Absolutely nothing that they have said or what anyone knows about this game makes it seem like its going to be anything but aggressively mediocre at best. The golden age of Star Wars games has been dead for over a decade and the only game they have even cited as an influence for this is one of the last shitty games the dying Lucasarts pushed out, TFU. TFU was fucking garbage, it literally played like any of the endless buttonmashing movie tie in games being shat out for X franchises still back in the 7th gen but with a star wars skin and an admittedly fun physics system for ragdolling things with the force grip. That was it, a zero depth, buttonmashing 5-6 hour long licensed game. The sequel was the same thing but for 2.5 hours instead and two lightsabers instead of just one.
They are desperately trying to pull the "its singleplayer only for reall!!1" marketing angle for this as if that was a fucking feature to tout here. Its no DMC, its no ninja gaiden and its certainly no fucking battlefront 2 where even offline millions of kids played endless custom games for years due to the way the game was built and structured. If this is "singleplayer only" it means its a gwafix movie game that lasts for 10 hours, with shallow gameplay so every "nurd" who likes star wars can see the end credits. Its no jedi knight where you have actually good gameplay, a singleplayer and then multiplayer to spend 10 years on whenever you get the star wars boom (which doesnt happen now that disney killed it).
And yes, maybe im completely wrong and they have made something that has to be singleplayer because of the way it works and the lightsaber/ force/ mobility systems are so complex, well tied together and fun to use that its actually worth it. Even then I probably wouldnt buy EA disney shit

It actually has some legit gameplay, especially compared to the rest of the franchise. The only issue is way too much slowmo and i-frames on your executions but otherwise it's definitely stand-out as an actually good hack n' slash for its time.
