run devil may cry 5 on his switch because the box has plastered SWITCH PRO ONLY and no one read it at all and the mother ignored the store worker's pleas
idtech is marvelous it really is
Just give us Ninja Gaiden Black already!
30 fps with framepacing issues.
Especially ark developers.
If you want an RE fix on Switch just play Revelations 2. Most over-the-shoulder Resident Evils are practically the same game
