So I finished the game, enjoyed it, went to go straight into NG+ like I did with Demons Souls, Dark Souls and Bloodborne, but I just didn't feel it? Something is missing in Sekiro, I know the term is overused on here, but it doesn't have as much soul and charm as DS and BB, is it just me or?

Haven't beat it yet but I'm kinda sick of just having a sword I know you get your tools but it'd be nice if there were different weapons for different playstyles
Sekrio and Bloodborne lack souls
OP here, even when I say I enjoyed the game, it was good, but not great, didn't enjoy it anywhere near as much as I did with Demons Souls, Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Nioh
I got bored with nioh haven't even finished it sekiro is good but it really needs additional weapons or something. It's very linear and I imagine a replay will feel incredibly samey
The few journos who aren’t shit mentioned how NG+ kind of sucks and why
frontlinejp.net
OP here. Yeah NG+ feels exactly the same, literally nothing changes from what I can tell, I think I take a bit more posture damage but that's it. I also have Kuros charm which activates a hard mode like the demon bell does. Besides that, nothing changes on NG+ and there's no real reason to play besides getting the platinum if you care enough to get it. Story, world and characters didn't hook me enough to go through it again anyway.
Shit game
OP here. It's definitely my least favorite FromSoft game. I actually Dark Souls 2 more than this.
sekiro is like 10 times better than nioh though with it's diablo loot and 7 enemy types.
pleb
OP here. Yeah it really does suck ass, I did everything in the first playthrough besides two prayer beads and don't really feel the want or need to go through again to get em.
OP here. I did finish Sekiro, did everything besides 2 prayer beads, the game just lacks personality. For as fucky as DS2 was, it still had it's charm, unlike Sekiro.
Sekiro would have been better off it had actual harder difficulties with rebalanced enemy spawns and more bosses similar to Ninja Gaiden.
2 had tons of options as far as playstyle and shit. I'm kinda pissed I haven't even found an alternate outfit for sekiro. I mean come on from
Oh, so your opinion should be discarded. Pack it up, boys.
OP here - I agree, like I've said to everyone on here, NG+ in Sekiro is really dull. A new weapon would have at least been nice.
If you say "OP here" one more time I will literally find you and break your knees.
OP here, exactly my point, DS2 was fucky, yes, but it had more variety than Sekiro. Sekiro is pretty dull when it comes to playstyle, you can only really play one way, no one really has a different experience besides maybe what they found difficult and didn't find difficult.
I love watching peoples opinions shift on a game over the first month or so its out. 1st week everyone loved it now the general opinion is lukewarm at best.
Alright, I warned you. Kiss your fucking knees goodbye, redditor.
The core fault with this game for me - particularly in NG+ - is damage. Enemies kill you in 2-3 hits. You win in 40-60 hits even with max damage. WTF?
OP here. Come and get me, coward. You literally can't do anything besides get angry. Fuck off.
7 enemy types? Kek. I think you meant to say that about sekiro? With the dlc theres a shit ton of enemies that even get thrown into early areas as well.
It's the souls cycle. In months people will vehemently defend it as the best. I'll be one of them because I loved the absolute fuck out of it
I want to experiment more with the tools but they seem kinda shitty. The mobs are to weak and the bosses are to aggressive trying to axe a boss just gets you combo'd and axing a mob kills them instantly they need to add some two dot enemies that respawn
OP here, I didn't really like it at the start either, I kept saying "This is just Nioh but not as good" the entire game was, alright.
OP here, I've literally never used Reddit.
OP here, if you think Nioh was better than Sekiro you're the epitome of mentally handicapped. Nioh is the worst case scenario of a souls game because it misses the point entirely. Similar to Sekiro.
ng+ without the charm is a lot of fun, it's something i never bothered with in souls games
OP here. Honestly it just makes me wanna replay Nioh.
OP here, it doesnt matter how much you experiment with the tools because they will never be as deep as the builds in the proper souls games.
Real OP here, FUCK I can't disprove this, I am OP, but whatever, fuck it, I should just set a name rather than Anonymous.
OP here, even with no charm and demon bell it doesnt mean anything. Because it doesnt change the core gameplay like Dark Souls does with it's different builds.
NG+ is basically just a boss rush mode as you avoid every single enemy and just run to the next sculpture.
OP here, honestly there's no reason to touch the game again after Genichiro because you get the point of the game and have mastered the combat system. I dropped it there and felt fine.
REAL OP here. I was wrong when I said all you can do is get angry, now you're pissing me off, you clever cunt.
Just to give an example of I want I mean with sekiro and why I've been let down a bit. I got lost at senpou because I hadn't found kuro yet usually try not to use guides but finally look it up go and whip genchiros ass and all that. finally get too holy child number two and get mortal blade. I'm kinda hyped because I'm hoping its a new weapon. Nope just a shitty ability
OP here, exactly the best way to describe it, in NG+ you can reach the end in a couple hours.
