Yes thread

Yes

It was better than Galaxy 1 and made the running theme of great design by having you do new shit every level

no, its a solid 8.0+
the levels were better than smg1 but no hub world brought it down slightly imo

9.8

Yes, it's the best Mario Game of all time

no
>OMG JUMP UP SUPERSTAR IS A BOP HAHA IM SO NOSTALGIC HAHA ITS LIKE FREAKING DONKEY KONG REMEMBER THAT GAME??

All of these. Odyssey doesn't even come close to being as consistently entertaining as creative as Galaxy 2 was.

No, but it's a solid 9/10 at the very least. Best 3D Mario game to date.

>shitposter can't even understand the topic of the thread
Yikes.

Everything about this picture pisses me off because with the exception of GTA4 they are all the worst fucking games of their respective franchises.

>MGS4 and V
>Chrono Cross and not Chrono Trigger
Jesus fucking christ just stop.

No, but Super Mario Galaxy 1 does. 2 is inferior despite popular opinions.

Yes, it's slightly worse then Galaxy 1 but still hands down the best game of the decade

Low effort bait or genuine Zoomer
Ocarina, Journey, Cross, Galaxy 2, SoulCalibur & BOTW all deserve a 9.5 or 10/10

Yes, how about now that we all agree on Galaxy 2, Does Mario Odyssey deserve a 10/10?

People only shit on Galaxy 2 because don't have "muh rosalina story"

I love both odyssey and galaxy 2, but I do think that a lot of moons in odyssey were more about quantity over quality, but I think that they can fix that in a sequel.

>Thinking Galaxy 2 is the worst when S*nshine exists
Spotted the GC babby.
Eh they both have their merits, but I still prefer Galaxy 2 for the level design and increased difficulty.

Fuck no. Moons are fucking gay. At least it serves as a good reminder as to why collectathons are dead.

This, i'm honestly incredibly excited about BOTW 2 & Odyssey 2. The originals laid a great foundation for the perfect game. They succeeded at everything past games failed at, so now adding back series tradition will be incredibly easy since they've been doing it for decades.

No. Probably the worst next to Sunshine for non-completionists like myself.

I don't look for moons; I look for fun and challenge, and that excludes like half the mooons in the game. 3D World didn't have this issue. There you just pick the next level and get both every time.

>Cross
>Deserving anything more than a very generous 7/10
Don't make me post the pic showing just how fucking ass backwards and retarded both the combat system is and how nonsensical and contradictory the story is. Also any game that relies on literally in-universe retconning it's prequel deserves nothing but a 1/10 for it's story alone.

>Ocarina of Time wanking
I bet your fucking asshole you didn't even play that game to the fullest otherwise you would know that by the end of the game the combat feels extremely slow and tedious even compared to other games that came out that era.

>Galaxy 2
Okay I'll give you that.

>Journey
Haven't played so i'll reserve my opinion.

>BotW wanking
The game wasn't even a fucking Legend of Zelda game. It was literally just Skyrim with less NPCs, a even less coherrent story, no magic or alchemy system worth a shit and the ability to climb walls. After beating the game on Master Quest the literal only thing to do is collect Korok shits for the next 10 hours. It's a good game but far from a perfect 10/10

>galaxy 2 and botw
No

Galaxy 2 makes Odyssey look like shit

wow you are a massive faggot

They aren’t even announced yet, though they are probably happening. I just don’t want you to get your hopes up in case something bad happens.

no it's a 6/10 at best. it's no masterpiece

> Chrono Cross (Stays)
> Ocarina of Time (Stays)
> SoulCalibur (Stays)
> Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Stays)
> Journey (Stays)
> Bayonetta 2 (Stays)
> Super Mario Galaxy (For Odyssey)
> Chrono Trigger (For MGS4)
> Resident Evil 4 (For Witcher 3)
> Majora's Mask (For BOTW)
> Final Fantasy VI (For Divinity 2)
> Shadow of the Colossus for (Uncharted 4)
> Metroid Prime (For MGS5)
Their, now the Picture is somewhat Accurate

If the worlds had felt like they belonged to a single overarching hub world or something the game would be absolutely perfect. The line map that you use to pick which world to visit is uninteresting and breaks the flow/immersion.

Super Mario World and Super Mario Bros 3 at least had an interesting map that made the levels you played feel cohesive and migrating between worlds made sense. It also gave you the opportunity to have secret/branching paths. The shitty map is my biggest complaint about the game.

Faggots on here without even playing Odyssey will criticize it because of their contrarian youtuber friend review. You don't have to collect everything to complete it (and if you completed the game you know that it's a masterpiece)

>If the worlds had felt like they belonged to a single overarching hub world or something the game would be absolutely perfect.
This is one of my biggest problems with the game, it's why I prefer 1 over 2 even though 2 is technically the superior game by far. I'm a sucker for atmosphere, and Mario Galaxy 1 captured so perfectly the vastness, hostility, mystery, and incomprehensibility of space, but also it's incredible beauty at the same time. Mario Galaxy 2 doesn't capture this nearly as effectively and the lack of an observatory-like hub world is one of the biggest reasons why. In Galaxy 1 I really felt like I was traveling an enormous distance from the domes to the various galaxies, and the power of space travel really felt like a power. In Galaxy 2 everything feels much more cramped, though I did enjoy how the backgrounds of each world slowly zoomed out to give the illusion of distance, though it's still not nearly as effective as Galaxy 1 was.

Also the final boss battle with Bowser was shit. Fix those 2 things and Galaxy 2 would probably have been my favorite game of all time.

hell no

Its braindead easy, alot of the moons are just walk somewhere and use hat on [], and they had SO much potential for hat captures too, but theyre all restricted to very specific instances

Imagine using it on the T rex and being able to use it all over the level until a timer ran out, or the chain chomp, but no, he cant go farther than his small area without glitches

I meant that for Odyssey, but it does apply to Galaxy 2 as well. Even the New Super Mario Bros games had a good way to go between levels. Hell, even Super Mario Bros 1 had you go down a pipe to get to the cave/sewer level which helped keep flow.

Well you didn't have to collect all the moons to complete the game. And if you only follow the main story you still get about 10-15 hours like the other games. I do agree with you, there's a lot of pointless moons but it takes nothing from the game for me

No, 1 was better and the only bing bing wahoo game that I can complete multiple times

Galaxy 1-2, 64, Bros 3, World & TTYD are all masterpieces

i guess

it would if it weren't insultingly easy
