Oops I destroyed the evidence that would absolve me were I innocent infront of everyone

what the fuck is this game

Everyone loves britbongs to death.

There's a reason why this game dubs this specific timeline "the dark age of the law". The standards we're really fucking primitive.

I saw so many people super excited to play this, then a few days later say how awful it was and how it wasnt worth the wait. Sucks that its so bad

Wasn't the DARK AGE OF THE LAW in the 2020s?

Yeah I'm definitely not a big fan so far.
Case 2 was pretty fuckin bad too so I'm hoping maybe the game turns it around soon.

the dark age of the law is ALWAYS

Out of curiosity what was bad about case 2?

I thought the whole mystery of how the locked room became a locked room was faaar too drawn out and spelled out for you, and there was too big a pause with everyone just accepting "yup, must've been an accident" before the legal assistant decided to remind everyone that doesn't make sense either.
Probably just because it was still basically the beginning of the game and it was just introducing you to its new gimmick, but the writing just felt lackluster.
Also Asogi dying to a little girl pushing him over felt unsatisfying, especially with how abrupt his death at the beginning was.

>dump all the budget into making DGS the most polished AA ever
>forget to write good cases and plot

honestly sort of sad that a game these people translated for free is this mediocre, is DGS 2 better?

More of the same.
Has cuter girls tho.

and this girl is an autopsy doctor and also a necrophiliac

>the perfectionist detective somehow failed to mention that there's a blood on one plate and fucking huge chunk of gold on another
Also, why did he just easily admit that he stole the koban? I don't remember if there's any evidence that's incriminating him.

Is capcom still trying to figure out how to spin it as california?

why did he draw a diagram that was absolutely no use on a piece of paper that revealed his identity?

>implying he's dead

the real reason these games will never come to the west

Why would you reply with this

Considering it's never coming out outside of Japan, I doubt it.

don't forget about how unreliable the killers plan was
>I'll just poison him and hope nobody is around so I can sneak away, and I sure hope nobody remembers who ate with him
>I'll just throw a gun on the ground, hope that student picks it up without noticing Watson is death and then shoot Watson, I sure hope nobody looks at the source of the gunshot to see me shooting him and instead they look at the student for some reason
>I sure hope the police never inspects how many bullets were loaded in the gun

Because you should feel the disappointment now than when 2 gets translated

That's not true.

gregson dies

I don't know you, but I'm loving this game, Case 4 is solid so far, I only hated Case 3.

Attached: TheGreatAceAttorney010.png (400x480, 86K)

>I only hated Case 3.
Why's that?

it was boring without any investigation.

>I only hated Case 3.
That sounds discouraging, because I don't like Case 1 and 2 so far.

Not him but
>very obvious culprit, the second you meet him he already seems shady as fuck and not trustworthy at all
>very obvious what direction the trial would go
>second half is pants on heads retarded, anyone with half a brain could counter Naruhodo's arguments that are not even supported by evidence, they are only possibilities that barely work and even then they contradict evidence
>the bloodstains can be discovered like 2 mins into the second half and unless you are retarded you figure out instantly what is going on, but the game takes 30 minutes to have Naruhodo realize it
>the bloodstains were suspicious as fuck and only created more contradictions that Van Zieks never points out

well, at least Vampire Edgeworth is a cool prosecutor.

Except is 100% right because a LOT of the dialogue involves the brits being colossal bigots to Naruhodo and Susato for being Japanese among other issues.
It just lacks the same charm and the writing is tries way too hard to be extremely crazy/wacky with the twists but it's not working. The gameplay is the best it's been when it comes to how the mechanics work but there's so much wrong with a lot of the plot it's stupid.
>British girl breaks evidence in front of everyone and no one bats an eye
>still get her declared guilty but whoops, can't throw her in jail cause she's getting shipped to brit land instead!
>This ship full of Russian sailors somehow had enough sleep drugs to make everyone pass out
>Somehow do all of this and make the ship stop just to fake every door closing so no one suspects
>Charismatic money lender is clearly guilty but you manage to get him technically innocent because there's not enough evidence for anyone to convict him
>He gets burned alive anyway for it just to make the prosecutor seem like more of a big deal
I'm forcing myself to finish it but holy fuck.

Actually the original plan was sound because the poison was undetectable and it was only found out because what's her name and the professor searched the English woman's stuff and found the book.

If everything had gone according to plan, English woman would slip the poison to the professor, he'd die from suffocation due to paralysis. and because autopsy are shit tier back then, they'd assume it was just old age or something.

Ancestor Wright mucked things up by talking to Watson so it created a witness and english girl needed to come up with a plan fast. That's why she did the pistol thing and shot Watson to frame Ancestor Wright. It seems stupid early on, but it sorta makes sense when you think it out.

*ahem*

His only problem was he had a big mouth and had to deal with not one, but two retards to fuck up his plan.

Well, why didn't she just poison him and when he fainted pretend to be shocked and call for help?

Let's not forget that Naruhodo's whole defense plan 90% of the time is to just point out any random contradiction and possibility he can with no proof whatsoever and the jury and judge just let him do it. Nick at least had some backing by evidence when he pulled these stunts most of the time.

Didn't want to risk that Ancestor Wright saw anything. If he noticed her putting something in the drink, there was always the off chance they'd find the poison, even though it only worked through an open wound there is again the off chance they'd put two and two together about Watson's surgery. She didn't want to risk it and thus came up with that haphazard plan to frame Ancestor Wright.
Plus she wouldn't know if he would faint before initiating the plan. So there was that too.

So he's just like Phoenix Wright.

ONE WEEK BEFORE THAT CASE

I'm with you there, in other games the second the MC starts bullshiting they say "Evidence is everything in court" and you need to present evidence that supports the theory
Meanwhile Naruhodo comes up with an alternate possibility, the prosecution denies it and then Naruhodo uses evidence to deny his denial while not supporting his original theory at all
Eventually someone confesses for no reason and he finally has a confirmation that his theory was the right one and he wins
It's lame as fuck

No. Like said, the game barely tries to stop Naruhodo from doing this shit whereas Phoenix gets consistently cockblocked by the prosecution who is much more likely to catch on to his BS. Von Zieks tries to do the same but the plot to this game is much much more lenient on Naruhodo than it is on Nick.

What setup on Citra are people using to make it not run like ass

I can't seem to configure it properly

I think most people here are running the CIA on a hacked 3DS.

How hard is it to hack one? Do I need an SD card?

>How hard is it to hack one
Not even remotely hard but you'll need several hours for all the hacks to install plus all the times you have to remove the SD and add more shit. Go to /hbg/ or r/3dshacks for more info
>Do I need an SD Card
Yes. Once you hack it, it's permanently needed to use the hacks.

Thanks user, the fact that there is a general on /vg/ will help a bunch. I look forward to playing it.

Good luck, user. I hope it works out for ya.

She was in cahoots with the Japanese judge.

Iris isn't a Watson
Van Zieks is her uncle

>Except is 100% right because a LOT of the dialogue involves the brits being colossal bigots to Naruhodo and Susato for being Japanese among other issues.
Yes, so?
That's not the reason they didn't bring it over.

Depends on the build, I used Canary build 989 and it ran almost perfectly, while the current canary build runs like ass.

Just played though first case. In the two pictures given, there is a glaring contradiction in how one has glass half full, other fully empty. This was never addressed and it annoys the fuck out of me. Also the poison could have been administered to just the victims glass which made me lose life on the bottle question... She even took the glass away anyway!? Otherwise good enough case