OP here, it's likely because the combat focused shift in the series only allows for just that. You can only fight and find enjoyment unlike Dark Souls in which you can make builds and the level design is challenging.
Sekiro doesnt really have multiple playstyles or builds. It's more meant to be played once and put down.
There's just not much reason to replay beyond different endings and more difficulty if you want that. I feel NG+ in general is added just because they feel it's expected, Kuro's Charm should've been an option right away.
OP here, this is exactly what I'm saying. In the Dark Souls series of games with its various builds you can circumvent this problem by building your character differently.
Yeah because all the garbage like you has given up trying to beat the game
OP here, even if they added DLC it wouldn't fix the problem because you cannot make new builds when building your builds. So you lose replayability because there is only one weapon and no exploration.
OP here, I beat the game easy enough. But I cannot build builds so I have nothing to do outside of the various endings.
some people are sculptors others are builders
REAL OP here, stop trying to derail my thread, dickhead.
I'm sure you cheesed everything like a tard
>lmao game is ez
Sure pal
LITERALLY OP HERE AAAA I'm actually finding this kinda funny now :^)
OP here, I literally can't stop sucking dicks
OP here, mastering deflect is done by the time you hit Butterfly or Genichiro. The tools only serve to trivialize the game even further but to not add depths like the builds in the Dark Souls series. I got the best ending on my first run because I'm so used to proper exploration, the linear level design of Sekiro was to simple for me after Dark Souls.
>is it just me or
yes, I'm enjoying ng+ just as much as in previous games, maybe even more. combat is simply better than ever and experimenting with tools is fun
NG+ sucks because :
World feels small. Revisiting it doesn't really feel all that interesting.
By the time you beat SS Isshin you have the game mechanics fully absorbed and no enemy should really pose a challenge, even if they're slightly more difficult.
Health damage is already pretty high so making it a bit higher makes no difference when the goal is not to get hit anyway.
Apart from a couple of bosses most of them are pretty lame and not worth revisiting.
I guess you can try a different "build" of the character but it's hardly worth it.
TRUE OP HERE! Honestly it's not funny, I was trying to have honest discussion about how the build diversities of the Dark Souls give way for more replayability in Dark Souls games as well as Bloodborne in which you can also build builds.
OP here, fuck off stop derailing my thread. I just want to talk about sucking big veiny weiners.
...R-real OP here, I give up, you win, take me.
OP here, this doesnt refute anything I said in the OP post that I posted.
See He explains why the builds of Demon Souls, Dark Souls, and Bloodborne is superior to Sekiro very style. Tools are not enough to replace builds.
OP here, would you please stop saying OP here. I don't care about build variety and honestly think Sekiro is the worst game ever. Only fags play it.
Will I like this if I like the Souls games for the boss fights and think their rpg systems are complete trash
Same, they should've put more effort in the level design aspect of the game, there's not much to explore even on NG, i skipped most enemies in NG+ and quit after Genichiro, it just feels pointless.
Original poster here - you guys are assholes, similar to the on in that picture of Mario in which he is spreading his polygonal anus. I'm going back to where everyone agrees with my dissection and the effects of builds on those games.
OP here, can confirm fags plays Sekiro as I have indeed played it.
OP here, Demon Souls, Dark Souls, and Bloodborne do not have trash RPG systems so it is impossible to answer your questions.
Original poster here - you're a pretty cool guy. Yuo kill aleins and doesnt afraid of anything.
OP here, thanks.
I'm still coming for those knees, you redditor faggot.
OP here, fuck niggers and fuck kikes.
NG+ has always been pointless in from games
there's nothing new in NG+
unless you're going for achievements, it's better to just start a new game from the beginning
OP here, your opinion is shit.
TRUE OP HERE! I would never say this as I would risk being banned by the moderation team for this board.
Wow OP you're a real piece of shit
OP here, no the bigoted post is not me. I swear, please do not report me. I only wanted to express my feelings about Demon Souls, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro
Stop playing it, then.
OP here, that's what I am doing which is why I am here to talk about builds, Demon Souls, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro.
Too late sorry. Maybe next time you should think before posting.
OP here can't believe OP would say something like that, reported.
OP here, will I need to make a new account on this site?
OP here, I think you'll be arrested by the FBI.
OP here, I'm telling you that wasnt me!
OP here, it was me.
>I also have Kuros charm which activates a hard mode
no it doesnt. having it disables hard mode, retard
OP here, guys seriously, you're going to get me banned.
OP here, I think Sekiro fucking ROCKS
memes
>location = here
Oh fuck that got me good
OP here, I hope this goes to other threads so fuccboi has to see it and realize he is a faggot forever.
I still really enjoy it, and think mainline Souls games have a lot to learn from Sekiro. The speed of combat, the deflect system, the verticality and platforming, the generally improved movement, these are all things that I think could be implemented moving forward. However, AI needs an overhaul to keep up with the ridiculous mobility if it's to remain. Series ratings for me still fall into this line
BB>DaS1>Sekiro>DeS>DaS3>DaS2
Really we just need BB2 with some Sekiro elements, but god I really don't want to buy a PS5 or whatever it will be.
