Piracy - What is it and why is it ethical

Why don't you pirate all of your games, user? Don't you like free stuff?

fuck off, frog

I only emulate games if I can't find them for sale anywhere. The logic I use is this: what company is losing money from me emulating Lunar or Skies of Arcadia? Wouldn't they put them on sale if they wanted some cash?

I like free stuff but I also like spending money. Help.

torrent and if you like it buy it. done

You should think that the more money you spend on bullshit, the longer it will take you to retire.

So you generally purchase things on a moral principle? Aren't you ever tempted to just torrent something recent at least once? Nobody's inclined to shell out 60 bucks all the time, eh?

I've been tempted. However, I have an american-tier ISP, so download speeds are terrible. So it's a deterrent. Assuming that wasn't true, though, I'd generally just buy the game on steam and try it out. If I don't like it, I refund it. I only do it once in a while so steam doesn't throw a hissy fit.

>nobody's inclined to shell out 60 bucks
I've never paid 60 bucks for a game in like 10-15 years. I avoid any game with that price tag.

Spend your money on things that can't be pirated. Easy.

The Epic Exclusives plus the fact that I'm just beginning a new life gonna make me ahoy like crazy. Already ahoyed more in 1 week than I did in 7 years