I was going to OP here but that's a pretty agreeable listing
OP here, I'd polish the nipples on that armor with my mouth.
I also dropped it after beating it. Played NG+ for about an hour but then I just felt completely done with it. No motivation to beat it again. I'm really thorough with games and I beat every possible boss/miniboss that's possible when you do the return ending. That was enough for me.
OP here, cool story bro
>there are people ITT who haven't already done damageless shura% speedruns
Go back to resetera.
No, Nioh is better in every way but combat. Nioh has better atmosphere, story, lore, enemies, bosses, world design, etc.... it's also a hell of a lot more fun . I still really enjoyed Sekiro but it isnt nearly as good.
OP here, damageless is entirely possible for me because I used a trainer and I feel fine.
OP here! Eat a dick shitposter.
OP here, OP here. OP here OP here, OP here? OP here LOL
Boy I sure do love sucking black cocks.
OP here, OP is actually triggered XD
Op here, I
I'm on Playthrough #4 and I'm trying it without no kuro's charm and with the demon bell. I finally got to Isshin and it's fucking impossible
>Sekiro 100% achievement is sitting at 2.8%
>making it From's easiest game to 100% so far
>with DS1 sitting at 2.2% being the hardest
It's because the game itself is very short. You already beat the game and explored the world for the most part. If it wasn't for the shit difficulty, most people would finish the game within 5 hours or so. Bosses are just roadblocks that make you spend more time with the game, it's nothing new that a game tries to pad its playtime with difficulty though but by the time you defeat a boss it feels like you're on your 30th playthrough due to the core of the game.
While in Soulsbourne games you have a vast world to explore, there is nothing like that in Sekiro. Even the sidequests and NPC are boring and kinda bland.
You won't see anything new, there are no new builds and you had access to all tools in the first playthrough already. It wouldn't be much different if you got some new tier/tools anyways.
The combat system feels kinda bland, it could be deep but the game does not use it properly. Mobs are very weak, stealth is even easier than in The Two Thrones but less fun, if you fuck up you can just bail and it doesn't even matter at all. You can outrun enemies in this game pretty easily and they give up fast.
It's a decent game though
Sekiro would have been better if it had a proper difficulty in the first place. It's just that enemies do a shitload of damage and it's not unusual to die in 1-2 hits. That's the only reason why this game is difficult.
Go to a boss like Lady butterfly towards the end of the game and it's shiteasy even on your first try just because you don't die so fast anymore.
And honestly positioning in Sekiro doesn't matter much. Even though in Soulsbourne (and many other games) you dodge a lot, it's still important to consider your position and where you're going to end up after the dodge.
In Sekiro this is not important. Windows are huge and you're safe if you pressed the right button, many times I pressed jump very late against a sweep and even though I should've taken a hit, I was safe.
OP here, nice blog.
>Nioh is the worst case scenario of a souls game because it misses the point entirely.
What?
>but combat
I think Nioh actually took the Souls combat and expanded it. Different weapons with skillsets, the stances and stamina management all add to the gameplay.
While there aren't many different enemy types, they are very different. You approach each one in a different way and I think all the possible lineups make you change your approach, at least until you start to hit lategame and destroy everything in your way.
Is Kuro a member of the Hirata family (vassals of Ashina) who just happened to be born divine?
Yep about the same got 2 hours into NG+ and realized that it was the same, they could have at least game the enemies new attacks or changed placement
OP here, please stop trying to derail my thread. I am trying to have an honest discussion about Sekiro.
What platforming? The verticality is a good point but doesn't the Souls games already have that?
It's just that you zip around in Sekiro while in Souls you had to fight your way through (or walk around in DaS2).
>deflect system
Are you serious? It's so damn easy and you can barely fuck it up at all. It's AssCreed tier counter.
>speed
The speed comes mostly from ditching the stamina management
OP here, this guy isnt actually OP, but I agree.
>they could have at least game the enemies new attacks
Kinda obvious they wouldn't.
Especially after facing Owl2. Owl1 was kinda easy but at least it wasn't just "lmao I'm fast and deal a lot of damage", it felt like it was trying to be smart and use a lot of tools.
>change placement
How would that make anything different? You don't need to defeat enemies most of the time and you can dash/zip right through them
OP here, excuse me, I am the real OP. I don't know why you keep trolling in my thread. Please leave.
I like it but I would’ve preferred another soulsborne game. I like souls games because of their replayability. This is a single player action game, meaning 0 replayability after you get plat.
OP here, both of these guys are lying. I'm the true OP and I can prove it
OP here. All I wanted was a discussion about Sekiro Shadows Die Twice but instead, I got mocked. Can we get back on point please?
Kind regards,
OP
OP here, yeah I guess. Sorry about that.
Sincerely,
Actual OP
Will the real OP please
